GUESS WHAT CAME IN THE MAIL TODAY?!
YES IT DID
My only issue is that everything is glued together, even the ion cannon turret, which means I can't spin it around to win arguments as to why y wings are superior...
I am also glad to see tekkoshocon has a dedicated 18+ room!! Now I can watch h at any time of day or night!
H! H! H! H! H! H!
*Gets Dressed*
The cast metal keychain wouldn't have been any different. You'll just have to use your imagination. Besides, anyone who has seen the early Clone Wars (dealing with the Malevolence ) knows that the Y-Wing turrets rotate. And Tekko has always had 18+ programming. This is just the first year that it was always available. :)

*SIGH*
Well, I'm actually feeling better today, which isn't saying much, considering I spent the entire day yesterday in bed, but I'm at least sitting instead of lying, and feel like I can get a few things done (the budget and Impus Major's homework). On the other hand, I think even going out to a movie is beyond me, much less running a game. Ah, well, maybe I'll be well enough tomorrow to go participate in a game. Seems likely.
In other news, it is always disappointing when your family shows its mercenary, merciless side. As you know, I have tenants. I let them move in at 10% below market, and I've been raising their rent at roughly 4% per year, just above the 3.xxx% COLA adjustment for the area.
Unfortunately, my family just found out the repercussions of doing this for 10 years: Our tenants' $2700/month rent is roughly half the rent in surrounding houses, because Albany is stupid.
So my view on the house was that it was "free money" -- we already own it free-and-clear, property taxes are nearly nonexistent thanks to Prop 13, so it's just money in our pockets. Everyone in my family is financially well-off, so if we're not charging market rate so what? It's still free money.
Well, I've been ousted as property manager, and they're bringing in a pro to bring the rent back inline with surrounding houses. My tenants can expect 15-20% rent increases annually until they're forced out and a wealthier family can move in. Albany has no rent control, so they could just as easily increase the rent by 100% this year, so they feel they're being "merciful".
Having been on the receiving end of such "mercy" once before, it just plain sucks.
So I'm disappointed that my family is just one more group so obsessed with the bottom dollar that humanity goes by the wayside.
*SIGH* again.
damn.
I didn't know Albany was that bad.
Does your family know your tenants? Is there no way to appeal to their humanity?

She's also modeling her somewhat after Pam from Archer.
I might've mentioned how much I love my wife. :-)
Her background story "things went south, the whole chicken thing emerged"
if she's modeling her after Pam, isn't she going to have to use a dolphin?
Nevertheless, I approve.
Kinda hard to lug a dolphin around Nirmathis.
Also a spirit animal has to be a familiar.
All hail the Star Chicken!!
considering my legend of Zelda based history with the chicken, I do not worship the star chicken out of love, but fear.

And risk they will laugh hissingly at him, while tearing their fleshy masks away and reveal their reptilian features?

She is a native Arizonian, so it is dust-and-thirst themed. :/

As many of you already know, I volunteer for Tekko, Pittsburgh's premier anime convention. Here's some videos from this year's convention.

Since today's game was cancelled due to the GM's imminent demise, I made *all* the food for tomorrow and dyed my hair. Clearly Nobody did me a favor by getting sick. It means I actually get to sleep a little tonight instead of staying up until two a.m. doing things.
I'd say, "You're welcome!", but I'm not going through this little round-o-random pains again!
Got home Monday and thought my allergies were going nuts. Tuesday was an added headache. Wednesday added a sore throat just for fun. Thursday was, "Put 'em all together and send NobodysHome to bed!" Friday was more of the same.
Today was better! I got to sit up for a few hours instead of lying down.
And re: my family:
There are two types of people in the world:
- "Wow! Our house SHOULD be renting for $6000, but we're only charging $2700? Well, it's not like we really need the money, so we'll just keep raising the rent at a reasonable rate because the tenants are really good and it's the right thing to do."
- "Wow! Our house SHOULD be renting for $6000, but we're only charging $2700? That basically means we're GIVING the tenants almost $40,000 a year! No friendship is worth that much! We have to jack up the rent, NOW!"
And there's no convincing the Type IIs that charging a reduced rent is anything other than "giving away money", even though technically it's money they never had.

I considered answering to that with "I hadn't pleasure..." but that is basically asking for a quick quip of "No one had!"

Anybody else watching the new season of MST3K on Netflix? I've seen the first 3 episodes, and started the 4th, so far. I don't think I'm enjoying it as much as the old ones, but that could be because I'm remembering a few exceptional episodes (Manos, I'm looking at you) and looking at the rest through the lens of nostalgia. But it's still fun.

...is it the vernacular interpretation of the word "thirst"?

Yes, that sounds right.
Well, back to the drawing board with that alias.
Any other ones you want to poke holes in.
glares at everyone.
I'm kidding of course, my aliases by design are filled with more plotholes then Firefly, which is riddled with them.
those aren't plot holes, they are the fingerprints of whedon when he lifted the storylines from outlaw star.
