I think that many/most FAWTLies have moved on to FB.
Lies, horrid lies!!!!
I should have posted this there yesterday, but didn't think about it. So if one of you have access to FB can post this there for me...
I'm looking for a little bit of advice...

I'm interested in visiting myself, and not just because I hear everything's bigger in Texas. ;-P

If you are ever in the area, definitely let me know. It would be great to get together. I promise to put away my Alton Brown cook books.

Oh no, by all means, leave them out. I hear his cookbooks make for great eating. I keep a vial of his fan's tears on me for just such an occasion to use for seasoning.

What, besides riding my Harley year round because it doesn't snow, having great food from the very wide variety of cultures in different parts of the city, being 'in the city' but still close to the country, having a good job and an affordable hose... I don't know.
What do you not like about Houston?

Burlington, Vermont for three months, and then back to the frozen wastes of Syracuse, New York.

He's good. We've been in touch over FB.

While I don't ride motorcycles, the no snow thing is a big plus for me! It will take me at least a decade to miss driving on snow an ice enough to seriously consider moving north. Sure, the 30 straight days of 100+ weather we just had (I'm not sure it was actually 30, but it was close!) kinda sucked...especially while moving all my worldly belongings...but I'll take that over a Michigan winter any time.
Employment is very nice too. :) And lots of Pathfinder games!

Hope it all works out for you, bro.

879 posts? I must pop in more often.
The naked stupidity of the political posts has made me fail my save, but let me know if anything relevant has happened.
BTW, HD says Hi and sends his best!
I hear ya. The only good thing is you get a new save every round. I'm done (for now )
I got sm email from HD as well. He seems in good spirits and is getting to play Pathfinder in the pen. He says he'll be out by Samhain, but don't look for him to post for a while after that. He'll need to blow off a little steam first

Is that where you're from?
One of my players just moved there and he says it's a pretty hopping place, full of hot, friendly, pot-smokin' hippie chicks.
If this is true, then I must say I feel no sympathy for you, only jealousy.

I have been making my saves on a regular basis and I honestly can say I don't miss the vitriol found there. I much prefer the forum games FAWTL and occasionally commenting on gaming questions as well as the sunnier and happier threads.
How is everyone on this fine morning? I am happy because my Patriots won last night and I am looking forward to gaming with my niece and newphew next Saturday.

Good on you making your Will saves my fellow Fecalvanian. I am good, and feeling most Tower of Iron Will today. No more politics. To paraphrase Murphy's Law #420: Never argue with a troll, people might not be able to tell the difference

Must try this place out It just recently opened and have heard good things. AZ this might be your kind of place, plus it serves burgers so LPM might enjoy it also.

I think I've gotten pretty good at not even reading those threads. It's the pointlessness that got to me. I don't see what posting in such a thread accomplishes.

Everyone, thanks for the advice yesterday. I think that it helped me get into a good (proper?) frame of mind. Just got back from a nice lunch with the EVP. Mostly just "shot the breeze". Talked a little about the differences between my places of employment -- I think that he wanted to know what they could do to make things better -- but only when I was asked. Nothing profound, just a nice lunch.

Glad it went well, even if not as eventful as you thought it might be.

What's the old saying about a fool and his money...?

I'm somewhat familiar with the quote -- I just have no idea what you are talking about.

In letting you walk away, the xvp is truly losing out with none but himself to blame.

A lot of truth to that. The thing I think I gained most from lunch was knowing that I'm better off not being there. They are not ready/willing to do the right thing to become a really good company at this time.

Okay I thought I was smart and I even looked up Fecalvanian but I am lost could not find it. Good quote on the Murphy's Law I like that alot. Beautiful day today I bet the bike ride was phenominal. You have any plans to go to the King Richard's Faire?
