Friend to Animals doesn't help animals.

Shadow Lodge

Sorry, I was thinking of a trait, not Friend to Animals. Looking back through the PRD however, the closest I could find was animal friend, which is pretty useless for the concept.

Grand Lodge

I am still very pleased this thread has reawakened.

I was actually talking about this concept with a few friends recently, and it was stated that if I don't play it, they would.

How would Mounted Fury Stack with a full level animal companion from a druid or similar?

Because Taking all the raging mount feats with a dual cursed nature oracle 1 / mounted fury barbarian x would be pretty epic.

Dot. I want to build this. That's all.

Grand Lodge

I am happy to see this revived.

What new material adds to this build?

Is your GM allowing material from the ACG playtest?

The Hunter has a few additional tricks, er abilities rather, that might add to your AC if you were looking to multi-class down the line. Once it is released, I would be very surprised if there wasn't additional support material included within it for animal companion-focused characters, as well, but that's still 3-4 months off.

Edited to minimize terminology confusion.

Knowing the racial favored class bonuses of the ACG classes will help, when it comes out.

New archetype for the Cavalier you might be interested in, although I understand if you're firm on the Oracle.

Human with Eye for Talent trait and Huntmaster. What really tips this archetype is A) the fact that you don't really get any benefit from being on the horse, so it's in your best benefit to treat it as a separate entity and B) you can strap your alternative banner (a hat, probably) to your horse. Your haberdashery-haunting horse can hearten heroes with his head-perched hat. How cool is that?

Just throwing it out there.

I had never seen that Archetype. I LOVE IT! definitely, my new favorite archetype! I can finally play a wild west cowboy!

Grand Lodge

Hi Black Blood and Armored Monk! My other oracle friends and I got around to talking and generally complaining about the gods that cursed us at our last monthly meeting when I saw one with a cow. I asked her about it but the cow replied instead and with a tone that matched its dull eyes it said, "My servant is busy attending my needs, you need not bother her with useless prattle. As dim-witted as she may be, powers greater than her have granted her this boon mandating that she shall be a friend to the animals. As a result of this, I the grand and sacred cow, Patty Sue, have chosen this human to be my retainer whilst I adventure and handle other matters. Now did you have other questions or may I resume directing my attendant?"

So, yeah. Maybe that answers your question and clears up any confusion. OK, bye!

Grand Lodge

Nice.

By the way, one of my DMs discovered this thread, and loves the idea.

I intend to build this up, as a back-up PC, or NPC(if the DM steals it).

It would be for Kingmaker, and 15 point buy, but still basically the same idea.

Oh man, Dune Drifter really is pretty perfect! I'm going to build this up right now...

:-D

there's also the nature soul+animal ally thing for, say, mounted rager barbarians and dragoon fighters, if that is someone's aim (and hasn't been brought up already) or sohei monks >:)
