This has come up now by a few of the group

Level 3 or a new lower level character?

My suggestion is to take the lower level one. You seem to work very well together and you are already a large group.

But the decision is yours to make. Either a low level or a level 3 is fine with me. Take what you want to play. I can always insert a new character without problems.

Grand Lodge

I'll be on a plane for most of the day on Monday...but I will play whatever makes the most sense. Having two 3rd level characters might ensure party survivability; however I wouldn't want it to be a cakewalk either.

My Inquisitor just finished his first scenario so he can afford to buy some goodies, and can use his 2 PP to pick up a Wand of CLW.

Dice roll-off to see who gets to keep their level 3 char? :)

Thod did you have an idea what you wanted to run?

I thought I already wrote - the Goblinblood Dead. Got distracted by the 4.2 rules yesterday. Will post in the next half an hour.

First post is up Here

Please post everyone to ensure everyone is aware that I posted. It is easy to miss this - I did so in the past - waiting ...

So please dot the new thread.

Dotting, what subtier ware we running this at? (Artemis)

Grand Lodge

Tier 1-2 - we still have some level 1 with us.

I played this on the weekend and in one encounter we ended up with 3 characters at 0, 1, 2 HP after round 3 - each had taken some 20+ damage in a single hit (edit: this was on tier 4-5).

The Exchange

YIKES! Good thing I'm never very far from my shield!

Alright, likely going to bring in a fresh level 1 then to take. Human Flame Oracle, or Elven Treesinger druid? Anyone have a preference?

Grand Lodge

If Chanix comes with us I'll take my Inquisitor...otherwise I'll bring Tal. If we don't know either way by tomorrow morning I'll flip a coin.

Closed. I just can't edit the discussion thread title as I carried discussions over. But you should have one campaign less in your profile now.

I'm going to be in Canada for the next 4 days. So my posts will probably be few and far between based on wifi availability

Frozen Stream Human Monk/12

Not sure how much I can post today...I am sailing all day.

Grand Lodge

Sorry for slow postings. I enjoyed a great day at the Olympic Games with the family yesterday - Mondern penthalon at Greenwich Park.

And today we cleaned out the garden.

I will probably post slowly over the next three days. I'm hopping over to Germany to bring he kids to the grandparents. I have the iPad with me. But two days will be taken up mainly driving.

I should probably buy some gear! Any recommendations, all I have is the spoils from the last adventure which I believe is just gold, right? I was not able to get any of the masterwork armour/saps/rapiers, etc....

Liberty's Edge

Masterwork gear is "always available"...so you can use your gold to purchase them at any time. You can also use your prestige points to buy an item of 750gp or less....I almost always pick up a wand of CLW with my first two points.

You will find out. Your mission is a two part check - a) finding what you look for b) identifying it

A) couldn't be helped in Absalom but B) will be automatic now and is the part that is the more difficult one

Too late to edit the post and I am fine if you rule I can't add it, but...

I forgot to add my +1 due to Hatred (for dwarves) against the bugbear...goblinoid right?

Interesting question - does it carry over to undead goblinoids ?

On the wrong computer - so haven't yet been able to check if you are successful or not.

I'll double check the PRD. I think that all race subtypes carry over when you apply the skeleton template.

**EDIT**

Here's the relevant PRD:

PRD wrote:
Type: The creature's type changes to undead. It retains any subtype except for alignment subtypes (such as good) and subtypes that indicate kind (such as giant). It does not gain the augmented subtype. It uses all the base creature's statistics and special abilities except as noted here.

Linked here

So I guess it does NOT carry over :)

Knowledge 10 can be done untrained. That's the reason I split it. So you won't be abe to get the DC15 nature check but can roll for the DC19.

Heh, yeah, I'm a little bummed, but *hopefully* I can recover since it is a RAID array.

Grand Lodge

I tried here to be as fair as possible with the actions. Unfortunately Chanix missed to find the trap and there was no way to avoid it while moving around.

There is a lot of discussion going on right now about PBP. This is a typical situation that is easier to do at the table as you can ask people - move your miniature around.
Off course - this easily can cause meta-gaming - oh - the GM wants me to move around - there must be a trap here somewhere ...

It might be harsh to have taken out Priscilla - but she needed to move around to heal and as such was the most likely (in my mind) apart of Chanix who would should be affected.

Please post actions - as you just made 'A LOT' of noise.

Liberty's Edge

This is going to be a good opportunity to role play a problem solving situation. I like it...but I admit I would like it a lot less if I was the one at the bottom of the pit.

Yes - no problem. Good luck !!

Liberty's Edge

Ahhh shucks...I'm already wearing the rope! LOL

Grand Lodge

All

Sorry for the delay. I forgot Desna's Good Dreams and this is a typical example for PBP games where a small decision can cause more ripples as around the table as you make the decision instantaneously - or if it is too late - don't go back.
I wait until tonight and will do the save for Priscilla when I haven't heard back.

Yes - with me being one of the outspoken persons on the boards about PBP at the moment I'm wanting to ensure doing it properly. The downside of PBP - every decision a GM ever makes is preserved for eternity ...
