So here is the contest. I'm going to tell you about this new item, and you get to name it. If I pick your name, then you win a suprise reward (hint, it is a thank you).
So here is the item concept:
It is a ring, or whatever, that allows instantaneous communication between wearers. It can be done once per day and with a message of no more than 10 words. It works at no more than 300 feet and works as an immediate action.
I have the item created in everything but name. So help me out here, if you please.

Anyhow... Whisper Slip Ring.
And when you do sign a contract the ring becomes cursed and cannot be removed with out also losing the finger.
"Ring of Tactical Communication"
"Ring of Rapid Duologue"
Also, I will second the WhispeRing suggestion.

Ring of the Next El?
hehehe
but seriously isn't this already an item? I remember there being such in my old Forgotten Realms campaign in 2e but also this is direct from the FR Wiki
Each of these silver rings is inscribed with the Draconic word for friendship. While a ring of communication is worn, the wearer can clearly hear anything said (even if whispered quietly) by anyone else within 1 mile who is wearing another ring of communication to whom the wearer is attuned. To become attuned, two or more ring of communication wearers need to touch their rings together and speak the command word. Any number of ring wearers can become attuned to one another, so long as they are all attuned together at the same time.
The wearer remains attuned until he removes the ring (or until all other wearers to which he is attuned remove theirs) or attunes himself to a different ring wearer.
Faint divination; CL 5th; Forge Ring, detect thoughts; Price 2,000 gp.

** spoiler omitted **
I never played 1st or 2nd ed, and never payed much attention to most of the settings as my first dm used Eberron and I've always used my own homebrewed setting (if any specific one). The major difference in those rings and mine is the limit, and as such a much cheaper price.
