I just asked if Paizo was going to add a Barbarian PreGen to the list of Pregens and I got this answer.
Dragnmoon wrote:Are you go going to put out a Barbarian Pregen? There's been some discussion about that, but - as of this second - doing so is not on the agenda. If there's enough interest and that changes we'll let folks know.
Well I for one am interested! If you guys are to tell Paizo that in this thread!
Let's let them know.

I'm interested as well! Barbarian as a class and as an iconic via Amiri is much more compelling and enticing (Not that way lol) for new players. I have 3/4 female players in my group, and one of them, after playing a scenario as Valeros, was not coming back until she noticed Amiri on my GM screen.
Plus "Well trained/conditioned" fighter, compared to "Giant's bastard sword swinging raging" barbarian... For us its more complicated, for new players, that seems like a simple decision

According to the video posted at www.paizo.com/beginnerbox (9:48-9:59) you can get the barbarian info on that same page.
I just can't seem to find it.

You can get the barbarian class for free in the Player Pack.

Cool. I wish this would have came out a about 2 years ago when I first found Pathfinder, it is so much nicer IMO that the core rule book.

Bring on the Barbarian and the monk pregen....
While there is a Barbarian Class with the Online Content, I am not aware of a Monk Beginner Box class.

Hey Paizo, thank you for the free pdfs of the Player Pack and the GM Kit!
Will Paizo consider releasing a Player Pack II introducing another class and a few more options? Or maybe another core race or two -- like the halfling and the half-orc -- just to expand the beginners options a bit? I think further small additions in future Player Packs, on occasion, will maintain interest over time and facilitate enthusiasm for the Core Rule Book. KNowing the CRB and the APG and all the other material versus the content of the BB, I figure there's plenty of "room" to throw in a few add-on's without "giving away the store" so-to-speak.
Whatever is decided I love this "gateway" product! :-D

I'd prefer for additional content for BBox to stop riiiight here, for one of the bigger appeals of this product is that it doesn't swamp the players with options, something that's a well-documented issue with "full" 3.5/PF.
Barbarian Class has already been given as an Option for the Beginner Box in the Beginner Box Player Pack, that is why I would like to see a PreGen.

Part of the reason that we selected the classes we did is that they have relatively simple rules. Most (if not all) of the other classes require additional—and more complicated—rules than we want in the Beginner Box environment. Players interested in more complex classes should probably be considering the Core Rulebook.

dont add more classes. This just blurs there distinctiveness, and younger/newer players like to feel there pc is different/special
Add new options for the 4 classes (maybe someoutdoory stuff so a fighter or rogue could feel rangery), and for free release the odd barbarian link up

+1 or closer to +0.6
I personally would like to see additional modules in the BasicSet style or maybe supplemental "Booster" character packs. So my new players can choose from a stack and off we go.

We will very likely do this, but we need to find the right time for it, and that time probably won't be for several weeks yet due to a number of factors.
We know people want it. We know we _should_ do it. Now we just have to actually put it together.
Before the weekend, perhaps?
Please?

As we are preparing to play the BB and Pathfinder FOR THE FIRST TIME, it would be awesome to have the Barbarian as a dowloadable pregen, especially the iconic one. In fact, it would be great to have all the iconics as download pregens at level 1. Please?!!
I understand it won't be formatted like the great pregens in the box, but something like it in 8.5 x 11 form would be the next best thing!!

Well, that was a couple months ago now. Any update? I'm starting a game next week and would love to have the Barbarian as another option for my PCs. Although I presume the silence means it hasn't moved forward.

The Beginners Box additional Players supplement has exactly what you are inquiring about.
It did not when I downloaded, it had the Barbarian Class but not a Pregen. Did they add it?

Humans are currently the dominant race in the world. Their empires and nations are vast, sprawling things. Humans carve names for themselves with the strength of their sword arms and the power of their spells. Physically, humans range from dark to pale, thin to fat, and tall to short, in any combination. Humans are known for their flexibility, ingenuity, and ambition, and they tend to be accepting of both dwarves and elves. Humans have a wide range of gods and religions. Ambition drives countless humans to adventure, whether for wealth, acclaim, social status, arcane knowledge, or just the thrill of danger. Human names have countless variations based on culture, history, and heroes.

I do this for my new players so they can see what the numbers are supposed to look like. I do have them to the work, but it's nice to see what the end result should be.
