I think that one or two showed occasionally. We lost 8th Dwarf to cancer a few years ago, though he hadn't posted much in year prior to that.

Dammit Nobodyshome, STOP BEING SO F%%+ING HANDSOME!
YOU ARE MAKING ME WORRY FOR MY HETEROSEXUALITY
HOLY CARP, I JUST REALIZED THAT THIS WAS ACTUALLY NH.
Dude, you look great! Have you lost a lot of weight? It seems like it!

Also, channeling the comic-style Mighty Thor via Sabaton...
The first picture with the band is Joakim.
The second and third pictures in the yard are me.And no; I didn't lose weight. The mohawk and goatee are very thinning on the face, and even the "large" top is way too tight, so it's sucking me in like a heavy metal girdle.
No, Freehold is right.
A) you've visibly lost weight over the last four months.
B) Yes, the facial hair and the Mohawk are slimming. They're also kinda hot.
C) A + B + switching from chefwear to camo, + the overall more pleasant demeanor (yes, your personality has changed), and you've gone from Flanders to daaaang. Which I have not mentioned in front of Goth Bard because that's not the sort of thing one is supposed to say out loud about a friend's spouse.Edit: Which I am also not saying in front of Whingey Wizzard, because he's already jealous.
...
Tiem for Freehold to get to the gym...

miss that guy.
Cancer is a f%+#ing thief.

1) I don't debate it in front of family, 'cause family. But yeah: I have no real issue, either way, and it makes it kind of bemusing that some are terrified of a lack of free will or its presence.
2) HAH! No, you're right. It's not a copout. :D
1) I mean, I'll totall ramble to family incessantly, but, you know, I won't debate it.

Cancer is a f*$&ing thief.
It is absolutely a demon and I, for one, am ready to smite the ever loving everything out of it (and quite a few other diseases) with the paladin powers that I'm sure will be coming any day now.
But I hate cancer.

I think I'm supposed to blush prodigiously now.
But yeah, I've always looked good with a mohawk. Both NobodysWife and the kids want me to keep it.
I hate hate HATE the facial hair. I've never grown facial hair in my life, and it's just amazingly annoying. But again, EVERYONE says it looks good, so I'll keep it at least through November.
In terms of personality, it's mainly just seeing "the end in sight". Impus Major is maturing at an amazing rate, so his homework is far less of a drain on me. I'm in Book 6 of two of the 4 campaigns I'm running, and Book 5 in a third, so I can see a time where I'm not spending every free moment either helping Impus Major with homework or prepping for games. Heck, I'm even getting to watch some anime these days!
Plus NobodysWife is finally making a decent-enough salary that we're able to replace things instead of just keeping them until they fall apart and then doing without. That's a REALLY nice feeling. Though Amazon hates me forever for being an Amazon Prime member for it.
And don't forget I'm now 139 days alcohol-free. I doubt that it's a coincidence that you're seeing my "more pleasant demeanor" correspond almost exactly with my cessation in drinking.
The weight thing is weird though:
November, 2016: 190.2
December, 2016: 192.6
January, 2017: 193.6
February, 2017: 190.0
March, 2017: 193.0
April, 2017: 197.0
May, 2017: 193.2
June, 2017: 196.4
July, 2017: 199.2
August, 2017: 193.0
September, 2017: 194.2
October, 2017: 191.0
November, 2017: 193.0
I'm still doing my usual exercise (30 minutes of stretching and a brisk 2-mile walk a day), so any appearance of physical change is just confusing to me. But I'm not going to complain. :P

You can't use a Saw-Z-All for ONLY one project.
Give me a thermos of coffee and a Saw-Z-All and you wouldn't see me for days (though you could probably follow my trail of destruction).

When i first started working on the house, NobodysWife went to the "good" local hardware place (a few more miles than the closest, but MUCH better) and asked for a recommendation. The guy said, "This one should be enough for him to completely destroy your house in short order, assuming it has a wood frame."
So she bought it for me.

So you just HAD to make me go and look, didn't you?
Looks like I became a "regular" on April 18, 2015, with, amusingly enough, a comparison of myself to Orthos.
Small world!
But that's way up near the 118,000 mark. I'm a noob!
EDIT: How do you get the page number? I just see a row of page numbers at the top, with no indication which is mine? Is it the first one not shown? (2354?)

Page numbers are links - except the number of the currently viewed page, that is not a link. It should be in the middle (except when you are on one of pages that is near the beginning or the end, which obviously is not the case), and in black instead of links' blue. Might vary depending upon browser, though.

Oh yeah, I can absolutely see how it can be a very...charged issue.
Luckily though, my friends & family don't have any deep religious objection to determinism or anything -- some of them just find the idea that we are the result of a long and incredibly complex chain of cause-and-effect to be fundamentally uncomfortable.
People generally do like to think that we are the masters of our own fate.

To be clear, I do believe in moral responsibility, but we're neither omniscient nor able to shake off the myriads of other influences that we have flooding around us at all times. We can make decisions, but those are always going to be influenced. "Free" will as most people define it is merely well-concealed madness and chaos. Also stupid.
If I'm hanging off the edge of a cliff, and I'm offered a rope or a venomous snake I'm never going to take the snake.
If a dude that's a lot stronger than I am puts me in handcuffs, I'm never going to break out of those handcuffs just because I "want" it enough. That's not how either will or reality work.
So my mastery over my own fate doesn't seem so infinite, now.
If we are absolute in our ability to choose, that's nice. Moral agency is important beyond measure.
If we are ultimately controlled by forces beyond our ken... okay, well, it doesn't really matter, does it? Moral agency is the safer choice to presuppose under such a paradigm, as we don't know for sure (even if it seems logically sound).
So... no real reason to avoid moral agency from arguments.
And, ultimately, our lives have meaning, because they're our lives.
It's the same silliness when people worry about whether or not we're in a simulation.
The ultimate answer is, "It's really cool, and would explain a lot, but irrelevant to whether or not we should live our lives as if they are real, because, to us, they are."
Fun times.

My search-fu has you first mentioned by Sharoth on Page 3, helping you get your Joss Whedon fan club set up back in February of 2011. You responded shortly thereafter, on page 6. But you don't thank Sharoth for his efforts!
EDIT: MY first post was actually December 12, 2013, thanking you all for your discussion of a cannibal Disney musical, but I don't know that it counts, because I posted 18 times and then vanished until April of 2015.
I don't think anybody noticed...

I haven't seen any commercials for three years now.
i pay extra for commercial free and i no longer watch sports.
Even Youtube i either skip ad or scroll down and mute.

Goats are evil incarnate and trolls are disgustingly trendy in this area.
