hope all is well, last we heard I think you were changing jobs, all work out ok?
Wow, does that feel like a life time ago. I gave up on the plumbing, and went into my fall-back career: mold remediation. Working in Northern Alberta fixing leaky/poorly built structures. My income more than doubled, so things are pretty good. :)
Sorry for sparse posting. Nurgle still hasn't given up on me and whatever ails me right now seems to steal directly from my spare time by making me slow and unconcentrated.

Seriously, if I even looked at a place that had serious mold damage I'd end up on a respirator. The same affect could be achieved by dousing me in grass pollen.

I need to go back into the ears, nose, and throat specialist who fixed my nose for me awhile back. He wanted to give me prednisone twice a year for my allergies but I owe his office money still... kinda don't want to show my face until I have a check to give him, lol. I haven't finished my taxes yet because they're contacting the IRS for me to get everything they have so I can amend last years and file for the years I missed. As soon as that is done though, I'm going to see the doctor. This last month, especially with 4 cats in the house, has been killing me and it's technically still winter here. Spring is really going to suck.
Hey just a warning that I will be tooling around the countryside on a motorbike for the next couple of days (4-6) and internet might be scarce.

Yeah, now I'm in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. The plan is to tool around the Mekong Delta and then go north to Hanoi. And now I'm really gone :P bus in 30 minutes.
I saw a documentary about a bunch of guys who did a similar trip riding dirtbikes. Took them about a week.
I hope so feytharn... although it wouldn't surprise me if BBB did want to see the Kaiser's Slattern. :P

Stupid humans. We were supposed to have a snow storm, so all the schools preemptively announced last night that they were going to be closed today. As of this morning, we have slightly less than a trace, I think a dusting of snow would be greatly overstating it.
I think we should rename most governmental agencies as something between fear-mongers, wolf-criers, and wimps.
Hahahaha, that would be a hell of a town, Mark! Good grief. That would be quite the haul, Fey.....hmmmmm. I may be able to get out your way some time next year. If my luck should blow that way, I would like to grab a brew with at least one of you fellas.
I imagine that we could get just about anywhere by train. I hope that my friend actually gets stationed there. I also have a buddy going to Landstuhl if that is any closer.

Sigh... at the moment I am struggling to get my 'household electrics' disaster resolved without suspending my subscriptions.
If I manage to get a new TV set, a working stovetop, a graphic board that doesn't black out every 1/2 hour or so (if I am lucky) and some RAM to replace what went rogue (I already have the printer, the mouse, the keyboard and a backup screen), I might end up backing his - but sadly I doubt it will happen.
Just sell Orient Express and Masks of Nyarlathotep...I take Masks :)
I have two but random organ collecting would make me the man to beat in the apocalypse preparedness circles.....much cooler than canned goods and diesel generators.
It would be even better if I could just put you in the storage room to keep at maximum freshness!

That is actually a tough question - I know players who love the system and as many who loathe it, which actually surprises me, since I don't find it that much different from most other fast, streamlined, skill based systems - I prefer the Unisystem (surprise), but SW would be a close contender.
The travellers edition is about 10 bucks and has all the basics covered (I really never felt the need for the fantasy/horror additions that exist), so you probably can't do much wrong if you try it out.

I think Savage Worlds is pretty cool - I enjoy the supervillain PbP I'm in and Deadlands Noir is pretty awesome too.

I almost forgot: If you want to try the system and have more money to spare than ten bucks, This incredible book contains all the rules, too.
Saw that at a used book store for about half that price. Should have picked it up.
