Male Human (Taldan) Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager) 5

Perception: 1d20+7=25

Can Willy hear the fighting in the other room?

Female Human (Chelish) Commoner 1/Ranger 2

If Perception : 14 is good enough to hear the fighting:

"He's in trouble! C'mon!" Tenna rushed out of the room, forgetting the strange passageway Bogo had discovered and nocking an arrow on the run.

If not:

"I'll go get 'im." She walked out, heading towards the area Herve had been searching.

Willard Barnable wrote:

Yes both you and Tenna do hear the sound of combat from the other chamber

As Bogorin and Talden gaze at the secret door Bogorin has found Tenna and Willy checking on Herve realise they can hear the sounds of battle from the storeroom to the south.

Male Human (Taldan) Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager) 5

Willy runs into the other room to see what's going on.

Willard Barnable wrote:

You'll arrive after the next round ends so make an initiative check please same goes for Tenna if she follows Willy into the storeroom both Bogorin and Talden need to make a Perception check however

"What! Where the blasted saints do ye think yer goin'! Dale must be..." realizing he's now only talking to empty air, Bogorin swears profusely and takes off after the Tenna and Willy.

I'm assuming he'll eventually hear the sounds of battle so :Initiative 1d20=19

Female Human (Chelish) Commoner 1/Ranger 2

Initiative: 10

Male Half - Elf Warrior/Ranger* (1/2)

Seeing the others rush off after Herve Talden readies his ax and runs to catch up thinking to himself, "What, does this guy want to get himself killed?".

Initiative check (1d20+6=20)

Will still need a Perception check from both Bogorin and Talden to see if they hear the battle being waged before it ends!

Meanwhile the next round looks like thus;
Herve 19
Old Carter 18
Dwarf 18
Ghoul 9

Once the next round is over the initiative ranks will become thus;
Herve 19
Old Carter 18
Dwarf 18
Tenna 10
Ghoul 9
Willy ?

So Herve's up

Male Human (Taldan) Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager) 5

Amended accordingly so Herve's up first...

Well, Hopeless, Bogorin wasn't basing his actions on what he heard. He was basing them on the actions of his allies. I'm assuming that once he enters the room the battle is taking place in he'll be able to at least See it, even if he can't hear it! ;-) But as you are the great and mighty GM, I shall submit to your will = ) Perception1d20+3=6

What's actually happening is that you're still busy with the secret door you've found, Talden's alongside you so the pair of you have yet to realise both Tenna and Willy who were more concerned with the giant's chest have decided to check on Herve, it's more a case of when you notice rather than why you haven't one ghoul against that many opponents won't last long unless it gets nasty

Bogorin having traced the perimeter of the secret door is now looking for the opening mechanism something he thinks will be easy to find now that he has Talden helping him.

Just waiting on Talden's Perception roll

Hmmm, well, I could but all of that, except that Tenna yelled out "C'mon. he's in trouble!" before she rushed off. And as she was basically standing looking over Bogorin's shoulder when she said it, I was just kinda assuming he woulda heard that. But no worries. I'll abide by whatever you decide Hopeless, just wanted to put ma two cp in : )

Good enough I overlooked that bit so that means both you and Talden arrive shortly after Tenna and Willy

Male Taldan Aristocrat 4

While still fighting on the defensive , Herve seems to have taken the measure of his adversary
Att 20, Damage 5
He still has AC 23 against it

Herve Esterel wrote:

The ghoul curses back.

Spoiler:
What weapon is Herve wielding? Is it still the long spear?

Spoiler:
Nope his longsword rather

Female Human (Chelish) Commoner 1/Ranger 2

Herve gets to go again, I think, if that's the ghoul's turn.

Tenna Milcress wrote:

The ghoul leaps down to land on the ground before you as Herve sweeps in and catches it in the side with his longsword.

The dwarf tries to catch it with his spell again but this time misses smashing into the crates behind it as he tries to avoid hitting Herve.
The ghoul turns and swipes at Herve before moving towards the dwarf and Old Carter.

Dwarf rolled a 9 and even with his adds misses, Old Carter is unable to fight so the ghoul rolls a 10+5 for 15 with the sword he's wielding and misses Herve so back to the top but this time Willy and Tenna arrive with Bogorin and Talden arriving the round after

Male Taldan Aristocrat 4

While still fighting on the defensive , Herve strikes at exactly the same place as before hurting the ghoul yet more
Att 20, Damage 8
He still has AC 23 against it

Female Human (Chelish) Commoner 1/Ranger 2

Tenna skidded to halt at the sight of the ghoul. "Gods! What is that?!" she shouted as she let loose an arrow purely on frightened reflex.

Ranged Attack: 15
Damage: 3

Male Human (Taldan) Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager) 5

"I dunno, but its ugly and it stinks! Lookit Hervy go, he can fight!"

Willy takes a swipe with his axe.

Attack: 1d20+7=15
damage: 1d12+8=19

Caught by Herve's blow it slams back into the crates as Tenna fires her arrow at it.
It nimbly dodges as Willy rushes up and swings his axe only for the ghoul to duck under his blow and pulls back its swordarm to strike back at the lumberjack...
"I said b****r off!" the dwarf hollers as he swings his axe as another blur of force flashes past Willy and slams into the ghoul sending it tumbling backwards.

Dwarf rolled an 11+1 for 12 to hit with a touch attack doing 3pts of damage, its still up though!

The ghoul rolls back to its feet and launches itself forward missing Herve as he steps back to allow the others access to their undead foe.

Rolled a 6 and even with its adds it couldn't even hit the unarmoured dwarven scholar!

Back to top will amend initative order once Talden posts
Herve 19
Bogorin 19
Old Carter 18
Dwarf 18
Willy 14
Tenna 10
Ghoul 9

Male Half - Elf Warrior/Ranger* (1/2)

I posted further up the page that Talden fallowed Tenna and Willy out of the room. My initiative was 20.

Talden Skard wrote:

Sorry missed the post, so the initative order then is;

Talden 20
Herve 19
Bogorin 19
Old Carter 18
Dwarf 18
Willy 14
Tenna 10
Ghoul 9

Talden's up first

Sorry been reminded about the treasure thats been picked up

Talden & Tenna:

Spoiler:
Which of you picked up the set of Leonine Bracers that fell off the Dire Wolf?

Willy:

Spoiler:
Did you touch the Ogre's Javellin?

Female Human (Chelish) Commoner 1/Ranger 2

Hopeless:

Spoiler:
I have the bracer. I'll mention them to the group as soon as we have a moment. ;)

The sight of the unholy beast quickened Tenna's reflexes at the very least. "Kill it!!" She quickly let loose two arrows, one after the other.

Using Rapid Shot
1st Ranged Attack: 18
Damage: 5
2nd Ranged Attack: 6
Damage: 3

Male Human (Taldan) Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager) 5

hopeless:

Spoiler:
I didn't realize the ogre had a javelin. Willy searched the ogre and you said he didn't find anything. Was here a javelin?

Apologies Willy it was Herve who asked about keys on the ogre's body only to be told about the javellin so its still on the Ogre's body since Herve didn't pick it up or hasn't yet

The first shot bounces off its very shiny dwarven forged chainmail armour, the second doesn't even come close.

Tenna:

Spoiler:
Are you wearing the bracers or just stowing them in a sack or backpack? Oh and please remember your ogre bane arrow is still stuck in the ogre's body

Male Half - Elf Warrior/Ranger* (1/2)

Seeing the wretched creature in the room Talden charges the monster and makes a vicious swipe with is axe.

Charge attack against ghoul (AC=15 for the remainder of the round) (1d20+7=26, 1d8+2=4)

Male Human (Taldan) Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager) 5

Can we assume then that Willy grabbed the javelin?

Talden Skard wrote:

It screams with rage as your blow severs its left arm (unfortunately its wielding the sword in it right hand) staggering it recovers swiftly its eyes fixed upon the injured Old Carter with a spiteful sneer.

Herve's turn

Willy:

Spoiler:
Yes you can and given it shrinks so you can wield it, its definitely enchanted

I think we may be a little out of turn with Tenna & Willy's last go's but, as they say, battle's are chaotic ;-)

Seeing the Ghoul Bogorin's bushy eyebrows raise in surprise and revulsion and, without conscious thought, he raises his warhammer as a symbol to Torag and curses loudly in Dwarven
"Raugh-oric gar-Sargh-og!!" " Death to you you Disgusting Filth! at his words and gesture a blast of Holy Energy explodes from his hammer lighting the room brightly for a moment and causing his friends to feel a warm healing glow pass through them and the foul undead to screech horrendously.

The old Dwarf seems more surprised at his actions and their results than anybody...

And although the Ghoul didn't seem to notice Bogorin come into the room at all, it certainly notices him now.

Channel Energy=Allies healed 1d6 (1d6=6), undead damaged same amount and flee for 1d4 (1d4=1) rounds. DC11 Will for half dam and no flee.

It saved rolling a natural 20

It screams as its body glows as if set alight but the light fades and its eyes glow ever more furious!

Sorry for posting out of turn, I wasn't sure when I would be able to get back today and didn't want to hold everyone up.

Thats okay I didn't even notice until Bogorin mentioned it so we're waiting on Herve before the ghoul's turn

Don't forget to heal yourselves 6hp everyone! (and that would mean Old Carter too, right Hopeless? Cleric's are pretty darn cool in Pathfinder = )

Male Taldan Aristocrat 4

Herve miss ( att 8)

The ghoul leaps back atop the remaining crates and seems to stumble disappearing behind them and is now out of sight.

The Storeroom

Actions?

Male Human (Taldan) Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager) 5

"He's gettin' away!"

Willy grabs the ogre's javelin. When it shrinks in his hand he looks at it in wonder. "What da..." He then starts climbing over the crates in hot pursuit.

Climb check: 1d20+8=14

He has a bit of trouble with the javelin in his hand

It takes him a moment to clamber over the crates although most of them have been damaged in the battle raging in the room.

You do manage to climb up enough to see that behind them is a now wide open secret door leading out of sight.
Although you can't see the ghoul you swear you can hear running footsteps leading away from you...

Male Human (Taldan) Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager) 5

"I Hear you!" Willy bellows and hurls the javelin at where the footsteps are coming from:

Ranged attack: 1d20+3=14
Miss chance: 1d100=92

You reach back and then throw the javellin... which is the last thing any of you remember for quite a while....

Some time later and by that I mean your light sources have gone out and you are covered in dust and soot you find yourselves in the dark and feel covered in bruises.

"Okay..." a voice speaks out from the darkness,"Who threw that lightning bolt!" the dwarven voice asks...

Reactions please and what happened will be explained, once I've got your reaction to this post...

Ye went an' forgot ole Boggo en yer map! ;-)

Bogorin rushes up to where Carter lies and says with a mixture of surprise and anger (as if it were somehow the poor man's fault) "What de blazes be ye doin' 'ere Carter! We sent ye off ona wagon tae the town!" then, rounding on the strange dwarf and raising his warmmer in a mildly threatening manner he continues in Dwarven "'n who ye be?! If'n ye've harmed ma friend Carter it's a Rockstomper ye'll have tae be answern' tae. Speak quick now lad!"

Ooops! Ninja'd! Consider this being said before or just as our resident genius Willy thew the bolt. heh heh Love ya lad! No worries ;-) AFTER the Bolt...

Getting up as quickly as he can, Bogorinm using his Darkvision, quickly looks around to make sure all his friends are ok.

Bogorin Rockstomper wrote:

Yes sorry about that

Here's the updated map:
Lights out

"My name's Angus, met your friend here after a scuffle with a changeling on the trail, he was aboard some wagon being drawn by some horses real weird it was," Angus nods back.

And if that was before Willy threw the javellin...

Willy threw the javellin and a moment later an almighty blast shakes the entire complex sending all of you to the ground and putting out all of the lights...

"Okay who threw that lightning bolt?" Angus asks after a moment of confusion.

Male Human (Taldan) Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager) 5

Willy sets up and rubs his head. "Wha happen? Bogey, anybody? Can you hear me?"

Willard Barnable wrote:

"That javellin you threw must have been a javellin of lightning, where in Vudrani did you find it, its lucky you threw it down that passage but its now collapsed shut I doubt that ghoul escaped either but it does mean the only way out is back through the front entrance I assume?" a voice answers you.

"Oh right only your friend here can see in the dark, right?" the voice asks someone out of sight of you.

"So anyone have a light source?" the voice asks.

"You... should have three vials of holy water from Nagira, shake one of them they act as a light source if you can't light a torch or lantern," another voice interrupts this one although weak is easily recognisable as Old Carter.

Seeing all of his friends are fine and realizing that the newcomer was not responsible for the blast, Bogo backs down and answers Willy "Aye lad, I be here n' I kin see ye just fine, ugly as ye are. We'll git some light in 'ere real quick like, don't ye worry none. Seems that javalin o' yers was a right powerful weapon n' I ain't the sorts tae be leaving such behind, especially when it may mean an enemy gits tae use it. Uncoverin' it'd be a task fer another time though. We still gots ma Dale tae rescue."

Turning to the newcomer Bogorin says, in common this time "So, I ye've given me yer name but not what you be doing here following us around. And why 'n the blazes would ye bring a wounded n' poisoned man back intae a den o' danger!"
