Sure, 6. Can you tell me how many quivers of arrows you have and how many arrows you appear to have? (obviously I can't count the exact number, but I could probably tell the difference between 20 and 5, you know?)
So, yeah, reading the acrobatics skill, I definitely dropped the ball on how hard the acrobatics DC would be to get you when you're 25 ft up--I thought it was lower than it is by a large margin, thinking I could just jump. But yeah, it seems impossible even if I roll a 20. But I'm not just going to forfeit and give you a free win, as that would be unfair to the other gladiators, so I will try this tactic...
Round 1
Arian runs to the center of the arena and hits the deck, trying to get cover from the arrows.
Move to F10. Total Defense. Free action: drop prone. Your go.

Llaelian's gladiator 1 |

Hovering is a DC20 fly check and moving less than half speed is a DC15 fly check. Otherwise, as long as you move only the mount speed i.e. 80 ft for a roc, you can cast a spell and attack without penalties. If you move more, you get penalties on attack or concentration check on casting. And no, she does not have to land at any point.
Liane has a single quiver (around 20 arrows) and another bag plus two pouches.
If you plan to wait before I've exhausted my arrows, this will last very long.... I've got multiple back up plans for that:)
To be clear about the way you could catch Liane and because 3D fight is not easy to figure, if you are enlarged you just need to jump 5 foot up to reach Liane, a DC20 acrobatics check because you occupy a 10 ft tall cube and have a 10 foot reach. This was discussed and established in my last fight. If you are not enlarged, then its a DC60 :(
Round 2
Puzzled by her opponent action, Liane keeps to her plan. She directs Pearls in a lazy curved flight towards K4 while she draws her bow with her right hand (the hand with the buckler on) and casts another spell.

Champion of mbauers |

Round 2
Yeah, I just glanced over that match and saw the DC 20 and was like: "Oh, that's nothing". But I didn't realize he was enlarged. 20 I can do. 30, I can do. 60, not so much. And yeah, you might have enough arrows, but I guess we'll find out, hehe.
Arian crouches low like some kind of scuttling beetle, moving slowly and methodically and readying himself for any attacks.
Enter stance, Crawl to G9, total defense.

Llaelian's gladiator 1 |

Round 4
Liane swings her mount back to K4, moving her bow to her left hand and drawing a first arrow. As she gets a full view of her opponent, she lets the arrow fly.
Standard action bow attack: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 7 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 31, damage 1d6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 + 2 = 8
critical threat: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 7 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 25, crit damage: 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (5, 2) + 8 = 15
Bow attack 31 (nat 20) for 8 damage, critical confirmation 25 for an extra 15 damage.
EDIT: I'm awfully lucky with the dice roller right now, but there's going to be payback at some point.

Champion of mbauers |

Yep, that's a crit. 8 I can handle, but 23 is a bit rough. ;-) My hand is forced a bit, so here we go...
Round 4
Arian hops up and approaches, throwing a small blade at the mount, waiting to see if it strikes.
Ok, so I stand up and 5ft move to G4. I throw a shuriken at Pearl, which I believe is two increments so I took a -4. I hit a 16, but I assume that misses after looking up a roc's stats. Not trying to gripe too much, but you can take a medium-sized roc animal companion at level 1? 19 AC, 80ft flight, and 3 attacks per round (1d4/1d4/1d6) is WAY overpowered at level 1. Compare that to Bruno's camel, for example. Anyway, just my two cents. If it does hit, you need a Fort Save for Pearl DC 13 or she's unconscious. If that happens, I'll stay standing. If not, I'll hit the deck again. Then back to you!

Llaelian's gladiator 1 |

Comments on the roc: Its powerfull (high AC and attack) but has low hit points, plus you have to be a druid, which is not the best arena buuild. I had to fiddle a lot with multiple classes to get it to work. There are lots of overpowered builds but it depends against who: The Frost wielding Magus is one, for example. Or an enlarged fighter with a range weapon that can also chase me all around the arena...
Round 5
Liane fires another arrow at the half-elf then spurs Pearl over him to B4.
bow attack: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 7 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 30, damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
crit confirm: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 7 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 15, damage: 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (2, 6) + 8 = 16
Bow attack 30 (crit threat) for 8 damage.
The crit does not confirm with a 15.

Champion of mbauers |

No, I didn't mean that having a Roc is a cheesy build in this format or anything. Your build is fine--it's mitigated by the fact that we start at 3rd level and people have different ways to deal with it. I just mean that the fact that a roc is a 1st level animal companion choice for a druid is, in my opinion, a flaw in game design. As to my magus being overpowered--I disagree. Shigeharu (at least at level 3 and probably 4) is actually far worse than a standard magus--no armor allowed and reduced casting is a pretty hefty price to pay for the Kensai bonuses. Anyway, here goes...
Round 5
Arian produces a vial from his bandolier, trying to dodge the incoming missiles.
Actions: Draw 5th vial (out of 6), total defense.

Talia Virn |

You're right, overpovwered may not be the right word. Let's say it's very effective against most builds :)
Round 6
Liane once again fires another arrow at the half-elf and spurs Pearl back to K4.
Attack 24, damage 8

Champion of mbauers |

That actually misses. Prone total defense ftw! :-)
Arian stands up and hurls the vial up at Pearl, snarling as it explodes in a burst of flame on her feathers.
I haven't eaten in awhile--that bird smells good. Rrrragh!
Stand up, throw vial of alchemist's fire at Pearl. Ranged touch is a 22 (one extra range increment penalty included), Fire damage is 5 and she is on fire. Then 5ft move to H4 and he starts to "look mad".

Llaelian's gladiator 1 |

Round 6 reaction
As the vial reaches Pearl, Liane hurls herself on the side, spurring Pearl to do the same and the vial barely miss the Roc and crashes on the wall behind, showering Liane and Pearl with fire.
Ride check immediate action 23.
As Liane is back to a wall, I suppose both Liane and Pearl will take splash damage (1 for each),
Thus Pearl has to make a fly check to avoid loosing altitude vs DC 10. As she has a fly bonus of +9, it is an automatic success and I did not roll it.
Round 7
For the first time, Liane answers her opponent. "Pearl not cooked yet. You die before us."
Taking out another arrow, she fires it a the furious half-elf. And flyes
Bow attack 27, damage 9
Ride check to avoid attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23,
Pearl Fly check to avoid loosing 10 foot altitude, DC10: automatic success with a fly mod of +9
round 7
Liane bow attack: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 7 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 27, damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

Champion of mbauers |

Good game, that'll do it--I assumed you had Mounted Combat, but I figured I'd go for it just in case you didn't.
One note for future fights, though. Even though your +9 ride is an automatic success, I believe you still have to roll the d20, since the roll does occur (if we were playing in person, for example). That would mean that your good attack roll would have gone toward the ride check, therefore requiring another roll for your actual bow attack (which could have been a 1 or 2, for all we know). At this point it doesn't really matter as I have no chance and I'm not about to make you reroll on a technicality. But in other, closer matches it could very well matter. Good luck at level 4!

Thanks for your comment. I have never made any of the rolls when there is an automatic success (like DC5 ride checks every turn). So it's not as if I am chosing sometimes to roll and sometimes not. But I'll ask the Arbiter to make a ruling about it and will conform me to it. I just clarified the fact that I was not rolling because had I not, you would fairly have asked me if I had not forgotten that roll.
And thanks for the game. I know Liane build is frustrating to play because it's a defensive build and I've tried to find ways to limit most of the offensive abilities of others. But you've come up with ideas I had not considered like the poisoned shuriken. I'm going to give it further thought for the next level.
