The satyrs are still reeling from the effects of the magical assaults, but the bear is in fighting trim, though in pain from Eglantine's acid. Redcoat rushes at Bren, but the fighter stands his ground. Not so the luckless satyr leader who is pushed back by the rush and dazed. Redcoat moves into the space opened up triggering OA from Bren

Bear made his save vs acid

Eglantine, Catriana, Yomi.
s1 is bloodied and dazed; s2 and s4 are bloodied.

Female human Rogue 5

Has Eglantine got line of sight on Redcoat or does she need to try and jump to the next building along?

Eglantine Prakseda wrote:

She's got a line on a piece of him, so no need to jump

Female human Rogue 5

Squinting slightly, Eglantine aims her dagger at Redcoat, still reluctant to hit the bear, but realising that he poses by far the biggest threat to her friends.

Glancing down, she also realises she needs to be closer to her comrades to remain effective and jumps across the gap to the next building.

Sly Flourish v Redcoat (1d20 10=25, 1d4 6=10)

Athletics check to jump to next building (1d20 8=21). Divided by 10, so she jumps 2 squares, putting her at H19

Male Human Wizard / 5

So, the bear pushed the satyr leader out of the way and dazed him for us? That's nice of him. Does Catriana get an OA on the bear's move also?

yes. No -- that was an error on the map

Eglantine's dagger draws blood and a roar of pain.

F Half Elf Bard 4

Catriana keeps singing while sending a concealed attack at Redcoat, making him sure it was Yomi who attacked him. She then tries to flank Redcoat by calling Bren to move towards its back. "Lets make room for others to fight", she adds. Looking at Cyrus's bloodied wounds, she adds an invigorating tune.

Virtue of Cunning to slide Bren to G17, shift to F17. Majestic Word on Cyrus - Heal for Surge+4, slide Cyrus to D18.
Misdirected Mark vs Redcoat; Damage (1d20+7=21, 1d8+5=12)
If this hits, Redcoat is Marked by Cyrus.

M Elf Ranger (beastmaster) 4

Meanwhile...

"I wonder if there is something regarding the pool to be found in the mill at all..." Elias ponders aloud, "Come along, let's find out."

At that, he makes for the door and tries it.

M Cat 4

"Growr..."

Male Human Fighter 5 (Great Weapon Fighter)

Bren makes an OA against Redcoat (no combat superiority bonus, my wisdom is too low.)

1d20+9=27

Damage:

1d12+5=11

Sovereign Court

M Human Expert 7

Bren and Catriana both hit. Yomi?

Priest's Shield vs S5 1d20+8=23, 2d4+6=11

My AC and CY's increase by 1 until my next turn.

Sovereign Court

M Human Expert 7

Elias:

Spoiler:
The door is locked.

The satyr leader loops around to attack Cyrus, but is too dazed by the bear's impact to take advantage. He then seems to shake it off, however.

The second also advances on Cyrus, sensing the most dangerous antagonist, and jabs at him with his spear. -5hp

s4 opts to take on Bren, hitting for -5hp.

s5, now bloodied by Yomi's attack, shifts to attack Cyrus, missing.

All satyrs bloodied. Cyrus, Bren

Cyrus:

Spoiler:
What hp are you at? My records seem a little off and it might matter soon.

Male Human Fighter 5 (Great Weapon Fighter)

Despite the satyr's painful attack, Bren presses on against Redcoat.

Standard Action Crushing Blow against Redcoat

Attack 1d20+9=24

Damage 3d12+5=22

I mark Redcoat.

F Half Elf Bard 4

Slide Cyrus to D19 by using Virtue of Cunning

Male Human Wizard / 5

For Pat:

Spoiler:
I have my hp at 32, 41-11-7+14-5=32, your calculation may be off because I was hit once or twice but the satyrs were still immobilized so the actions had to be taken back. I will also go back through to ensure it's accurate.

Also, I think I should be at D18 from Catriana sliding me there on her last turn. I don't think it matters too much since the 3 satyrs could still attack me there just as well.

F Half Elf Bard 4

As Cyrus was at D18, slide him to E19.

Male Human Wizard / 5
Catriana Windrunner wrote:

Catriana, I liked D19, that way I can hit all 3 satyrs with a spell and still high tail it away from them. I really appreciate the help.

Ok, D19 then.

Male Human Wizard / 5

"Dang satyrs are like bees, and I feel like I've been dipped in honey!" shouts Cyrus in frustration. "Time to end this never ending onslaught."

Cast Thunderwave on A17 to C19 catching s1, s2, and s5, then take off down the alley to E24

1d20+5=12 vs s1 Fort
1d20+5=11 vs s2 Fort
1d20+5=24 vs s5 Fort

Assuming I miss s1 and s2
1d6+5=6 thunder damage to s5 and push to A15
Sorry for the poor home rolling here folks, I've been doing better with Invisible Castle

"So much for that feeble attempt." Cyrus backpedals down the alley. "I'm not abandoning you Yomi, I just need to get some distance between myself and our enemies."

Sovereign Court

M Human Expert 7

Cyrus, what are you doing from D19?

Sovereign Court

M Human Expert 7

Cyrus's attack sends s5 falling backward, but Bren continues to have no luck connecting against the terrible roaring bear.

Bren, you have the option of redirecting that attack to s4, or losing it

The bear, seemingly aggravated, goes into a frenzy, whirling about with claws, bloodying both Bren and Catriana -19hp

Catriana, Eglantine, Yomi

F Half Elf Bard 4

Catriana, bleeding badly from the bear's attack, realizes she's made a mistake getting so close to it. Sending a magical attack against S4, she retreats.

Misdirected Mark vs S4, Shift to E18.
Misdirected Mark vs Ref. S5 (1d20+7=14, 1d8+5=12)

M Elf Ranger (beastmaster) 4

Elias tries to kick the door in.

I got 7. Tough door.

Female human Rogue 5

"Get away from him! Take them down one at a time," screams Eglantine from the roof as she hurls her dagger at S4.

Attack on S4 (1d20 10=26, 1d4 6=8)

Misdirected Mark vs Ref. S5 (1d20+7=14, 1d8+5=12)

Can't make that shift -- you can't move diagonally across a filled corner (like a building)

F Half Elf Bard 4

Shift to E17 then.

Sovereign Court

M Human Expert 7

Waiting on Bren to decide if he attacked s4, and Yomi's turn

Male Human Fighter 5 (Great Weapon Fighter)

I'll redirect the attack to S4. What effect is turning my attack away from Redcoat?

Sovereign Court

M Human Expert 7
Bren wrote:

The bear has an immediate interrupt of a terrifying roar. It attacks your Will and, if it succeeds, you can not complete the attack on it.

On the other hand, you kill s4, which leaves Eglantine needing to revise her action.

Female human Rogue 5

In the tragic absence of S4, Eglantine will move to F18 and drop her crit on S2 instead. She'll yell the same advice.

1d20+9=19, 1d8+5=7

Lance of Faith vs. S2; CW gains an additional +2 power bonus to attack on his turn; Move to D18.

Crit? What crit?

Crit? What crit?

The one she didn't make! Sorry - I rolled for Rin at the same time and he did score a crit. Just damaging then :D

Male Human Fighter 5 (Great Weapon Fighter)

The pesky effects of cross-dimensions bleeding into one another.

Female human Rogue 5
Bren wrote:

Don't even go there. I've had two different groups in two different combats with utterly different monsters all week, and it's been a major effort not to post "gnolls" when I mean "creepers" and vice versa. You've no idea how close my gnolls were to exploding darkly at 0hp or how hard it is not to make the creepers charge and pack attack :D

Sovereign Court

M Human Expert 7

Eglantine's dagger takes down s2. The remaining two satyrs, screaming bloody murder, converge on the nearest target -- Yomi. They jab with their spears, both hitting -13hp

Cyrus, Bren

Male Human Fighter 5 (Great Weapon Fighter)

Fear grips Bren's heart. This could very well be the end of him. But he will try to take this talking bear along with him into the Abyss.

Standard Action : Basic attack on Redcoat (1d20+9=13, 1d12+5=16) and mark as well

Male Human Wizard / 5

cast Thunderwave again,
1d20+5= 13 vs s1 Fort
1d20+5= 24 vs s5 Fort
for 1d6+5=10 thunder damage and push s5 to A16.

Sovereign Court

M Human Expert 7

s5 staggers back, howling in frustration. The bear attempts to push through his opponents, but both stand their ground. Redcoat roars and swipes a claw at Bren, but the fighter dodges.

Bear used AP, missed three times, did shift. <sigh>.
Catriana, Eglantine, Yomi

F Half Elf Bard 4

Catriana gets away from the bear and takes cover in a small alley, where it can't get. From there she sends a magical attack against the lead satyr, but misses badly.

Use Virtue of Cunning to shift myself to E18, Misdirected Mark on S1, move to E20
Misdirected Mark vs. S1; Damage (1d20+7=10, 1d8+5=10)

Female human Rogue 5

Eyes narrowing, Eglantine throws her trusty dagger at Satyr 1, hoping to reduce the number of enemies.

Sly Flourish at S1 (1d20 10=29, 1d4 6=9)

Sovereign Court

M Human Expert 7

Both satyrs are in bad shape, but still fighting mad.

Yomi

1d20+11=30, 2d4+6=11

"Embrace death, satyr!"

Sovereign Court

M Human Expert 7

The satyr complies with Yomi's command.

The remaining satyr, in a rage, charges the cleric. -6hp

Cyrus, Bren

Male Human Fighter 5 (Great Weapon Fighter)

Move Action : shift to F17

Standard Action : basic attack (1d20+9=27 vs AC , damage 1d12+5=16)

Male Human Fighter 5 (Great Weapon Fighter)

Catriana, would it be possible for you to try your diplomacy skill with Redcoat once the last satyr dies? He wasn't behind this provocation, it seems.

F Half Elf Bard 4

Sure, I'll try.

Yomi will be meeting his goddess in short order if the remaining satyr is not finished.
