Okay. I realized that I missed this thread, and I didn't want to do that as I post here regularly so...
This...isn't easy for me. But as stated before, this is a lot more important than a bike. And as an aside, you can share the link outside of this site with friends and family.
I realize this is the same thing I posted in the fawtl and treehouse threads, but I want to keep my verbage the same as...well, I've never done anything like this before. As noted above, it is not easy to ask for this kind of help, but I think it is important to do so in this case. Thanks for listening, and again as noted above, please share with friends and family.

Okay, time for a bit of an update...
Thank you, everyone. Please continue to spread the word, if you can.

*takes hugs and positive feelings, and channels some more*
I hope the weekend will be good, I got 2 games, including one that I have no idea what it will be like... I'm having to create a character in a system I happen to own in my collections, but with which I'm largely unfamiliar... so I don't know if the guy will be well made enough.
TOp of the day and excellent weekend to ya'll

Sorry for being scarce of late, life's been a bit dark and I've been trying to avoid sharing that overmuch -- it has a kind of corrosive effect.
On the plus side, we finally got an *actual* manager at work versus a M.I.N.O. (Manager In Name Only) who has the *right* philosophy about busting ass and getting the old crap out of the store.
It makes me a bit nostalgic, even.

Thoughts?
Hard to give an opinion on this specific article that won't go into Grander Politics, but sadly the nature of humanity is that some people's faces will inevitably join the Leopards Eating People's Faces Party.

After what happened last month, I discovered that my Field of F!cks -- long barren, salted, and irradiated -- has seemingly overnight produced a bumper crop. Of knives. I have knives sprouting up faster than zucchinis, faster than kudzu.
No spoons. Only knives.
Edit: If you have people in your life who are sympathetic to LGBTIQ/QUILTBAG folks, equality, and basic human dignity, please take a moment or two to implore them to get out and vote for Democrats this November. If your area elects judges too, Google them for their decisions on LGBTIQ/QUILTBAG issues. Remind your people this isn't the time for protest votes or being unwilling to choose a less-than-perfect candidate. Convince them this is literally life and death for us (and other minorities too), because it is.

Some of the seeming throwaway comments in the article worry me/make me stand up and take notice. Primarily the idea that she has not encountered hate outside of a few specific individuals. Are the individual, disgusting voices tolerated by these who disagree so long as they win elections, or are they dismissed/forgiven outright/seen as eccentric?
Given the number of Republicans I met who think they personally penned the emancipation proclamation(and that I should directly thank them for it), the article makes me think.

On a positive note: the bariatric group I'm in on Facebook has 16,000 members and more than 90% are women. This is their first year doing an annual awards and they have put me in the running with everyone else. I'm not just in there, I'm currently in the lead by a wide margin. They all know that I'm trans. They all have seen current pictures of me. I'm certainly not the prettiest person in the group. It's really just a great feeling to be listed along with all the other ladies. It's an even better feeling that they are voting for me.

So I'm getting back into an old homebrew project of mine: The Obedience Project. I did a little bit before then my motivation just dried up. But now I'm feeling it again!
If anyone here likes homebrew stuff and wants to give me their thoughts, feel free!

That moment when you read a heartwarming story* and realize you are the most boring slacker lesbian ever.
* But sweet Jeebus, don't read the comments.

Kinda weird, but amazing overall.
