Elias and his cat advance on the gnome-like creature, even as he spends another bolt of lightning in Elias's general direction. The storm is worsening.
Regular round:
Eglantine
Elias
Cyrus
nr
Catriana
Bren
Yomi
Eglantine is up. Note that it is dark. The creature illuminates himself with his lightning, but of course it doesn't last long enough to target him. Elias is the only one who has had a clear view. Due to the weather, even a sunrod or equivalent will only provide low-light beyond 2 squares.
| Eglantine Prakseda |
Eglantine moves towards the intermittently visble being and shakes her head.
"I get grouchy if I can't see what I'm doing."
Her dagger lashes out instinctively.
"Sorry Elias, I'm not sure being polite is getting through to him."
Riposte Strike second go if first hits and this is needed (1d20+6=10, 1d4+4=5). ... which will hit nothing, so don't bother...

Elias and Scathach continue to advance, Elias lightly climbing onto the fallen log. Then, with a command from the elf, the two of them move in for the attack. Just as they are about to launch their coordinated attack, Scathach's front paw goes through a hole in the rotted wood, spoiling the plan.
Minor: Hunter's Quarry. Move. Attack: Enclose the Prey. Attack roll (incl. flank) 22

Cyrus's attack misses; the fey seems not even to have noticed it. "Oh, you saw our dear eladrin, did you?" The red creature laughs and lashes out with his claws at Elias and Scathach, scoring deep gouges in both. Even as he laughs maniacally, the area around him fills with pelting hail. He then vanishes. Elias swings at the empty air, but to no avail.
Crit against Elias with claw: -15hp; hit against Scathach with claw: -11hp; hit against Scathach and Eglantine with hail -- they are considered in difficult terrain (save ends) Note that the log is already difficult terrain.

Sorry, just realized I forgot to update the initiative chart. Fortunately, I have permission to run Catriana.
Catriana advances cautiously, trying to detect your foe, but the driving rain makes it difficult. She is nonetheless prepared to attack when an opportunity presents itself.
Move, active perception, ready (I'll hope badslacker can specify the action before it comes up)
Bren
Yomi
Eglantine - in difficult terrain (se)
Elias / Scathach - bloodied, in difficult terrain (se)
Cyrus
nr - unknown
Catriana - readied attack

"All of you, listen! There is a woman here, possibly wounded!" he calls to his friends.
Bren runs towards Elias, trying to see the woman.
Move: run to G5, using the two extra squares from running to get into the one square of difficult terrain.

Yomi advances toward the melee and prepares to strike any visible opponen t.
Move and ready. Eglantine, yes.

Catriana - readied attack

Yomi - readied attack

Gesturing to Bren to hold still, Eglantine swarms over the log and lashes out at where she hopes the gnome may be. She strikes nothing but empty air. Her anger is so great that it seems to melt the pelting hail as it falls.
Deft Strike v Inviso gnome (1d20+7=10, 1d4+4=6, 2d8=14)
Used Deft Strike (allows a move of 2 before attack) to get to G7. Missed horribly.
Save v personal hailstorm (1d20=19)

Elias moves next to Scathach (and, incidentally, in the presumed direction of the invisible creature). With a word and a caress from his master, Scathach shakes off the worst of his wounds. Elias, meanwhile, prepares to attack. Scathach meanwhile, tries to shake off the hailstorm but again slips.
Move, Minor to spend his own surge on Scathach, Standard to ready attack. Run of bad luck for Scathach.
Meanwhile, the nain rouge (for so he is called) appears behind Eglantine and lashes out with his claws, hitting once and cackling -12hp to Eglantine
Readied attacks: Catriana, Yomi, Elias -- only promising 12 hours in this case for Catriana and Yomi, then will move Elias
Scathach is still in difficult terrain

Sorry for the delay -- not feeling well in the evenings lately
Even as the nain rouge reappears, it is beset by attacks. Catriana's surge of force misses, however, as does Yomi's sacred flame.
As far as I can see, Elias has no attacks (without changing weapons) that can get to the gnome. Scathach already failed the save (which I should not have rolled until now).

If I don't post now, I won't be able to for a while, so I'll do so before Cyrus. Sorry.
I'm assuming I am somewhere near the nain.
The axe-wielding warrior tries to catch a glimpse the phantom-like foe again. If he sees the creature, he moves and swings.
Minor: Perception
1d20+1=11
Move: next to Nain (up to 5 squares)
Standard: Reaping Strike
Attack 1d20+10=16 vs AC
Damage 1d12+5=9
Damage if I miss: 4

Sorry, haven't been well. Cyrus, I placed you as if you had delayed.
Cyrus, along with the others, attempts a spell against the gnome immediately after it reappears, but with no better luck. Bren does somewhat better, striking a glancing blow.
