I met the Author of Schindlers Ark (The book the movie is based on) Thomas Keneally . All of his books are wonderful powerful reads, Schindlers Ark being the most heart wrenching of them all.

He is a happy lovely little fellow with a twinkle in his eye. He kind of looks like Santa crossed with a garden gnome.

Latest Up-date on my brother:

My brother is out of ICU and the hospital. He has been placed in long term care. He finally opened his eyes Tuesday but was unresponsive. As the old saying goes, "the lights on,but no one's home." It extended nursing care until he can get a verbal response from him, or until dialysis can no longer sustain his health.

Now its a matter of maintaining his hygiene and eliminating bed sores. It's a waiting game until we, the family cross the next bridge.

I want to thank everyone for their well wishes and support.

Game on.

I'm sorry to hear this. I'm praying for your brother and you and your family. Thank you for keeping us updated.

I'm 2 hours away from my destination, but I had to stop because I was falling asleep at the wheel and my wife would kill me if I harmed our daughter.

Good night.

Flumph.

3 people marked this as a favorite.

On a lighter note -

A Police STOP at 2 AM
An elderly man is stopped by the police around 2 a.m. and is asked where he is going at this time of night.
The man replies, "I am on my way to a lecture about alcohol abuse and the effects it has on the human body, as well as smoking and staying out late."
The officer then asks, "Really? Who is giving that lecture at this time of night?"
The man replies,...

Spoiler:
"That would be my wife."

Well, Sanchez and Vladimir were surprised to learn their old nemesis, Dr. Zhivago, was not only alive and well, but running a thriving business selling homemade scratching posts to pet stores. Meanwhile, Amy and Mason, knowing the knowledge would devastate him, decided to keep their hidden love a secret from Amy's pet hamster. And, across town, the annual Sudoku Festival was interrupted by the unexpected arrival of....No, wait! That's my soap opera.

You need to write this into a script and sell it to a production studio.

Well, Scott and Sarah finally found a food that Charlie was willing to eat. Unfortunately, that food was an extremely expensive and rare form of hallucinogenic mushroom. Meanwhile, several rabid hockey fans met their match when they accidently started a fight with the local girl scout troop. And, across town, more bad weather on the way meant the town meteorologist once again had to hire a security detail to protect himself from....No, wait! That's my soap opera!

I THOUGHT that was Simon Pegg!!! Man, he looks different in real life(pics at least).

The house they are all in, however, must burn.

Also: After a very quiet election campaign, Norway holds its first election (for local assemblies only) since the summer's terrorist attacks today.

And it could be worse, it could be your landlord telling you you have to leave the state on short notice.
