And why would that come as such a surprise?
If anyone could Awaken a McRib and provoke it to Lustful Excesses merely by existing, it is Freehold.
If FawtlQuest ever becomes a popular Saturday morning cartoon, or semi-illegal Hentai manga, maybe it can be our equivalent of Snarf.
EDIT: Hentai yourself. And no, that isn't a tentacle.

Meanwhile, I was planning on taking my daughter to the cinema to see the Doctor Who Christmas Special on the 27th, because I thought seeing it together would be a fun mom/daughter date, but it turns out it will be the last night of Texas Grandma's visit. Which means I can go by myself, but I probably can't get away with taking Hermione. Which kinda ruins it.

Stand behind the wall and you get +10 per feet of thickness. And take into account the light sources/vision types used by the party may make spotting them in the darkness (if there is darkness in the ruins) outright impossible. The kinds of things that make you sigh and shake your head at what AP writers must be smoking.
AP Writer wrote:As the PCs travel through this area, the morlocks watch them stealthily from the ruins. The morlocks’ high Stealth skill makes them difficult to detect...So... this would be a reasonable statement in Book 1 of an AP.
This is Book 5. The party is 13th level. Those wily morlocks with their +12 to Stealth in caverns are running around with a Stealth of all of 22.
Even the barbarian sees them just by taking 10. And even if I were generous enough to say that every last one of them is somehow taking 20 to get themselves to a 32, the party ranger still sees them with ease.
They're not "difficult to detect"; they're almost impossible not to.
Yeah, yeah, the whole, "Pathfinder PCs can't actually see the sun" rules.
Trust me. I ruthlessly add to the DC as much as I can, and rangers still have no issues whatsoever spotting enemies. Just as an example, at 12th level Hooken is wandering around with a +24 Perception, so his "take 10" is 34. The entire area is described as low-light, so he can see the morlocks at 120'. Given their +2 to Perception, unless the party is actively making a lot of noise, the morlocks spot the party at... 120'.
But the point is that a +12 to Stealth for 13th-level PCs is really pretty silly. My life oracle in Skull & Shackles is the *only* PC in the party who doesn't have a double-digit Perception bonus...

Take Texas grandma with.
Or drop her off at Nobodyshome's place.
I'm pretty sure the imps could use a caring for the elderly badge of some sort.
I've heard legends of Texas grandma. If she were to show up at our house, she might never be seen again.
Lisamarlene probably wouldn't mind, but I think Whingy Wizard might object...
"No, no! You can't see it because you're not deep enough in the hole! Climb down a little bit more. Yeah, you'll need both hands. I'll hold your cane for you.."

What, you think I can't drive to San Francisco.
And just because you have family in Seattle doesn't mean you have to visit them every time you go up there.
If we do it there won't be any reason to be sorry.
With my mom's passing away last fall, my dad thinking about moving to Oregon to be closer to his siblings (and better treatment options for his Parkinson's disease) and the General's family intensifying their b#!!*!$+ our reasons for staying in Wisconsin are starting to dwindle.

Ah, THAT makes more sense.
Hi did the whole, "Crazy inheritor" thing when his mom passed -- he sold his house right out from under himself and now lives out of his 1974 Ford Fairmount...
...while now being financially comfortable enough to live the rest of his life that way while traveling the world whenever he feels like it.
Not a bad gig, if you don't mind sleeping in a station wagon over the winter months. (He has a standing invitation to use our studio whenever the weather is inclement enough (or he's sick enough) to need "real" shelter.)

So I had to Google culottes.
How are they different from regular panties? The images I saw just seemed to be plain old run-of-the-mill panties.
I'm actively avoiding looking this up, now, but... aren't they just... pants? Not panties? Just... just pants?
EDIT: Okay, my curiosity is overwhelming: WIKIPEDIA FOR SAFETY!
The term can refer to split skirts, historical men's breeches, or women's under-pants;
... so, looks like we were both correct?
Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhuh.
Having lived in a house with three women growing up (two sisters and my mother), lots of female friends, and my wife, all of whom has used the term "culottes," I've never heard of the underwear.
Weeeeiiiiirrrrrd.

Nobody moving to Sweden?
We've actually discussed it. It's very high on our list of countries to which to emigrate (along with Norway). But NobodysWife's aversion to cold and my near-incapability of learning new languages kind of precludes it. And my in-laws are all still under an hour from us, and would be distraught at a trans-continental move...

The first female incarnation of The Doctor, for whom I have been waiting since I was ten years old.
Doctor Who is produced by the BBC.
This week they released the first promo photos of the Doctor in costume.
And I finally figured out who will look adorable cosplaying in the outfit, culottes and all: little geek girls.

you'd think this was a deal breaker for Freehold, but I am well known in my circle of friends for the ungodly amount of heat my body produces. I have had people come up to me to give hugs only because they know how warm I almost always am unless I am feeling unwell or having an off day. So it's okay if Gothbard doesn't care for the cold- I will be there to warm her up.
