Demons and devils, yes!
But I got my three year driving record out of it and I'm looking into doing cab work for a while. So here's to applications and interviews come Monday.

You also tend to forget that people aren't acclimated to peaceful, intelligent people-sized spiders outside of Galadae. One of these days the normal scream-and-flee response is going to be replaced by scream-and-squish, and you're going to look at me with that "well why didn't you protect me big sister" expression again.

Uh, sun, snow and 10 degree Celsius?
I once opened the door to a very nice young pair of Mormon boys in the buff and carrying a butcher knife and a dishtowel. They couldn't get away fast enough.
(What? It was a hot day, I didn't have air-conditioning in that apartment, and I was drying dishes. I just happened to have the knife in my hand when the doorbell rang.)
That's fawsome.

In other good news, my bonus is going to be double what I was expecting. That means I can make that trip to visit my mother AND put tires on my car. Huzzah!
Well this day just keeps getting better. I got a voicemail from the company I interviewed for and they are making an offer.
The offer is about $5k less than I was shooting for, so I may have to bone up on salary negotiation techniques, but in any event... awesome!
Woooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
rubs up against ch for luck
Lord knows I could use some....keeps rubbing ch
Where do you keep your luck? I'm still getting stuck with rotten eggs here! I'm gonna keep rubbing until I get lucky dammit!!
If you rub long enough, you'll definitely get lucky.

Pollen in Nevada reads 11.7 over 10. I guess its saturation suicide if I step outside and enjoy this wonderful weather.
Anyone care to place their bets of anaphylactic shock?
My allergies are kicking me in the teeth today. It is really my first day of them.
Meh.

I befriended an American Mormon missionary in Italy. The city I was living in was not a popular tourist spot, so there was not much English spoken. The other missionary he was traveling with was Italian, so he was just psyched to see another American. After we talked about where we were from, how long we had been there, etc. I think the conversation went something like this:
"So, can I tell you about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints?"
"Not going to happen."
"I just felt like I had to ask. Can we continue discussing other subjects? I miss English."
"Certainly."

You keep talking, but all I hear is "No, Roisin, you can't enjoy life. Being a wet blanket is character-building."

Nonsense. Life is meant to be enjoyed. Just not at others' expense. Now please stop terrorizing the cabbage merchant.
