The hackles rising on the back of his neck, Gal growls softly and puts all of his senses (1d20+6=18) (+2 for sight and sound) on full alert as he glances all around him, making sure to frequently look behind himself as well. His massive great club rests on his shoulder, his grip tight. He is ready to use it at a moments notice.

Kelindra adjusts her holy symbol to Corean so that it is clearly visible outside of her tunic and chainmail. In her most authoritative voice, she says to the first woman who passes by, "Excuse me ma'am. May I have a moment of your time? My companions and I are interested in the near-by cave system. Is there a scout or explorer in this town? We are also interested in news of recent events."

"I'm rather busy ma'am," the woman says politely. "Must get ready for the festival tonight. The lord's have already tken the children up to the keep. Ye're best bet would be to ask in the inn or speak to the lord mayor," she says pointing out the two buildings
Kelindra thanks the woman as she hurries off. Then says to her companions, "Lord Mayor? Perhaps we should see what this festival is about. Any holidays coming up? None to Corean, I'm sure."

As the knowledge sinks in that this area contains no animals whatsoever, Gal's uneasiness increases. Becoming even more wary and on edge, he says quietly to his companions in his deep gravely voice "I do not like this place. There is something...unatural...going on here. There are no animals when there should be many. I do not know what is wrong...but something is."

As some of you may know already, as of the end of next week I will no longer have a job. Job hunting is going to eat up alot of my time for the forseeable future.
