I know black bears can climb trees, but they're not as willing to attack anyways.

I found everyone (except Wolfthulhu, Jess, and Mr. Shiny, who had gone to bed). Justin left me a note, but I failed my Search check. I should have taken 20.

Yay! Get a good pic of all the Fawtlies together.

We're getting Volbeat in the state next month. Opeth and Katatonia the end of September and Enslaved and Ghost the beginning of October.

my cousin tries to convince me to go to Volbeat in oct.

are they good live?

I've yet to see them. A bunch of my friends saw their show in Chicago in May and swears by it. Which reminds me ... the tickets are on sale ... today! Eep!

This might help: In Amadeus, I think it was one of the pieces with the Vaudevillian magical horse. It was slow and lyrical, and the audience started joining in. Maybe a midget knight started it?
Is this it? Everyone is singing along.

That was just cruel. Hilarious, but cruel.

CH: With all the permutations I tried, why didn't I search "Amadeus"?! It's here, about 7:29. But is it from Marriage of Figaro? K#, anyone?

It begins, of course, with a parody of the finale to Don Giovanni (the real thing is at the beginning of your clip.)

Then the crowd all joins in singing the love duet (also from Don Giovanni) called "La ci darem la mano." (Link) (It's K527, although K numbers are rarely referenced for the operas.) A lot of Mozart's popular opera tunes became favorites of street singers, bars, and the like - this one in particular.

At the end, the sentimental tune they sing is the Act 4 finale to "Le Nozze di Figaro." (Link - starts around 3:15.) K492

I hope those are what you're looking for.

La ci darem la mano! Damn, I was hoping it would be from Le Nozze di Figaro, so I'd have an excuse and it wouldn't be my bad memory.

Thanks, CH.

What! It was on the Muppet Show, too? ;-p

Yeah we have our bi-weekly War of the Burning Sky game tonight.

Oh, and I jacked my ankle up playing soccer. Two, maybe three times the size it's supposed to be. Just trying to pass it off as ok long enough for the day to end so I can go home and ice it.

The Exchange

So just woke up from my nap. I had to take one after the funeral. The word fun should not be included in funeral, it should be eral and that is it.

RANT:

Ever go to a function like that?

Where while my kids are part of the family, it was my ex-wifes great grandmothers funeral, I am not part of the family. I met the lady about a hand full of times. She seemed nice.

So there I am showing up, in jeans, I have to work today, and if we have another tornado decide to poke its little head today I shiver in fear more easily in jeans. I feel like I will be way under dressed. Upon arrival, it seems quite different. Turns out I am over dressed. In fact I have to stop and make sure I did not show up at a red neck convention. The lady had 11 or 12 kids, I lost count. My kids seem to have a ton of great aunts and uncles and first and second cousins. Few of which seemed to have the sense that the good lord gave to a squirrel.

I had to wait outside. Further outside when my ex-wife stood up to speak.

The Exchange

I hope everyone has fun at Paizocon. I am very jealous of you all.

Or you can always do what's left ... TCV

Sharoth: Good question. Not lately.

Ex-wife's relatives being red-necks...must...NOT...comment...

Coffee: Strangely enough, brewing first pot now.

Hey, anybody want to move to Dallas in a condo the complex on the other side of the parking lot from mine? A former classmate of mine got a job and is selling his. Just think! Convenient gaming with Mairkurion!

Uh-oh. J11's name was misspelled in the front of Wayfinder 5, and was written as the Name Which One Must Never Call Her. Bracing for impact.

EDIT: And misspelled in the section where her illustration appeared.

Heck, I can't move my hips like that. I have always wondered if there was a hierarchy of hip shaking amongst gay men. If so, I am on the bottom of list, likely in straight man land.

She's fine. It was nothing really serious. She just had a gut infection and she's got a sensitive stomach so the symptoms are rather spectacular.

This is what I get for staying away for so long. That truly sucks. I hope she is doing better now.

Heh. I actually held back on some of my pain meds because I figure there will be much walking this weekend. Gonna need 'em.
At least for me, opiates seem to only be good in the short term. In the long term: headaches, dizziness, nausea. And the only thing they could treat was the nausea. Yay! Am I officially an old person now?

How unfortunate for you.

The other work of fellow Fawtlies is great as well. Everyone did a superb job. I just have a thing for the slender man. :D It could have just as easily been a tale of taig's thin men. Which is a good thing. I need to stop by the Wayfinder thread and congratulate Shadowborn as well.

But seriously, everyone did amazing work, whether it be art, fiction, or game development. There is a lot of useful stuff in this issue.

I do not want anyone to think because I do not mention them that their work slipped my notice. It did not and I took plenty of notes on my impressions. :D Which sounds weirder than it is meant to be.
