Shirts are dandy and all, but why not patches? They would be easier to make and they could be put on bags, jackets, or what have you (shirts). You could use the religious, society factions, and etc. Being cheaper, being able to choose where it went, and not having to worry about having your size would be a big bonus.
Buttons would also work! All PFS GMs would be required to wear a minimum number of buttons as flair (say 15) to express themselves.
I could see wearing a sash with my faction, deities holy symbol, and whatever.

@Marthian I think the minimum number of buttons as flair was more of a joke than anything else.
In general I dislike the re-roll rule, but I understand it, and I have seen it save someones life in a higher level scenario. I prefer patches over buttons, but both are ideas I bet paizo has considered. Although they might not be popular either. The faction T-Shirts, from what I know, were not that popular and that is why paizo went to the one shirt a year thing.

The patch with Zon-Kuthon's holy symbol would be fit in on a biker jacket easily. But I would really like one for Norgorber or Sarenrae.
And yes the buttons as flair was a joke referencing Office Space.

Because, y'know, 15 is really just the minimum. You could always wear more.

I had much the same idea, because you always hear in the starting scenarios about the Pathfinder patch on your shoulder - who wouldn't want one in real life? I'm planning on ordering one from a third-party - either I'll pay a bit more for a single patch, or I'll sell the others at cost to recoup the money.

I agree that we need more flair.
People can roll dice anywhere. I mean, Pathfinder Society is about the atmosphere and the attitude. That's what the flair's about. It's about fun.
But only 15 pieces of flair? Well, ok, 15 is minimum, ok? But some people choose to wear more and we encourage that, ok? You do want to express yourself, don't you?
I would love to see a Band Aid-style sticker with an iconic yelling "MEDIC" that you have to wear when your character gets knocked down to 0 hit points. You know.
That would be expressing yourself.
Flair.
And a terrific smile.

I don't care much for the re-rolls, but I'm interested in some Golarion bling. Buttons and patches would be nice, and hell even I can make buttons easily enough. What I'd like are some wayfinders, and maybe some holy symbols I can wear around my neck.
For cleverness, make the wayfinder have a spot just large enough to put a d20.

I have been waiting for a third party CosPlayer to create these things... pm me if you are that person. I can make one out of cardboard and ducktape if you want :)
While I'm not that cosplayer, I did have an idea to take a cheap pocket watch, tear out the gears (to recycle for a steampunk project later) and replace with a cheap compass.

Emphasis mine: you cannot sell patches with Paizo copyrighted symbols on them as it would then fall outside the Fair Use Community Policy, I think.

You could also use wooden coins to represent lots of stuff. We use them at SCARAB for our PFS Campaign coins which are used for drawings, prizes and for players to track what scenarios they have completed and such, but one of our guests commissioned the coolest charms for his lanyard. You can see it here:

Patches or buttons would be great. I don't leave the house without a collared shirt, so buying a t-shirt isn't going to happen, re-roll or not.
I agree with the collar bit, I want polo shirts with a pocket. I'd prefer custom embroidery, but that might get expensive and Paizo certainly can't stock every variation, so the patch that I can put on anything is a compromise. Heck, if I could I'd silk-screen a LARGE faction symbol on the back to go with the small embroidered one on the front pocket.

Hence at cost, thereby skirting such concerns...otherwise, I could 'clean up' with how many people want one.

I'm assuming this is an American thing; here in the UK, badges and patches are for children.
Mind you, I feel self-conscious wearing my Ruby Phoenix t-shirt in public...
Yep. Though the occasional metalhead back in the 80's might have tried to fill up his denim jacket with patches and badges these days you just don't see them on the streets of Britain. So when we go on holiday to Florida and see kids and adults bedecked in dozens of Disney badges on a sash it seems rather odd!
A bespoke Tee with Pathfindery images would be cool. Of course a couple of inkjet transfer sheets and the community images allows this in a limited way. Home made transfers never seeming to last very long!

I think that might hurt even more!
There should be a rule, have a Pathfinder Society specific tattoo, get a permanent +1 bonus on every d20 roll. I bet that would get some people to do it.
Oh my God yes.

So I just purchased custom patches.
Here's a preview of the patches we're having made, Shadow Lodge and Lantern Lodge. Can't wait to get them!
NashNova |
Oh damn, I really want one of the Lantern Lodge ones!
That's awesome!
Take hi-res image files in an appropriate format to someone who does custom embroidery. Paizo has all the faction logos in the Community Use Package here. That's what I did.
I really wish Paizo would make official patches though. I would buy them up!

So I deleted the preview picture on Facebook, forgetting that I linked it here...sorry guys!
BUT our faction patches came in today and they look AMAZING! I think I might put mine on a leather belt pouch. So I can wear it to renaissance faires, and I could wear it to PFS games, and carry dice or something in it.

Nash, those look pretty slick. Nicely done!
On the tattoo idea, if anyone is in central Michigan one of my regular players is a tattoo artist. His wheelhouse is in doing geek artwork, and he's always looking for more game-related stuff. I'll see if I can get a copy of the 8-bit Nintendo sleeve he did for someone.
I've considered getting a PFS tattoo. Heck, I've already got one for Legion of Everblight on my leg (from Hordes/ Privateer Press) and I'm due to get more work done.
I don't think I can advertise for him on the boards here, but if you're interested, just PM me and I'll get you the contact information.

WHAT ARE THE FREAKIN' ODDS!? We were both pretty shocked. As long as we play PFS we'll represent with these patches!!!
I'm determined to play as many scenarios as I can in the Shadow Lodge before it's not possible anymore. We haven't even played a season 4 scenario yet. We've only done season 3 stuff. So I have no idea what's happening in the story, or what leads to these factions being NPCs.
