Osric rushes forward to the front lines, ready to aid Wolf-Sark with his attack.
That done, the goblins come rushing forth, shortswords waving in the air, and screaming at the top of their lungs for the glory of their Beast God.
The shouts of the first two goblins don't last long, however, as the twin blades of Dresiro and Wolf-Sark cut the little beasts down like wheat before the scythe. Wolf-Sark finds that Osric's presence by his side is not as helpful as the other might have hoped, but the oracle needed no help anyway.
The third goblin, undaunted by the gruesome fate of his kin, charges at Dresiro, ready to avenge his fanatic brethren.
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
1d4 ⇒ 3
But, Dresiro nimbly evades the pitiful goblin's attack.
Fredrick's up next. Davi, if you want to post an action for Rurik now, that's okay too. Or, you could wait to see what the hobgoblins do. Either way.

Fredrick "Flash" Williams |
Fredrick will give a quick nod of his head to Dresiro as the man steps in front of him, taking the swing of the goblin. "My thanks."
He then 5ft steps up behind Wolf at 020, targeting the uninjured hobgoblin with a finger and sending forth a flash of bright light from his fingertip, calling out. "I should be able to slow this one down if you can take out the wounded foe first."
Using blinding ray. If I hit he is blinded for 1 round, unless he has more hit dice then my level, in which case he is dazzled.
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 Touch attack for ray
Blast.
Fredrick "Flash" Williams |
As I told the DM at the beginning, I am familiar with the first level of the dungeon already. Would you guys be interested in having me take over on running things for now? If the DM returns, then he can take back over, but otherwise we can keep things from dying off that way and I can try and find another player to take over my spot.
Fredrick "Flash" Williams |
I was trying to see if everyone was still around for this and then I got swamped at work this week so I didn't have much of a chance to pop on here. The world is settled back down to normal now though, so I am ready to pick things up again and will get things going over tomorrow morning once I can get myself caught up on this floor of the dungeon again. If things go smoothly, I may be able to get it going again tonight even.
It looks like we have heard from everyone but Rurik. Hopefully he is still around as well. I'll get up a post in the gamer connection thread to try and get someone to fill in for my slot as soon as possible.

Fredrick fires off a blast of light from his fingertip but it goes wide and strikes against one of the walls.
The two hobgoblins rush forward, one swinging at Osric but his attack goes far wide. The other swings towards Wolf-sark, his accuracy is good the man barely evades the blow.

Rurik, you are up and will be kicking things off for the players, then we are back at the top of the initiative.
My version of the combat map is below. I'll continue to expand this out as you explore to reveal the entirety of each floor of the dungeon as a single map as you explore. If anyone has any trouble seeing it or has suggestions, let me know.

With Rurik loading his crossbow, Dresiro brings his sword down hard into the goblin's shoulder, sending a spray of black blood against the wall and leaving it falling unconscious to the ground at his feet.
Tarlane |
Osric is parried easily by the hobgoblin and it snarls at him, growling is common. "Your blood will feed our altar."
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17 Attack 1
1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 Damage 1
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15 Attack 2
1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 Damage 2
Karth turns and fires into the hobgoblins with his bow, the first shot dropping the wounded one to the ground unconscious. The second is narrowly blocked by the other, though the defensive move leaves the creature open for Wolf-Sark who steps forward and cleaves its head from its shoulders in a single clean cut.
That will drop us back out of combat. Give me a short time and I'll have a gear list of what all the bodies had on them up.
Karth Tallstag |
Sorry guys I thought this game was dead.
Karth replaces his destroyed arrows from the dead's equipment. Shacking his head as they are not as good as the ones lost, but will do
"Should we strip and pile up this stuff now? Might be harder to do in a fight. We can bundle them up. It might not be gold or magical weapons but it'll sell and earn us a nice hot meal and a warm bed at lest.'

Fredrik "Flash" Williams |
Fredrik moves back to his customary rear guard position and makes sure his trusy steed Sparks is all ready to proceed.
"Well this has gotten off to a roaring start! Much more thrills to come I'm sure!", he announces to no one in particular.
Is Sparks in the dungeon? If not, please forgive the reference then.
Move to square V34
Tarlane |
Moving to the next room you find this one also abandoned now. Five more beds rest in this room, three are piled together and made of crude furs while the other two stand apart and are made of true bedding, even if it is now fouled from the previous occupants.
Several sacks of food stand in this room as well, but at least from what you can see without investigating more thoroughly these seem to be closer to edible than what you have seen before.
Tarlane |
Both swords are masterwork as far as usability goes, but will only sell for 25% value due to their deteriorated state unless someone with some skill as a smith gives them some care to restore them.
Checking the door for traps and then listening at it doesn't indicate anything amiss, so Rurik pulls the door open. Within is a wide rectangular room filled with more bedding, eight crude beds formed of crude straw mattresses. Much like in the other rooms these beds appear to be well slept in and have seen recent use.
Fredrik "Flash" Williams |
Flash peers over Ruriks shoulder, just to make sure some ambushing creature is not waiting to plunge his blade into Rurik's side.
Seeing nothing out of the ordinary, he turns to the rest of the group and says "It seems the criiters have taken leave of the premises or perhaps they have been evicted suddenly, ha ha!" looking at the strewn corpses around the area.
Continuing on "While this may not be prudent, perhaps we can search the area further. There may be hidden passageways which would allow us to bypass some hazards?"
