"KICKSTARTER PROJECTS BEGINS 12-25-12 MIDNIGHT"
How am I supposed to understand a company that begins projects during the 25th Month of the year?
Honestly though, I thought they said Christmas Day: turns out it was Boxing Day.
Still excited: 6hrs to go.

The presents here are all opened, Christmas dinner cooked and ate, popped a bottle of wine, and now just watching the countdown until Razor Coast. Best Christmas ever!

Is it just me or are the pledge levels really weird?
110$ for the book.
150$ for book and players guide?? 40 $ for the players guide which can be added for 20$?
250$ for the above plus a adventure module a mini and character sheets wow 100$ extra for the adventure some character sheets and a mini.
I might have to back out of this one.

Yeah the 110 to 150 makes sense (signed copy) but the extra 100 for a mod, mini and PC sheets?
I've asked over there on KS Bill, but does adding an extra copy of book and/or PG give you the PDF as well? I intend to get both S+W and PF RPG versions but I am not after any of the non-book bits. I'll just do 2 pledges using dif accounts so I get both versions if you do not get the PDF with the extra copy... and it means they'll both be signed!
I also just thought there is nothing on the extras for international shipping, maybe you'll want to add something about that.

Yeah Killa; we may have to sweeten the pot on the $250. The $150 is also signed and numbered (its a huge PITA to do those; so we charge a bit for them)
Bill, bite your tongue! We have surprises coming but we have to fund first. I am sure our fans will be happy but no spilling the beans yet! Besides we are talking about EXCLUSIVE material here and signed items, etc. It's a good deal, trust me ;)
Blonde Frog |
Yeah, I am just looking for 2 copies of all the printed materials (1 of each version), nothing else. maybe a map if they could be added on, but I have no room for ships and stuff.
You can add on another book for $90 and player's guides for $20 so hopefully that helps you get closer to your goal.

Not sure what to pledge, really.
I just want the PF books but I'm not eager to spend $100 on a bonus adventure, so that leaves me looking for the main book and payer's guide.
$150 = 1st Mate gets me that.
$140 = Deckhand + Landlubber gets me that plus character sheets. More for less?
Am I reading that right?

Looking at the Kickstarter the pledge levels leave me feeling meh.. I'll run through my questions concerns and maybe someone can answer a few questions.
1. I'm a hold over from Nick's original supporters. From what it looks like I should be getting the 110$ level if I don't pledge anything additionally. - Is this correct?
The original deal (on Nick's site) stated that supporters would get which ever hardback they wanted and the pdfs for all the other systems it was going to support. - Will I get pdfs for both systems? (This is more of a curiosity since I'm only really interested in the Pathfinder version).
2. The Kickstarter site states:
For those fans of Razor Coast who have already pre-ordered from Sinister Adventures the first go around, you can support the Kickstarter by pledging at the $110 level. You will automatically be bumped to the $150 level at no cost once the Kickstarter Ends.
Um? What about other levels? So 110 would get me what I would be getting anyway plus the Players guide which is listed as 30$ Why do I need to pay 110 for a players guide? Oh the book is signed.. so 110-30=80$ for a signature? Can't I just pledge 30 for the player's guide?
3. Oh what is the players guide? There doesn't seem to be any information for it. Is it 10 pages of background for the players that's in the main book as well or does it contain new classes equip etc? (I've only done Pathfinders Rise of Runelords AP and the players guide doesn't contain much. If this is similar it is not worth it for me).
4. Shipping.. um I paid for international shipping originally (I haven't moved). So if I do get the players guide that should be coming with my copy of Razor Coast. Would I need to pay for additional shipping?
5. Ah customs.. so the original price I paid and the Kickstarters are different at what value will this be labeled? The original or the Kickstarter price?
6. I was also kind of interested in the extra adventure but it seems to be only available if you pay 250$ or more. If I did want it looks like 100$ beyond the 150$ stated for the main book and players guide for it, character sheets (I swear their was a download for these and I got them), and a mini. Again I'd only be interested in the module and it's not worth a 100$. A pdf of the character sheet might be useful if I can't find my copy. I also didn't see any info as to the levels of the module or it's length this would also factor into my decision to get it or not.
I'm interested in throwing a bit more money in to support but I'm really not clear as to how much I'd need to pay and what in fact I would be receiving. If more information comes along I'll hopefully be throwing some in. If not I'll just be happy to receive the main book (from my purchase on Nick's site).

You stopped reading a little too soon on that one.
For those fans of Razor Coast who have already pre-ordered from Sinister Adventures the first go around, you can support the Kickstarter by pledging at the $110 level. You will automatically be bumped to the $150 level at no cost once the Kickstarter Ends. You may also choose to do nothing and the main book will be shipped to you without any of the additional Kickstarter perks. You can confirm your pre-order on the Frog God Games website or with Lou Agresta.
So regardless of what you pledge, you will get the book sent to you as an original supporter, if I parse this correctly. I may be mistaken if the shipping costs do not match up between all the stretch goal bonuses.

I saw that.. Number 1 on my list stated that (listed it for confirmation). But I do want to support more but the only option they list to do that is the $110 option (which bumps up to 150$). Which is why I asked about the players guide price and why it plus a signature was so high etc. I may just throw in for the players guide but the outstanding questions as to what the players guide actually is and how shipping/customs will be handled are slowing me down.

I had the same questions (except for shipping) as Mir. As an original pre-order customer I was told I'd get the hardcover of my choice + PDF (I chose Pathfinder). That's all I wanted at the time. But now there is a Player's Guide and an adventure module....if I drop another 100+ bucks. After waiting this long for RC...that's a slap in the face (IMO). It will be cheaper for me to do nothing and then purchase any additional materials separately.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. Ahahahah, same boat, Razor Coast.... ehrm.
Well, preordered RC, held the order through the years, international shipping. This last factor, from previous experiences, is the one that scares me a little.
Assuming I'd wish to go for the 110$ level, should I plan for a 130$ expense (+20$ for international shipping)? In case I won't spend any money other than the original preorder, what kind of level should I expect, the 40$ or the 110$ one?

Wow, I don't know what to say. I'm an original buyer who has been hoping for years to see the final Razor Coast and I have been patiently looking forward to this Kickstarter, but I am completely confused. It doesn't seem like there is much incentive to join in on the Kickstarter. Maybe because we are getting the $110 Deckhand level for a discount.

There is NO incentive to sign on unless you're willing to drop another $110 for the upgrade to the $150 level and get an extra book...which you will be able to purchase later for about 30 bucks. Very disappointed.
