It's nice to see the new monsters from Rappan Athuk and other books illustraded. One thing I didn't like about the RA Bestiary was the lack of illustrations, ToH IV takes care of that.
With all the references to the Creature Collections, how about a Creature Collection Complete?
A lot of us would like to see that but I believe White Wolf still owns the IP for the Creature Collection. Look forward to ordering ToH4!

I would be glad to see and consider buying it if it comes to fruition. I always loved the Creature Collections and all the Scarred Land material.
I will definitely preorder this soon. I've been waiting months now for my players to level up where they can take on Tome of Horrors Complete's Mire Brute (he is going to put some serious hurt on them). It will finally be this weekend so I don't want to get distracted by a shiny new monster. My players fear the Tome of Horrors Complete so I'm looking forward to telling them the news about the new one after a long, hard fought battle with the Brute.
Question, if we preorder this now, is it possible to pick up our copy at GenCon? I remember reading somewhere that the preorders would ship after GenCon. I would just buy the book at GenCon but I want the PDF as well since its easier to use at my gaming table.

I only scanned the monsters thru G before I came here to type this. Here's my review:

If anyone comes to this thread who is on the fence about getting another monster book. Get it now. It's that simple.
The original derivation seems to be from the Epic Level Handbook. I presume they are referencing the Pathfinder version which appears in RA.
As for boarfolk is probably because they were magically created.
Ok, I bit the bullet and purchased it. I have the original Tome of Horrors 3.0 and 3.5, but haven't picked up the Pathfinder Ultimate version, but saw this one and boy am I glad I picked this one up. Several things in the first 25 pages are exactly the monster's I have been looking for to fit into my planned campaign!

They use the same nomenclature referencing 3.5 stuff by Necromancer Games, so I'm more inclined to say it's a mistake that should be corrected.
It would have also been nice to include similar information for Ha-Naga, Thought Eater, Grimlock and Scorpionfolk/Sandmasker (I'm not sure if those are all converted monsters).Not as bad as 'Malevolent & Benign', though.
I just now ordered TOH4 and I gotta say, WOW!! This book will get a *LOT* of use!!
I would give them a little time on that one 137ben, they haven't even released the book yet! Yes, that is a very nice convenience though I agree. I presume it will eventually mean buying a new file for HeroLab also.

Yep, a pre-order is just that, a pre-order. So not even Mr. Reyst gets an early look unless he purchases it. He will have to wait like everyone else or purchase the pdf early as a pre-order :) Once he has the file though I am sure he will add it to the sites.

So on first glance at the spider lich, seems like a great concept, but it seems to me to be more of a template for a phase spider, so what would it look like with the phase spider abilities included?
Also, as a previous purveyor of monsters, Did you happen to include the storm elemental s and black Unicorns (of course i did my own version of this one in 3.5 when we wrote Citadel of Fire, evil as hell).

I can’t seem to checkout, it won't register my shipping selection. I’m trying to preorder both hardcover and PDF and it tells me “$0.00” for shipping, even when I choose the first option for shipping inside of the United States.
I put in my email address, and hit “Proceed to checkout”, but I get an error message telling me “One or more items require shipping. Please select a shipping cost.” And as I said, I did choose the first option. I even have tried "Update Cart" to see if that needs to be selected after choosing my shipping option, it still did not change.
Not sure what I need to do for it to register my shipping selection?
I found myself amused the other week when I noticed that Frog God GAMES was blocked at school, but not Paizo :)
Ah, there it goes. I think it actually did have something to do with being at work. I just tried it at home and it now added the shipping cost when I chose the first option.
It's odd, FGG loaded just fine at work, but trying to finish the order was another matter.
