So, wait, when I spend years drenching waffles in caramel and squishing them into a sandwich, it's "weird" but when a whole country of windmill and flower meadow enthusiasts do it, it's the Next Big Culinary Thing.

Poppycock, I say!

Not only are they thin caramel waffle sandwiches, they're perfectly sized so you can place them as a cover atop your cup of [HOT BEVERIDGE] and let the rising heat warm them up.

Been gone a while...Mostly cause s@*+, life and bad luck happens.
So I'm not really going to try to keep up with all that's happened around here as well it really seems a hassle for me in a period where my mental resources, health and mood isn't really in any kind of top form.

In stead of boring and bumming you out with the how's and why's of my current condition. I'm wanna say I'm sorry - especially to NH and family - That I can't be around here or meet and greet you guys'n'gals in Copenhagen.
I just can't, as I would feel more like a burden by trying to tag along while I'm hobbling around as badly as I am currently, not to get in to the exhausted, moody and depressed mindscape I'm in. If I'm going to show up to meet any FaWtLer's I want to be at least presentable, open and somewhat cheery (with the last part being particularly difficult as I'm likely to spout of fairly controversial, inappropriate or heterodox opinions or positions when discussing weighty or sensitive topics - ie politics, religion or social issues*).

Okay, so all summer traveling is finished; almost all visits to our house are finished; most all summer projects are either finished, cancelled, or otherwise negated.

Now I can fiiiiiiiiiiiiinally sleep.

Oh, wait, school starts back in a week and a half. :I

Dang it.

Clocking out. Good night, everyone.

Interesting how time changes culture. in 1987 and 1997, the Parisiens were complete jerks. In 1987, the Germans in Germany were friendly.

This trip, the Parisiens were warm and welcoming, and every German we’ve met has been a jerk. Must be the heat...

I went over to my friend Mick's house and knocked on the door. His wife answered. She told me that Mick was in the barn so I went around back to find him.

I opened the door to the barn and to my complete horror, Mick was pole dancing in a leotard on a combine harvester

Me: "What the hell are you doing??"

Mick: "Well, you know how my wife and I have been having marriage problems? We went to go see a counselor, and he said to put some spice back in the relationship that I had to do something sexy to a tractor."

Your fren mick is an idiot.

I think the US Navy should commission a new warship and name it the "R". That would make it the "USS R". Imagine the confusion that could cause on a Russian ship.

"Sir! The USS R is behind us!"
"Yes, comrade, but a strong Russia is still in our future."

In Infinity War, Tony Stark used the Mark 50 suit. Bruce Banner, however, used the Mark Ruffalo.

My son is mad at me. He was going to the pool with some friends, and I suggested that if he wanted to impress the girls he should put a potato in his trunks. Apparently I forgot to tell him to put it in the front of his trunks.

Why did the man put dogs in his lake as navigation markers? Because they're good buoys.

It may have been written somewhere. Or maybe someone just counted all the other suits he's used in the MCU and this was the 50th.

But yeah I think the (maybe?)official name for that suit was "The Bleeding edge"

I don't know about that but It will be the name of a random magic weapon in one of my games now.

"The Edge" was actually the name of my favorite sword from a 1st edition forgotten realms book. It was "the ultimate sharpness weapon." It ignored all armor because it cut through it like a hot knife thru butter. Plus the sharpness quality and for some reason it also deployed 3 little poisonous dancing daggers from its hilt for some unknown reason.

Make it a big-ass greatsword, covered with spikes and other nasty looking bits. Have the name "The Bleeding Edge" engraved in it with what looks like fresh blood. Give it the Merciful and Compassionate qualities.

Our vacation was well-timed. We’re all pretty much done for the trip. The heat wave isn’t helping, but honestly 80 F (27 C) isn’t that bad; if we weren’t all “tripped out” we’d probably be looking to do a bus tour or a couple of museums and parks and such.

Instead, today’ll be a late breakfast, a bit of exploring (but not a lot), back to the hotel to get dressed up. Dinner at Noma, and an early evening.

Tomorrow I doubt Impus Minor’ll leave the hotel room. And at this point of the trip, that’s totally OK.
