Sorry again, everyone. It sounds like these last couple weeks have turned a bit chaotic for most of us. Work went a little nuts for me for a while, and my non-work life is looking to be(and has been) far too busy for the indefinite future.
But I suspect now that it seems like everything in the building has broken and finally gotten fixed again that we will have quite a while before it breaks again so I should be back to my regular, far too often, posting schedule. Hope we didn't lose too much of your attention with me lagging behind that way.

personally, I enjoy the email version, because it keeps the realism and does less bogging down the game itself with technical stuff - and its not like your character just poofs into the powers, that way it feel like they have gained them over time.

So far I've just been keeping a personal tally and I was planning on letting you all know when you are getting close to level so you would have time to prep the character for level 2 the next time you were going to have a little bit of downtime. There might be a little tweaking here and there with the new system, and I'm prone to giving non-combat XP for encounters that are role-played out rather then battled, so I figured that was the easiest way to do it, especially now that item creation and various spells don't take any XP.
If you would prefer to hold your own number, so you can see how close you are getting then I don't have a problem with that and I can do that too.

I am happy to hear theres RP awards for the RP side of things, as the PBP format really encourages RP over swinging a stick and leveling up.

Morning everyone,
I'm back and going to post now.
My weekend was pretty good, long but fun. As for the beta, I was hoping to update to it since it is also free as a pdf, so it doesn't require any cost commitment for anyone, but I just got my hands on my copy last night so I haven't really gotten to see any of the changes yet.
It doesn't look like anything massive has changed(especially not for first level characters), but I will put up anything I notice as I get a chance to read through it.
First thing I heard though, I believe now for your favored class you can choose either one skill point or one bonus hit-point per level, so for those of you who have a level in your favored class, you may drop a hit point in exchange for a skill point if you prefer.
Also, I haven't seen Jinn in quite a while. I know he mentioned being a bit slower and that we could control his character when need be, but I'm wondering if we may have lost him at this point. If you are still around, let us know jinn.

Anyway, I haven't heard from Jinn yet, so I am guessing that we have lost him. I was thinking to start fishing around for something of a replacement that could join up with the group when they got back to town. That sound ok for everyone?

I have no problem with that.
I have no issue with a Jinn replacement if he is gone. I would prefer he come back but if he's awol thats a bummer.

I agree, I enjoyed our group.
I just haven't heard from him and its starting to look that way. If he shows back up before we have found anyone else I have no problem with his return into play.
I more just mentioned it because I do want you to have a full team before moving into some of the rougher parts of the AP, and there is much more of a connection to group and the surroundings if you join in earlier.

Edit: Yikes! I wasn't able to access the map for a bit there, one reason why I didn't do anything, and I just got a good look at it. I'll be throwing an action in there as soon as I get something put together.

Hmm, I put up a post yesterday but it seems to have gotten eaten.
In any case, I hope everyone had a good weekend, and assuming you are in the US, a good holiday.
Don't know where Jereth has disappeared to, but hopefully he'll be back soon and all is well, if busy in his world. I'll give him til late this afternoon and then I'll put up a pose for him just so we can continue moving things along.

I just realized that it was Damia up next, rather then Dannie(shows how well I read my own posts). Damia's computer is AWOL at the moment which is why she has been so quiet recently. Dannie, if you want to start working on your post I'll drag Damia over to my place tonight to put up one herself, though I suspect it will involve rushing over to hit the other firepelt(it will still be up for your post, has enough HP that it will survive an attack).

Sorry guys, I was hoping to get Damia's post up for her on friday but I got swamped and actually have been moving this weekend which has kept me from hoping online to update it.
Now that I'm at the comp again, I'll get a hold of her as soon as she's free and update her on what has happened so she can get a post up. With luck, things will be back to normal on this end as of tonight.
And yeah, still no word from Jereth. I hope everything is alright, he was good to have in the game.

Boy do I feel sheepish. I am very sorry about my absence.
Unfortunately, work did grab me a lot harder than I had expected. The good news is that I'm getting paid good money, the bad news is that I've been so burnt out because of the amount of energy spent that I've lost track of everything for the past few weeks. I think I've got everything under control now, or at least into a more solid routine. I'd love to get back into the game if you'll still have me.

Hey, good to see you as well. For a while I thought it might just be the Captain and me. :)
Yeah, I'm glad to be alive, even if work is forcing me to be a grumpy parental sort. I hate being grumpy and authoritative towards teens.
Anyway, that's three of us. Now we just need to hear from wither Damia or Jinn, and Master Tarlane of course. :D
Moving on, though I think that was assumed :(
