Male Human (Chelish) Cleric 4 AC: 17/10/17 HP: 30

The nobles are very social...... Umm ..... I swear it! We hide it as we would any secret power, yes. That's it.

Actually I think Castor has diplomacy.......

Without Calla, things just seem quieter. I mean when the opening of the conversation is to imply that Thesing is a horse.... lover.... it significantly lowers the chances of anyone else screwing up the conversation by comparison.

I do miss having the Rogue's skill point pool, but I think I should stay on the meat-shield route. Especially if we are going into the grinder.

Long term though, will be doing a lot of cloak and dagger type work, or hard fights?

Social skills? Let's see if the rebels have 10 times as many skil ranks in social skills as the nobles... 10 x 0=0. We actually have the same number.

For some reason though the cleric of Rovagug, inquisitor of Malani, and the follower of Gorum never seem to do well in social situations. We leave it to the rat to do the socializing.

"Hey what can I say, chicks dig tails." Castor wanders off with the ingénue. Thesing and Delor stare in shocked frustration.

Male Human Barbarian 5

Do you think it's worth it to invest in some Combat Maneuver feats/rage powers?

I was thinking of starting in on: overbearing advance.

Female Elf Rogue 2/Wizard(Air Elementalist) 3 (HP 33/33; AC 14(18 w/Mage Armor), FF 14, T 18)

HP: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Level in Wizard, still only have level 2 spells, but this character is supposed to be an Arcane Trickster, so need 2 levels of wizard and 1 level of rogue before I can take the Prestige Class levels.

Rat, probably

Never seen anyone making very many overrun maneuvers so take this with a grain of salt.

If you want to get use from overrun I think Improved Overrun would be the place to start with feats. With it you do not provoke with overrun, get a +2 to your CMB/CMD when making/resisting overruns and most importantly the baddies can no longer choose to simply let you pass and avoid the issue.

As far as Rage powers Overbearing advance is not to bad. Especially when combined with Improved Overrun and Overbearing Onslaught.

But still how often do you see yourself overrunning folks?

Yeah Bloodless has great Diplomacy, but he's no longer intereste in talking to the Westcrown people, he's now only there to kill Tieflings and Native Outsiders. He no longer cares about their life and liberty, he thinks they are all scumbags and wouldn't blink if they all went to the rack.

Hence he doesn't really talk any more.

Besides, he likes Thesing. Ironically Thesing was nicer to him than the people he thought he was here to rescue.

It's now about coin and killing.

Whats the go with a slow alignment shift?

Ahem - Caldazar actually has twelve skill points in ostensibly social skills with maxed out Bluff, Diplo, Intimidate and Sense Motive. He's also invested two of his three feats in social related pursuits - Careful Speaker and Persuasive... he just doesn't get to use them very often.

Typically what happens is this or this.

Hey poor old Bloodless had Dip maxed out like a champ, and even with a chain of great rolls STILL managed to get nowhere fast, even off supposed semi-allies, that's why he is starting to dislike them back.

I reckon Bloodless will make a great Heel over time; bitter, full of hate, and with a desire to shed as much blood as possible as he delivers the Fires of Heaven "It aint all lutes and fluffly clouds, Princess".

Started all Anakin, will end up all Darth.

Just finished running my game for the night. Tomorrow is my birthday and I'm spending time with my husband. Update for Asmodia is more likely to be Friday, but will be done before the weekend, I promise.

Head hurty... Freaking rogues worshipping norberger. Why when I tell players to read the players guide and that I want to like their characters do they utterly disregard my instructions and make something I want to smite on principle?

Supposed allies being the party? Cause I don't think the haloran league have been more belligerent to you than being somewhat cautious.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Druid (Urban) - 4

LeVash has social options, but thinks of himself as more an espionage person than a party face...in the ideal he's much more social when he's being someone other than LeVash.

That's likely going to have to change (and has...just a bit), but I'm not sure yet how it's going to evolve.

Male Orc Expert 5

By the by does anyone have a way to contact LeVash?

It occurs to m that LeVash would find it very hard to recieve an invitation if no one has an address for him. Pavo on the other hand...

I understand that the HAloran League has some means (which I do not believe we ever established) of contacting him but seeing as this is the mayor.

You know thinking about this and thinking about recent events I'm wondering if Bloodless hasn't already solved all his problems socially in one fell stroke of the whip. Before most of westcrown would believe him to be filthy tiefling scum unworthy to even lick the torble poop off their boot.

Now he's a movie star. Hard to prejudice against a man you were cheering the night before. And if they found out he was an aasimar? That would certainly be confusing but difficult perhaps. You'd certainly get a lot of attention from the Order of the Rack. The same sort Arael got at the start of the AP.

That's really up to you.

This AP is cloak and dagger friendly but not necessary for it. Combat Maneuvers as well are okay but not necessary since there are plenty of enemies that are at least humanoid shaped. The ons that aren;t are definitely memorable.

See now they only like him because he's famous.

That's only making him more jaded...

Its like he now has to go all George Clooney/Matt Damon about social issues. "I can save the world, because I'm an actor".

That said:
Shopping list-
Silversheen Greatsword (these ok?)
Leather Armour for Medium animal

Wolf Companion - Ripper

(Just read the players guide, was surprised to see that the Shelyn worshipping Druids can walk about merrily with their Dinosaur familiars... err)

That certainly makes for some fun dinner conversation doesnt it?

Being congratulated on your talent and skill despite your "condition".

Female Human Cleric/4

Asmodia should hang out with the torbles. I bet they can teach her social skills. Seeing as she couldn't even keep Thesing around and she's just a bitter, bitter woman because he left her. :P

...I hope she eventually realizes he's a womanizing a**$@~!.

Female Human Cleric/4

hehehe

she took the angry date rapey sex pretty easy. it was the being a sadistic piece of sh*t that delighted in the pain of others that bothered her. that's down right asmodean.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Druid (Urban) - 4

The League should have method, along the line of a dead drop, but otherwise any contact to LeVash would likely have to go through someone else.

LeVash makes sure to check in with the League daily in case they need him during downtime, however.

Female Human Cleric/4

Asmodia 4th level changes -

Stat point - Cha +1/15
Hp + uh... 7, officially, [5+(con)2]
+1 Fort, Will
+1 1st, 2nd level spell slot

Skills:

Profession (brewer) 1 rank, for 7
Spellcraft +1 rank for 7 total
Heal +1 rank for 10
Linguistics 1 rank, picking up infernal (language of the enemy) for 5

Favored Class bonus, human alternate
+1 to checks to penetrate spell resistance of evil outsiders

Edit: Oh yeah, gonna order some Chainmail and maybe a shield for my lady thing, too, so she's not so squishy. Can't fight for beans still, but won't have to be so squishy.

Now that I've thought about it, Bejis needs to stay in position to fulfill his roll as meat-shield.

Male Orc Expert 5

That being said there are soem rather powerful controllish barbarian builds.

Come and Get me builds that use things like Lunge, Pushing Assault and reach weapons knock people away from you so when they run up to you they can only take one attack (which triggers an AoO from you) things like that.

So perhaps Sunder or Bull Rush as a maneuver to specialize in?

Barbarians can take the lovely rage power Knockback. Combine with Improved Bull Rush and Bejis can really cut down in the number of full-attacks he has to eat.

My apologies Cal, you are definitely the face of the party with the appropriate skills. I will follow your lead in social areas next time unless I feel he need to smack something.

No problems Tal - much needs smacking, and you can tell that Caldazar doesn't mind getting a wee bit medieval when it's warranted :P

Female Human Cleric/4

I just got linked this. The Best Game Ever

I'm sorry if this is Asmodia for you Tark.

Male Orc Expert 5

The only real victims of Asmodia are npc's and her rep. Personally I find her downward spiral interesting so it'll be interesting to she how she claws back up. Unfortunately none of the other characters are the type that would reach out to her. Well maybe one of them. But I'm not saying who.

Well there are ones in the nobles group. But their fingers are greasy. Perhaps best not to let them touch you.

Female Human Cleric/4

Ha, actually, that whole thing pissed her off because they were all Sense Motive-y about not wanting her around.

Had Arael said "Asmodia, you're too chaotic to be in my club, but thanks anyway" she would have smiled and said, "okay, hold on to my money then, because I got this plan that I want you to help me with."

But being miserly and just mulling around the fact that they don't want her there is pure cowardice.

At least Bloodless stood up to her and while she's not his greatest fan at the moment, she can respect that.

Male Orc Expert 5

You mean the same man that challenged you to a duel to the death while simultaneously calling you out in front of people who would happily report you to the high level cleric sitting in the back munching on pastries and enjoying a bottle of wine.

Female Human Cleric/4

You say duel to the death, I say Owl's Wisdom, Hold Person and 40' land speed. :P

Then of course, Bloodless says 1d10+whatever, which will likely hit her 12 AC and bring her down half life while she gets those off, if she has them prepared.

Withdraw actions.

*ahem*

Yeah... I'm not afraid of the Asmodeans. If I survive till next level STRONG AURA OF CHAOS AND GOOD!! RARRRGH!!

TarkXT wrote:

My fingers are not greasy! I'll have you know grease irritates my claws so I am always careful to wash any fingers I find before storing them in my sack for later.

Female Human Cleric/4

Yeah, that quip in Celestial was the last of Asmodia's arguments with Bloodless concerning their... whatever the hell it was.

Oh yeah, medium armor requires being ordered special right? or was that just plate? If I go looking for chainmail, am I going to be able to find it in time for our next dungeon or should I be ordering that yesterday?

m Human Ftr 9 HP:110/110 AC*:33,23,30 Saves:10/8*/9* CMB: +19 CMD: 38 Init: +3 Perc: +14 Link to the spreadsheet

You know how painful this play is. I mean the waiting till act 2 so I can finally make my acting debut. Everyone will be better when Tal gets on stage. at least they will look better after his bumbling performance. He never signed on for acting he is a meat shield that is suppose to absorb the hits mot make people cry and laugh in the audience.

Who wrote that job description anyways? I think it explicitly talked about fighter front line types, not charismatic pansy bards.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Nothing's stopping you from snooping around backstage :P

Male Orc Expert 5

Except the massive armor check penalties and the small army of asmodean acolytes and backstage workers. :P

m Human Ftr 9 HP:110/110 AC*:33,23,30 Saves:10/8*/9* CMB: +19 CMD: 38 Init: +3 Perc: +14 Link to the spreadsheet

Already got caught once, didn't think it would wise to try again in under 5 minutes. To may be a front line tank but isn't that dumb. Close but not quite.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Wizard(Enhancement)/4

On the other hand, what are they going to do if you get caught, kick you out of the play? Kill you and find a last minute replacement? Torture you and record the screams for the play?

....yeah, maybe just snoop with your eyes. They can't stop you from looking. It's not like they can cast blindness...... uh.. yeah.. just go over your lines in your head.

;-p

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Or, you know... pucker up and practice for the love scene ;)

Female Elf Rogue 2/Wizard(Air Elementalist) 3 (HP 33/33; AC 14(18 w/Mage Armor), FF 14, T 18)

The goal of this play is "Kill 'em all and let god sort them out." The problem is I doubt you all will like the "god" they chose to do the sorting.

Rat, probably

Hmmm just noticed something. The rebels are 4th level we are third and TarkXT is fifth. I wonder what happens when the players start to outrank the GM?

Declares dodge on lightning bolt!

Male Gnome Sorcerer/9 - (HP: 49/49 - AC20;FF17;T18 - F+5;R+6;W+7 - Init+9 - Per+11)

Historically when you reach the same level as the DM, your campsite is attacked by a band of wights resulting in everyone having to gain 1-2 levels to catch up the the DM.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Druid (Urban) - 4

Hrm...I just noticed that I'm the last one left in the Rebels group of those who walked in to Vizio's

The nobles have lost 2 along the way. Not too bad as pbp's go I think.

Besides we can always trade you the monkey for Bloodless.

And think how depressed Asmodia would be if all her work was wasted when Bloodless left. She might be so depressed it would drive her to excessive drinking.
