Why thank you Acme. lynora-Jill, would you like some? You need lots of food to build up *energy*. (sly look) Wouldn't want you to get weakened...

Hey, I almost forgot. Gets up and heads to his room. Returns a few minutes later with a bouquet of fresh tropical flowers. Fresh dew is still on some. Happy Belated Valentine's Day.

I think I've given up on sleeping in my room ever again. It seems to have become its own greenhouse.
What a dichotomy. A greenhouse in the Clubhouse. At least we can play nice and bring fresh flowers to our enemies while they recover from whuppings.

Rowwrr!
To be honest I'm *URK-afraid* to sleep in my old room anymore. I think the plants would cover me up by the time I woke up. I even think I can hear the plants talking to me. It was a bit fun to hear them scream as I picked your bouquet though.
Just kiddin'!

Hmmm. That's odd. We both ended up being at the center of a lot of magical energies during the binding of the goddess. There's no way to know what sort of long term effects that might have. I'll try to do some research. You know, now that my memory isn't being constantly erased, she adds with a wry smile

My memory is still sketchy about her visit and the aftermath, but it works fine for the rest. *wink*
Maybe Panama has some Weed-be-Gone?...

*blush* Maybe we should ask the treant at the frog pond. I mean, who's gonna know more about plants than a tree, right?
*sly smile* Maybe after a 'nap'? *wink*| Jack Hammer |

After the late evening workout JH actually falls asleep. The first time in days. But the dreams return, fitful dreams, as they last were.
The voice of the ancient treant speaks to him, slowly but clearly. 'What is it you seek young one?'
Knowledge.
Knowledge is what started all of this.
I don't understand. What has happened to me?
I have protected you.
From what?
Knowledge.
The dream fades

The priestess smiled to herself as she watched JH sleep. He looked so peaceful. She absently traced the runes along his arm and frowned. For now whatever the goddess had done to him lay dormant. She could only hope that it stayed that way.
Her back began to tickle. She squirmed uncomfortably. It itched abominably just at the spot where -
OWWWWW! She bit her lip hard to keep from screaming. She stumbled away from the bed. She didn't want to wake him. Ow,ow,ow,ow,ow!
She crumpled to a heap on the ground, as her back became an inferno of pain. She remembered this pain. It had hurt like this when they cut off her wings.
| lynora-Jill |
Where had that sweet smell come from? Like flowers? She did not know, but it pushed back the pain enough for her to struggle to her feet. She gripped the bedpost for support as her wings continued their growth. She had cried when they cut them out of her, begged them to please stop. She hadn't understood what they were doing, why they were changing her. Now it seemed that she was changing back. Perhaps this is what had been meant to happen if the binding had gone right the first time, her suffering intended to be merely a temporary inconvenience. She liked to think that her mother would not have offered her as the vessel otherwise. Angels weren't supposed to be cruel, not even to their half-mortal offspring.
At last the pain stopped. Soft feathers brushed against her skin. Carefully, slowly, she flexed her wings. They were stiff and did not move easily. It had been so long since she had last flown. She caught a glimpse of herself in the glass, snowy white wings sprouting from her back. She wondered what the Jacks were going to think of this new transformation. That's when she realized that Jack Hammer was no longer here. She went out to look for him.

Mmmm...bacon. Bacon and Hungry Jack. I have died and gone to heaven.

Returning to the Clubhouse grounds JH launches the little froggy high into the sky and towards the Frog Pond. He should make a pretty big cannonball when he splashes down.
Gathering up two large plates of breakfast he heads to lynora-Jill's room to surprise her with breakfast. She isn't there. There are small signs of turmoil and large white feathers can be found scattered here and there. He knows this room was the source of the pain in his dream. His heart races. Dropping the plates of food he gathers a few of the feathers and heads out to look for her. Her abductors won't be happy when he finds them.
The runes on his arm waken, and begin to glow softly.
Malice?! Frat?! Has anyone seen lynora-Jill?!
