Maybe a snowcat from the Paksenarrion series. It steals your soul!!

In the old cartoon Flight of Dragons there were some sort of screaming rat (it was a swarm, I believe) that drove you insane. There were the regular kind and a King. Anyone remember what they were called?

A hnakra from Out of the Silent Planet.

Not really a monster but I want stats drawn up for the entire gang from Scooby-Doo. Daphne must be a Succubus............

Daphne as a succubus, no, but maybe a half-succubus or the fey creature template;)

I remember those rat creatures and I would like stats for them. I do not remember there name off the top of my head though.

Hnakra would be cool but is that book public domain?

Here's one I had forgotten about. The Helmeteers from Titus Alone were one evil pair of bast@rds.

For that matter, perhaps some stats on Muzzlehatch himself. Man, that was a great character.

Elemental swarms and clockwork bears and wolves also more robots
(Those can be in any world)

Ok if we go that road...

ALL enemies and bosses from Zelda games.

To me they can not, it doesn't make sense that wizard use candles in one part of the world and others build entire robots.

I would love some Zelda "inspired" monsters.

An elemental swarm would be pretty cool actually. I'd love to see more adventures in the Elemental Planes and pray for a new The Great Beyond book this year.

I'd also love robots. I think the ones in the Inner Sea Bestiary could be reprinted with the serial numbers filed off, but I would like to see new ones. Personally, I'd love to see the tripods from War of the Worlds statted up. Funnily enough, I've used that before in a Pathfinder game. And currently, I'm running a Mesoamerican/Caribbean styled game that involves Ancient Astronauts, so more robots and aliens are a-ok in my book.

For anyone that's played Dark Souls, I'd love to see the Thistle Bush people that you see in Dark Root Garden. They have whip vines for arms and when they grapple you, their thistle chests stab into you.

I have been wanting elemental swarms for a while now and swarms of fey, dragons, aberrations, constructs, etc. Though I do remember we have a sprite swarm in the fey revisited book and one construct swarm in one of the books. But none of these are in hardcover books.

There's gotta be an aberration swarm. I feel like that's a mandatory niche for aberrations.

Wizards aren't the ones building the robots they come from alien civilizations which can be found in nearly any universe

Okay...here is the compiled Bestiary 5 wishlist:

Please let me know if this works and is visible to others;

Master Bestiary Wishlist.

Some notes:

Due to space/time concerns, for mythological creatures and such I mostly list a name (although they are organized into two major sections, origin and likely creature type)

Some creatures are listed in multiple sections, especially if they could be statted up as different categories.

I so far haven't put in prior AP/campaign setting monsters...that will be a future task, although I would prefer to list where they come from (most of the prior wishlist weren't that specific)

I generally didn't bother with really broad wishes. So I left off things like "more angels", but included specific types of angels requested. I also left off a lot of really specific requests regarding abilities/HD/etc. I suspect designers try to avoid copying that specifically demands here. (also..made my job easier.

I also didn't include "more monsters with x abilities" unless they were specific or new/unique abilities

I have also been a bit negligent of including novel WOTC copyright monsters.

I have tried to keep things alphabetical...but forgot to do that for some sections.

Let me know if there are any issues

Typos found in the list:

1. Strigoi are not Roman; they're Romanian and go in the European (eastern) section. While Romania was named after Rome, they're two very distinctly different cultures. And, from personal experience, I know how irate some Romanians can get if you mix up Romania and Roman Empire.

2. Zodiac creatures are Asian mythology. Unless someone posted a Western verion of it, using Virgo and such; if so, ignore this.

Those are all of the ones I spotted at a quick look. It's a very good list!

1. Your correct: I was thinking Strix for Rome.

2. Both zodiacs have been referenced through the wish lists...I will add an entry to Asia

P.S. at some point I will probably break up these entries into more narrowly defined cultures, depending on the number of critters generated from specific cultures

My eventual goal is to add the earlier wishlist threads to this compilation...

If you do combine the lists, I think they would have enough material for the next three books in one neat list ^^

Broken down by distinct culture even allows them to choose what flavor they want if they're going for a theme ^^

Thank you for your work on compiling this list.

Umm, I'm sorry but do you mind posting it in a word format? I don't have Microsoft Office. :(

Yeah, I'm having the same issues on OpenOffice here.

Nightmare + Abyss from soul calibur 3

I want a race like master Yoda's. Short, agile, and powerful psionics(force)powers.

Well if were going star wars then I would like an alien race like Ahsoka Teno or the tentacle headed girl from Jabba the hut's palace.

Dark Archive

That would be a good player race

Dragon78 wrote:

I wouldn't mind Togruta and Twi'lek races being added too. Just thought that it would be cool to have a Small psionic race that was naturally agile.

Doesn't work for me.

Wizards and such stuff are very smart, creative and whatever they will find out how to work with electricity when they get that example from aliens.

A wizard is ten times smarter then the smartest human on this earth, so they would have found out if they seen robots in their world

So it doesn't make sense to me. It's like putting zebra's in a lion cage and say they work together...

And if I would have done such a list nobody would notice or care and Mr.Daigle would probably have ignored it.

This world is so corrupted and evil, it creates its own monsters, me being the prime example...

Well I would like some small and medium races with various psychically related abilities.

-Textile Telekinesis- using mental stat for str score for lisfting, maybe a feat at a later level that allows for hit and damage as well.
-Limited Telepathy- like the lashunta ability.
-Telekinesis- like the spell usable 1 round per level in 1 round increments as a supernatural ability.
-Self Telekinesis- uses telekinesis to enhance physical abilities like jumping, running, climbing, etc.
-Psychical enhanced senses- bonus based on level to perception and sense motive checks, or blindsense/blindsight vs any creature with an intelligence score.
-Mind reading- as detect thoughts usable 1/day per level.
-Ability to touch an object and know were it has been, who has owned/used it, etc..
-Ability to touch a person and know what ailment afflicts them, how they died, etc.
-Ability to see into the future granting insight bonuses on initiative, reflex saves, etc..
-Ability to see into the present like clairvoyance/scrying.
-Ability to see into the past granting insight bonus to knowledge history checks.
-Psychic blast ability that stuns or dazes a target.

There are wizards on Golarion who have been trying to make robots without magic for a while and they haven't succeeded yet and they have combined knowledge. If the Technic league hasn't yet how is one normal wizard supposed to build a robot

I also like the Phantorans from the clone wars cartoon and wouldn't mind a race like them.

Silver Crusade

Slag Golem- It is in a constantly semi-molten state, can cause horrible burns and shape itself into what it needs

Dragon78 wrote:

Diamond would still be good for a golem since it the hardest natural substance known.

Tomb golems would be interesting. In fact golems made to fight specific creatures like undead, lycanthropes, aberrations, etc. would be interesting.

Fey bane cold iron golem

Lycanthrope bane silver golem
Demon bane hallowed golem
Undead bane life golem
Monstrous humanoid/magical beast bane Elysian bronze golem

Also ballista, catapult, and bombard golems

wouldn't a bombard golem be the same as a cannon golem?

Dark Archive

No bombards have better range and are indirect fire and I would hope they would be made different

I think they'd be close enough to where you could make it a variant of the cannon golem.

Then again, they do have flesh and carrion golems, which to me are pretty close.

More Demons, Daemons and Devils. These huge netherplanes are awfully slim on occupants. More Qlippoth, more Kytons. You could easily devote the entire book to planar creatures.

Constructs that are composed of light and shadows. Insectoid intelligent race that can travel through space, and is giant when fully grown. Creatures that pull other creatures into a pocket dimension that represents the creature's mind. I am not sure how the last one could work other than as a story seed though.

If I haven't mentioned this before, I would like a race that has the ability to learn a language by kissing on the lips like the Tamaranians of DC comics.

It would be nice to have at least one insect based player race.

Yes to both. We need more bugs!

I don't remember the roseblood sprite, what book was that from?

I wouldn't mind seeing most of those creatures in a hardcover book Brinebeast. Though the Azi dragons really need new art. I would really like to see the Azi dragons, Buraq, Danse Macabre, Hadhayosh, Miengu, Havero, Get of Iblis, and Black Jinni.

What is a painted creature(template)?

Lol@ Brinebeast

Those are exactly all the AP bestiary monsters I didn't care for, all others you left out I want in bestiary 5.

Spare for:

Azi, Sruvara – Dragon CR 15
Hadhayosh – Magical Beast CR 18
Danse Macabre – Undead CR 14

I like those

The Roseblood Sprite comes from Conquest of Bloodsworn Vale. The art for them isn't that great, but other than that they are are evil fey that breaks the usual norm of a beautiful fey woman being associated with plants. Instead these fey are male, evil, and have a strong connection with roses, a flower normally associated with women and love.

The Painted Creation Template is AWESOME! Basically you turn the pictures of a painting into a monster similar to the creature that has been painted except with the construct creature type.
So say your a rich noble and need some guardians that you don't want standing around all the time, just get a painting of are horrible monster made to hang on your walls and when theives come by then the monster literally jumps off the painting to attack. Now apply this idea to things like cave paintings or graffiti and you got some pretty great encounters in the works.

Well to be fair a lot of these also come from Modules and a couple other places. And there is a lot of good stuff in there it just needs some polish. But Paizo staff have mentioned before that everything will not get an update but I can still hope! :)

Sorry to disappoint you but I believe Danse Macabre was listed as one of the "not getting a reprint" monsters due to its singular nature. That being said similar "event" monsters have been printed since in bestiaries so it could be that they've changed their minds on what is and isn't bestiary appropriate.

I also like the mask golem from one of the earlier modules and would love for that one to make it in a hardcover bestiary.
