This is for Sun and Moon, the brand-new Generation 7, which will be released this November.
The only thing we know about it at all thus far is the three starters, the two legendaries near the end of the video (the sun lion and the moon hawk), and the name of the region and that it's heavily based on Hawaii.
Everything else is still up for speculation until the next release of info.

Oh that was years ago. Surgery, they said i needed, Stupid doctors.
edit: We lived in this s%%+ty apartment, right after we got married. Saving up to move to Seattle. anyway we had a faulty outlet under the night table, never used it. The night table had gotten... shifted... somehow... and in my sleep, stuck my finger in the socket. there was a bright flash, a pop sound, and a surge in my shoulder and the General yanking my arm away from the wall. My shoulder, which until that point couldn't lift anything above my head without tremendous effort and pain, has never felt better. fourteen years now.

Also, f&** anyone who doesn't think that Mass Effect 3 is a good game. It made me cry, cry, cry, laugh, fist pump, cry some more, and smile weakly. The gameplay was excellent, the endings were true to the themes to the story, and... and... THE ROMANCE WITH TRAYNOR WAS SO ADORABLE! OHMIGOOOOSH!

I've not played 3, so I can't comment one way or the other, except I'm glad you liked it. :)

Yeah, sorry. It's just I kinda get riled up when I see all the haters online.
The fun part about generally not swearing is that it has much, much more impact when I actually do it.
Where are you in the trilogy, out of curiosity?
I've played both 1 and 2, but never finished the latter, and am unlikely to do so soon for various reasons.

I have a theory as to why that worked:
Nerves are pretty much wires and thoughts and movement and such, even pain, are electrical impulses. When the heart is off rhythm, we electrocute it to restart it properly. Even people who suffer severe mental problems are treated with electroconvulsive therapy, or ECT, where you basically just zap someone until their brain stops suffering the negative effects and scientists still aren't 100% sure why it works, but more often than not, it does! (At least temporarily.) I worked at a mental institution where this therapy was so effective that other patients would request it after hearing the results some got. We've come a LONG way since the 70s and One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest.
Pretty much, you probably hit ctrl+alt+del on your nerves in your shoulder.

I think this still counts as a hypothesis. Until there is a measurable and demonstrably repeatable experiment, or a mountain of evidence that points to the expected catalyst or cause being the actual catalyst or cause, it doesn't quite hit theory-level. Otherwise, we'd have the theory of sugar-fueled children, instead of a hypothesis thereof.
(Incidentally, I've been thinking about the one linked study and found the sample size to be exceptionally small. Have other studies been done? I'd be really curious. Thanks in advance, if they have!)

Or the electricity activated Yesterday's sekrit slaadi regenerative abilities. This might also have triggered other slaadi qualities, like say, frequent avatar shapeshifting, creating numerous aliases, a constant freedom of non-sequential thought effect, or similar manifestations.

ME 3 was a wonderful, wonderful game, with one of the worst endings I've ever suffered through. I'd still recommend it to anyone with ears though. After having played the first two anyways.

Ah, the wonderful U.S. Health Care system! I don't want to debate it, and that's surely what would happen on any other thread. I just want to see whether our FaWtL friends in other countries have similar experiences. Anyway, here's my day so far:
The last person who even dared mention a time said our surgery was currently scheduled for 9:00 pm, but because it was non-life-threatening, would be bumped by anything deemed more urgent.
So basically it looks like from arrival to actually being treated is going to be around 12 hours, with another 8 hours of "observation" just because they don't like to release kids in the middle of the night.
How does that stack up with hospitals in other countries if you show up with similar injuries? Anyone?
EDIT: And yeah, I know, I know. I should totally play the "karma" thing on Impus Minor for pulling that really mean prank on Talky McTalktalk last night, but ALL surgery carries risk, so until he's woken up from the general anaesthesia, I'm not giving him any grief.

So - three weeks into my new group. The players are as psyched for each weekend more than the one before it.
I actually managed to find five people who enjoy tabletop enough on it's own, where it's not just a "yeah, I can come" activity. Seriously having a blast to have such enthusiasm. I feel like I can make it through the entire AP without actually burning out as GM. It's amazing how far you can go when nobody is questioning every rule call you make, arguing about "well my character would" as an excuse to be a toxic player, or causing long-winded off-topic tangents during the middle of the game.
But that was player six, and now we have a sweet five player and one GM group that is all excited, friendly with one another in and out of the game, heavy roleplayers, two brand newbies, two intermediate, and one expert who isn't a munchkin at all and a real team player.
Prayers really do get answered, sometimes.

Well, the thing that really drives me nuts is the whole U.S. paradigm of, "Never provide ANY information in case it might possibly be incorrect!"
I mean, seriously, which would you rather hear? "Right now it looks like we can do it at 9, but that might change at any time," or, "Sorry, I can''t tell you anything at all. May be today, may be tomorrow. But I'd hate to tell you something and be wrong."?
Is being wrong so terrible that it's better to keep me in suspense forever?

Well, that's the point. I'm not looking for a promise; I'm looking for, "Well, if our schedule doesn't change, and it usually does, then we're guessing somewhere around 9, but don't bet on it..."
And if that's enough for a lawsuit, we really do need to start paring down the lawyers...

We really need to start paring down the lawyers. It's enough to at least start one, and make the hospital have to pay for lawyers to prevent it going to court. They probably wouldn't lose, but they'd settle out.
