Many questions are raised when I show up naked.

Nope, the trailer's axle started to break and the tire nearly caught on fire.

Sooo,... ???

DANGEROUS death trap?!?
;)

Our truck is called the Death Trap, it's complicated.

Needless to say I prefer the Flintstones truck.

Edit: the trailer was towed.

LOL, I cant wait for those details! :)

(I find that most trucks are death traps, the danger directly related to the driver of said truck) ;)

My wife's family used to drag them on camping trips all over the US when she was a kid. One time they were in the mountains (Appalachians somewhere) and their trailer connection broke while traveling up. Her dad and grandpa were chasing said trailer back down the mountain trying to catch it before it fell over the edge. (Apparently they succeeded) ;P

*raises hand*

So...I have questions.

The trailer was towed. Like, normally? Or you put it on another trailer and hauled it out like a plague victim?

The latter.

Overheard conversation between the new high schoolers hired this week and the ones hired last month.

"Who's the guy with the hair?" "That's Yesterday, don't f&@% with him, he beat up a mini bobcat!" "I heard a wall fell on his leg and he barely noticed!" "I saw him close the Death Trap's end gate, by himself" "What!? Are you serious!!".

That's how you cultivate mystique.

Edit: I think Monday I'll show up wearing an eye patch.

Into the Atlanta airport 30 minutes early. Be still my throbbing forehead vein.

Screen in B concourse said my flight was leaving from D26. Get to D26 and it says Springfield MO. Find the main screen to confirm over at D34 - maybe the gate got changed, maybe I misread it. Oh. That screen ends on Newark. The next screen is blank. The screen after that starts on Pittsburgh. Fantastic. Start heading back to D26, and there happens to be an info screen. The section that says "Flight Information" is just flashing "Loading".

*Sigh*

Oh, there's an actual manned info desk. They confirmed D26 for me. Thank you.

Get back to D26. Still says Springfield MO.

10 minutes later they announce my flight has been moved to D34. Where I already stared at the broken screen.

*More Sigh*

My phone needs charging. They've got the benches with built in USB and power ports. Except for some reason it's not working. Oh. Of course. It's not plugged in. Oh. There's absolutely nothing to plug the benches into. 24 useless USB ports. 24 pointless power jacks.

If this airport isn't at least 1/3 of the infinite layers of the Abyss, then I'll eat CY's new hat.

Just finished packing the last bag and switched off the light. Leaving Oregon early tomorrow.
Stopping to see my cousins in Sacramento for a while in the afternoon, and then staying with the Ersatz Russian and his family tomorrow night.

I woke up after some three hours of sleep and two or three rather disturbing dreams.

One had an implication of... zombies? Infectious cult? Don't remember exactly. Then a dragon queen flew over blasting the sea with the lightning and then I was following her in some sort of flying vehicle hiding from her with some sort of electromagnetic camouflage. And then suddenly the vehicle was flooded with water and I was drowning.

Dreams like that are how you get some crazy encounter idea's for Game.

Disappointment. I bought Shadows: Awakening on GoG, and it crashes while starting a new game :/

Be sure to leave several toys for his daughter. He loves accumulating stuff, you know. Even more than I do.

We were joking with the taxi driver in Copenhagen about that: For almost the entire trip, every single city we went to was 27˚C with a light breeze and scudding clouds. Which was remarkable because of the massive heat waves before and after our visit. (And yeah, the day before we left, Copenhagen hit 32˚C, so our record wasn't perfect, but it was impressively consistent.)

But yeah, I have to be almost apologetic about our weather for the rest of the week, considering Europe's unbelievable heat wave: Roughly 24˚C today and tomorrow, then 21-25˚C for the rest of the week, all partly cloudy with a nice cool fog in the morning.

I'd send you some of the fog if I could.

We're expected to hit 86 today.

Today, we're going to the Atwood street festival (hippie music festival) so it should be fun.

Dude 1: Dude, did you see Yesterday? Dude's wearing an eye patch.
Dude 2: Whoa, dude, how did he hurt his eye?
Dude 1: Dude, that's just it though: he's not wearing it over an eye. At least, not the two in his face.
Dude 2: Dude, whoa.

Today, I took ALL (DE) on a canal boat ride for her birthday. It rained.

Then we went along to see what was what at the local Pride festival, where it rained.

Then we went to the pub, while it continued to rain.

Then we bought a controversial Chinese takeaway meal, in which we learned that never before in 20 years of businesz had the owner been asked for a side order of peas on their own. It was still raining at that point, and, as I type, it still is.

We've returned from the festival, it was a lot of fun. There was a crappy rockabilly band on one stage (there's always a crappy rockabilly band on one stage at these things) and then some forgettable hard rock band on the other stage.

I and my family could use some positive thoughts and prayers right now. I'll spoiler the details for anyone who doesn't want to know.

Spoiler:
I was woken up tonight by a phone call from my brother. One of his daughters had been in a car accident. She didn't make it. I have no other information right now, but could use some positive waves headed this way.

Thanks for listening.

gran, you and your brother are in prayer. I’m so sorry to hear that. My family lost my niece this past year, so I understand that sort of shock. I’m so sorry and praying for you and your family.
