Morning, all. What did I miss?
Well, George and Steven had a brilliant idea of how to get their fledgling yogurt company some free publicity, until Daphne balked at stripping down. Meanwhile, Russell and Kurt were thrilled to receive a call back from the investment firm about their plans to open a frozen beer stand. And, across town, Jeremy was astonished when Catherine proposed that they get na.....No, wait! That's my soap opera.

The sad: Gaming cancelled this week. We kept rescheduling but it never worked out. :(
The not sad: Went to see Cowboys and Aliens tonight. It was a fun movie. Well, except for the inconsiderate person sitting next to me. That I made it out of the theater without doing violence to her was a miracle of self-restraint. I can almost forgive the swishing her hair in my soda (eeeeew) but my ear is still ringing from the extremely loud scream during a particular scene. Seriously, it wasn't that scary. Also, anyone who is that much of a scaredy cat has no business going to movie that specifically states in the title that it contains aliens. Sigh.

Good morning folks. Hope all is well. I am not up for the 800-odd posts I have to read, so if anyone had anything specifically aimed at me, feel free to repost.

Good. Spent a good week catching up with non-Paizonian things. Although I missed being here. How are things to the north of Boston?
I have a question for the class: Does anyone else have problems defocusing threads? I can't seem to get rid of a few nasty ones. I hit the 0-slash and nothing happens. I still have them on my list. Any thoughts?

Greetings and salutations FAWLTies
Just reinstalled Blood Bowl (Fantasy American Footbal (goblins with chainsaws)) on my PC and having a lot of fun with it....
I have met some famous in Australia people but not world famous people. My old Karate instructor worked security with Dolph Lundgren when he was doing his Degree in Chemical Engineering in Sydney. They used to do bodyguard work for bands, and actors when they came to Australia.

Played Serpent's Skull last night. Before the game some of us met at the Flying Pig Saloon for dinner. No beer, since I'm on antibiotics, but still much fun was had by all. Didn't get home until 2;30 in the am. And had trouble sleeping because of the 6 Dr. Peppers I had consumed.
Tired zombie is tired.

I have this problem too. In my case they're really old ones with no activity on them, so it doesn't bug me, but yes, I've defocused about five times and they keep coming back. On the other hand, newer threads seem to drop off after a try or two no problem.

Yes. I've had the problem. So have a few other people. Started a thread about it right here.

Morning, all. What did I miss?
Well, Sam and Emily left Philly for a romantic getaway to the exciting city of Chatanooga! Meanwhile, Jake continued to deceive Nicole about the true nature of his illness, and just which of their pets he caught it from. And, across town, A sizable number of dogs began to.....No, wait! That's my soap opera.

Pretty much every other ‘celebrity’ I’ve been in close proximity to would be virtually unknown outside Australia. I have seen Hugo Weaving a few times at the local restaurant strip (dude is tall), and I saw Anthony Kiedis in a bar once. A friend of mine reckons he spoke to him (Anthony) later in the night and that they talked about ‘geeky stuff’. “You shoulda hung out with us Moth, he’s right into all that Dungeons and Dragons and s+$+,” my friend said to me later. I kind of take this with a grain of salt, as this guy is prone to exaggeration and he couldn’t really explain how he came to talk to him … but it’s a good story.

Thanks for the well-wishes in regards to my dad upthread FAWTLies. No new news, but he seemed in good spirits when I saw him on the weekend … and on the bright side, with all this time off work he has apparently been watching a lot of Buffy.
It always comes as a shock when you discover that your parents are not invincible. I hope that things get better for your dad. He also has excellent taste in TV shows.
Famous people - Simon Baker from the Mentalist went to my high school -he was three years ahead of me.

My only good ride in the elevator story was with Margaret Weis at GenCon in 2001. Although she did have a beer bong.

Some American dudes like Buffy as well. My favorite Willow was alternate universe Vampire Willow:

I mean, how do you top that? Relevant semi-NSFW linky
