HaFiriel the Stumbled. A not-quite fallen celestial NPC.

He can get naked if you ask him nicely.

Now off for nap...

I like HaFiriel.

I *really* don't like it when people have a happy corgi on the plane.

Suuuper proud of myself.

At Monday's Democrats meeting, I finally stood up to pitch the gardening club that I've been planning for like a year. My baseline anxiety must have risen in the past couple of years, because I hadn't been that nervous in front of a crowd since my high school plays. But I pulled it off, got seven sign-ups for the club, and I even heard the visiting speaker from the state party affirm the importance of gardening while I was speaking!

Our first meeting will be next month, and I'm psyched!

Wohooo! Go TS!

I finally had an epiphany about big tourist cities.

Just like San Francisco, after just a couple of days in London, Edinburgh, or Paris, I’m ready to flee town. And I finally realized it’s the crowds, the noise, and the pollution. Here in Paris the city is beautiful, the people are (finally) welcoming... but the constant need to dodge other people, the inhalation of second-hand smoke, vaping, and diesel fumes, and the neverending battle to actually get anywhere just wears me down quickly.

If Paris were 20 degrees cooler and empty, I could spend a month here poking around. With the crowds, I’d practically rather go hungry than go out again.

But we have a boat tour on the Seine, and it will be beautiful, and so out I will go.

I can take you to another city then amsterdam :P

*I* would vastly prefer a bicycle tour of *your* lovely city. But GothBard, Shiro, and possibly one of the Impii would hate me forever for it...

...so Amsterdam it is!

EDIT: And naked bicycling is the best bicycling...

We could ditch them, I'm sure they will be fine, and Gothbard wont murderize you :P

Freehold, you MUST move to Amsterdam:
- College girls running amok, whooping it up: Check.
- Separate sidewalks, bike sidewalks, and roads: Check.
- Cooler than New York: Check.

Just got back from a fantastic dinner and get to meet up with Woran tomorrow!

Life is good...

In seriousness, it seems whatever's causing the forum to go wonky is making all actual forum pages fail to load and send you to the Paizo homepage. Individual threads load fine, but the boards themselves fail.

Well all those places beat the heck out of TN.

I can always tell if someone is lying just by looking at them.

I can also tell if they are standing or sitting.

Today my son asked me "Dad, what's a forklift?" I said "Food, usually."

Another European mystery: Why is the bathroom light always located outside of the bathroom?

My guess is so you don’t fumble around for it in the dark, but with more than one person in the room it means you always bathe them in light any time you get up to relieve yourself at night...

I don't know what to make of that.

Notes to ‘Merikuns:

- Paris is MUCH more tolerant of non-French speakers than it used to be, but that doesn’t mean the locals have learned English. Yes, the shop-keeps and waiters have enough English to figure out what you want, but the taxi and bus drivers? Nope! We were talking to some other ‘Merikuns who didn’t have ANY ability to speak French (not even at my pathetic level) and they’d been having issues.

- Belgium is similar; my attempted conversation (in French) with a custodian to figure out what we were doing was pathetic and side-splitting at the same time. But he was really eager to help, which was sweet.

- In Amsterdam at least, the Dutch take pride that they start learning English in Primary school, then much of the TV is imported shows in English that they don’t bother even subtitling, so there’s no excuse for not learning it. Even the homeless druggie who hit me up for cash last night heard me talking and switched to fluent English. Since none of us speak Dutch, it makes Amsterdam even MORE welcoming. Great city so far!

Hello, everyone!

Hey john.

Raining all night long, here. With several thunderstorms now and then. One of which hit me as I left the house to come to work. *Blegh*

In case of old building it might be the matter of old construction codes that required the electric installations to be kept away from water and its vapors.

Around here it is a an odd mix of places with light inside and outside of bathroom.

If I had my way with the wall I would NOT be rebuilding it with the same crap that collapsed.
