Naked bird-spotting?

Some day I am going to figure out how to make threads with infinite post counts not break the site. Then I will merge all the fawtly threads into one giant black hole of awesome.

Congratulations! Of course, with the advent of First Grade, you will have many tough questions to answer. Things like:

  • What do you want to be when you grow up?
  • What did you do on your summer vacation?
  • What did Dick and Jane do? (Shut your filthy minds!)
  • What is 3 + 4?

I know, it's quite a jump from the milk & cookies, nap times and macaroni art of your youth. But you are on a long and wonderful path now! Enjoy!

So far she wants to be a dancer..no wait a teacher..no wait an actress, no wait an..... yeaaaaahhhh.

For summer vacation she will spend time with her parents, grands, and the baby sitter :P
Do they still use the Dick and Jane books?
She knows 3+4 already...they really pack in teh education these days. She had more homework than I did. :P
In 1st Grade, Tasha wanted to be a singing cowgirl. Tati wanted to be a cowgirl and a "swimmer girl".
My firstborn, for the longest time, said that he wanted to be a Dinosaur Astronaut.

LOL! Diane liked this too!

Can you do that AND keep all the cool thread title names?

I'm sure SP would also disagree...maybe Treppa? ;P

If it makes you feel any better, I would rather jump off of buildings than get caught at Wimbledon. Well, actually, depending on the scenery, I might be caught at Wimbledon...but I wouldn't be watching tennis. And you won't catch me near golf course without a huge supply of good booze and good smokes. And I can't tolerate either on TV. That's just wrong.

Hey, let's have a race. Here's a dungeon map. Post a doc labeling and stocking it. One-two-three GO!!!

Hogan's Heroes. One of the best comedies ever. So was 'Allo 'Allo. Anybody saw it?
I will only say this once: yes.

This is one of my favorite scenes from the show -

Geering: The Colonel gave you a pill. Where is it?

Rene:I have the pill in the till.
Geering: Wheere is the vine for the General?
Rene: iT is here in this jug.
Geering: The pill contains a drug.
Rene: The pill in the till?
Geering: Take it and put it in there.
Rrene: Put the drug in the jug?
Gruber: (Comes in with the Gateau) We nearly forgot the most important thing.
Rene: (panic) Oh, my God! The Gateau from the Chateau!
Geering: What about the Gateau from the Chateau?
Rene: It contains a bomb!!!
Geering: A bomb in the Gateau from the Chateau???
Rene: It is to blow up the General! You must not let anyone light that fuse.
Geering: But where is the fuse?
Rene: It is the candle with the handle.
Geering: You do not need to kill the General, we have already arranged to kill the General... Do you not see? That if we kill him with the pill from the till by making with it the drug in the jug, you need not light the Candle with handle on the Gateau from the Chateau!
Rene: Simple plots are always the best.

By the way, there's been a ton of anime added to Netflix Instant Viewing. I've never heard of any of it, so if anyone has any recommendations with comments, I'd love to here them.

Now this is a clever way to get your maps labeled for you.

Arrgh my 6 year old just threw a tantrum about her school shoes - Mrs 8th Dwarf and Mini 8th Dwarf were yelling at each other lots of tears... it was escalating. Tiny 8th Dwarf gets upset when her sister gets upset and she starts crying big mess all round.

I hate to step in it doesn't seem fair when two adults are disciplining one kid. But nobody was giving ground and they were all late for school and I just missed my train. So I grabbed a toy told Mini 8D if she didnt calm down it was going on the shelf for a few days - instant response (that annoyed Mrs 8D because she just spent 10 mins reasoning/arguing) got Mini to apologize for her behavior and off they went now I have to wait another 15 mins for my next train (I live across the road from the station so its a 2 min walk.)

Kellen finally saved enough money to buy his own PS2! He picked it up Sun evening. Has been on cloud 9 ever since.

Anyone know where the phrase cloud nine originated?

He's never going to sleep again.
We take the controller away at bedtime. Though we have extended bedtime by an hour or so. As long as his behavior remains good at school and home he can stay up till 9pm.

Kellen is resourceful. He'll acquire a back-up and stash it like a porn magazine. :P
