Scarab Sages

MMmmmm....coffee.

Scarab Sages

Drinking coffee nekkid? Again? Why do I keep risking the burning?

Scarab Sages

Switching over to thoughts of gaming: I noticed in the Paizo Blog the mention of Green Ronin's Freeport Kickstarter. I've never given to one of those before, but I'm seriously considering this one. Although I would have loved to pledge at the $200 dollar level (which would have given me the opportunity to name a bar in Freeport), that option was limited to 10 people and has been filled. Definitely considering going with the $100 pledge, plus a bit extra for some of the promised serpent men minis.

Scarab Sages

Also, and I may have mentioned this before, our Forgotten Realms PF game uses an kind of alternate FR. Time of Troubles never happened, it's about 100 years later, and most of the powerful NPCs are dead. Pretty dark and grim.

The PCs are on their way to Waterdeep. We've talked about the state of the city and have pretty much determined it's ruled over by a number of mafia-style gangs and power groups.

An idea I had today was for each guy in the group to develop one power group that has a spot in the power structure. I've already thought of one for myself: The Crimson Ring. They'll be a Nine Hells aligned group, divided up into nine separate "rings", each with a different purpose/ranking in the group. For example, the 1st Ring will be peons involved in basic thug work/petty theft. The 7th Ring might be specialized Monk/Assassins who do contract killings/body guard work/opponent elimination. Each member will have a mystic tattoo consisting of a Red Ring with the runic number of their "ring" inside.

Scarab Sages

It's kind of like Welcome Back Kotter, but with more violence and/or BttH.

Scarab Sages

All right folks. Got stuff to do. I'll probably stop back in a bit later. Have a good one FAWTLY folk!

Decided to get back into the thread... only to find over 2000 new posts. Anything spectacularly important happen that I need to read up on?

If it was only 2000, I don't think so. Charlie was ill, he's getting/got better. Orthos is running a pbp.

Lots of people are still awesome.

And I'm still new, hello Sissyl. *Waves & hands out tea.*

Yay tea!!!

That's awesome of you!

Silver Crusade

Morning, all. What did I miss?

Silver Crusade

Is it time to go home yet?

No, I just got here...

Snowsnowsnowsnow. Why so much snow? It's half of March after all. Not to mention that it means I'll be cold getting to session tomorrow...

grumble grumble

It's finally all but melted here. Finally, I can drive without my fellow drivers seeing a speck of white on the road and abandoning control of their vehicles.

People here abandon control of their vehicles because they are morons.
They use rain or anything else as an excuse.

But they don't even need an excuse! ;P

grumblegrumble,.... more coffee,.... :(

Oh, that's certainly a thing, but the presence of winter weather exacerbates it.

Do you use the version of Hell from pre-3E (with Zariel, Moloch, and Geryon still active), the early-3E version (with Bel, the Hag Countess, and Levistus), the late-3.5 version (with Glasya daughter of Asmodeus replacing the Countess), or the PF version (with all-male Archdevils and the Whore Queens kind of off to the side)?

Good luck! I hear that most DMVs are staffed by fiends. Hopefully, you'll just get a quasit.

Pfff, why would a demon be at a government facility? That's clearly devil work.

It must suck to be a paladin having to renew your celestial mount license.

Weapon bond is looking more and more attractive by the hour.

Ugh, you have, like, noooooo idea. They get all miffed and junk if you, like, tell them to stand down in the name of justice, and they get all, like, "Go to the back of the line and, like, wait your turn," and I'm all "But I've been here, like, two hours, and that guy just jumped the line, and you guys are supposed to be lawful and..."

They go to the Celestial DMV, which is like a regular DMV, only the celestials are surlier and there's more paperwork.

I don't even know what I'd do with a mount. Waste of a good spring attack.

Demons like administering the driving tests.

"Now...turn left here."

"But I'll hit the fire hydrant!"

You look familiar. Did you contract out from Demogorgon And Dagon LLC about... oh... twenty-six earth-years ago for a project involving acid rain, mutant aardvarks, and a few thousand stone of animated tapioca?

That may have been a relative; we're known for the strong family resemblance. But I can check with my attorney if you'll give me some time to set up the lightning rods and dig him up.

Well, the lab's not exactly OSHA compliant, and we did just lose another henchman to a cloning incident, so sure, why the heck not!

OSHA and I don't get along. Something about slaad eggs being a "universal biohazard threat" or some nonsense.

I've been trying to get some experience in the sciences, yeeessss. Magic is useful, but after the third or fourth time your shambling dead simply collapse inert at the edge of the antimagic zone you start looking for alternative methods.

I haven't been able to find any jobs in my technical field in the Pacific Northwest but have applied for four this morning - one local and three within an hour's drive of my mom's house. Work would give me some chance to get back on my feet, even if it's not where we want to end up.
