Hey guys, I've always appreciated your work, but my group has barely started in on AoW, much less ST. I'll pick up the rest of the first Pathfinder AP individually, but seeing as 4E is coming out, I really don't see a need for even more 3.5 APs. When/if you guys switch over though, you can expect me back. So, could someone please cancel my Pathfinder subscription? That is, let me keep getting the ones I have coming (I think up to #4) but don't renew me after that? Thanks! :)

Could I put my voice in for cancelling? I love the product but I really think I will pick each issue up individually when I have the money. I know I still have some credit from my past Dungeon/Dragon subscriptions and if I could roll that into store credit I would appreciate it. I am not sure if that is possible at this point. I would rather use that money to buy something I can use now versus purchasing an AP I don't think I will get to for at least one to two years, if ever. And I would like to be able to still support Paizo in the process.
Like I said, it looks great and I am happy with the issue I have but it is not something I am in dire need of right now.
By the way, off topic praise...Planet Stories looks great and I will be picking up every release I have seen so far. Very cool stuff guys.

I sent an email to the customer service address asking to cancel my subscription but have no received a reply as of yet. I would also like my subscription canceled.
I've been looking all over My Account/My Subscriptions/Transitions and the FAQ. I'm a little surprised that there is no "cancel" button. All the options are for updating billing info/address.

alleynbard, French Wolf, BGlaze250,
Your subscriptions have been canceled.
Joshua,
Your subscription has also been canceled. We did receive your email, but our office hours are Monday through Friday 10am to 5pm Pacific Time. So the email you sent yesterday, on a Sunday, would not have been responded to until today regardless. However, this is the appropriate means by which to cancel your subscription, by email, messageboard or phone call.
Thanks,
cos

I figured that was the case. You guys are on the west cost right? I had forgotten that. When I posted, it must have only been 8 or 9 o'clock there, but well into the afternoon for me on the east coast.
Thanks again.

Please can you cancel my Pathfinder subscription too. The delays to the UK have tipped the balance.
I'd rather not keeping waiting for things like Dungeon and Dragon and now possibly Pathfinder. The stuff is great the delays have left me cold.
Regards and thanks for your attention

It is probably not my task to do so, but you are doing Paizo unjust:
Dragon and Dungeon magazine = old delivery by an intermediary in the U.K.Pathfinder and GameMastery Modules = direct post delivery from the states.
I subscribed to both PF and GMM: no problem so far.
Even the delivery options to send PF and GMM in a combined posting worked out fine.
So if your decision is purely based on delivery experiences with the last Dragon and Dungeon issues: Better rethink it.
Greetings,
Günther

Please cancel my subscription as well. Also, please don't send any of the Pathfinders I have coming due to the transition from Dragon & Dungeon. I do not want any more Pathfinders.
Also, how do I go about returning the one I have?
Please roll any issues of Pathfinder and any issues of Dungeon or Dragon left after the transition into store credit.
Thank you.

i have to second this. I've had no problems with getting stuff from Paizo direct. yes it takes time but i'd rather wait a bit longer and have cheaper shipping than pay more for speed!!

Your Pathfinder subscription has been canceled, and there will be no need for you to return the volume you have already received. Your remaining transition Pathfinder volumes have been converted to store credit.

The books are pretty fun reading by themselves, even if you never run them...I'm still wondering how Paizo can put together such a gorgeous product for the same price as Fortress of the Yuan-ti, which is b&w, light-weight paper, stapled, and not even as good (production value--the adventure is pretty good) as an $8 Dungeon...

I was a little surprised to find this email this morning:
Dear [Wampus],
Thank you for your continuing support of Pathfinder! In the next week or so, we're expecting to ship Pathfinder #2 -- Rise of the Runelords Chapter 2: "The Skinsaw Murders" (OGL) Print Edition, the next volume of your subscription. When it ships, we'll be charging a total of $17.79 to your credit card. When we charge your card, you'll be given access to a free PDF edition of the product, and we'll also send a confirmation email to let you know that it has shipped. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know. Thanks!
My subscription credit ran out with #1, if I'm not mistaken. Why would you assume I wanted issue 2? It says the order was placed yesterday. I certainly didn't place it. While I admire the production quality of PF, I have no interest in another AP, having just finished AoW. I'll continue my support of your fine company through GameMastery. Please cancel this sub.
Thanks!

If you look at your name it says "Charter subscriber" which means at some point you signed up for a month to month subscription to start when your credit ran out - which is also why you received the RotRL player's book for free with #1. This is why you received the email about #2. Just as an FYI

Yes, and I believe I said I would pick them up in my own time. I have the first issue. I enjoyed it. They do make for a good read and I would like to read them. Of course only if I have a magnifying glass and the proper lighting would that be comfortably possible.
My issue has nothing to do with the readabilty of the AP. I read constantly and adding a series of game books would probably not adversely affect my planned reading pile. Though I would argue the material in Pathfinder is slightly more difficult to casually peruse than a copy of Dungeon or Dragon.
I am in the midst of a pretty serious Ptolus game that I have mapped out explicitly. It is a mixture of my material and material provided for the setting by Malhavoc and third party licensees. I am also planning an upcoming C&C campaign. Since my gaming funds are limited it makes more sense to roll that old credit into something I can use right now.
Can I mine the Pathfinder material for adventure ideas? To a point, yes. Based on the scant preview material we have recieved for the upcoming issues I don't see anything I can reliably use in the near future. But I will peruse issues in my local store, just to make sure I am not losing out on anything good. In the end, I don't need another AP. Beyond that, I don't need another two, three, four, or five APs sitting on my bookshelves and collecting dust. Not when I can devote that money to something more beneficial in the long and short term. I am judicious in my rpg spending and I certainly don't *need* Pathfinder.
By the way, I don't intend to buy the Fortress of the Yuan-ti or anything else from WotC for a good long while so the comparision in quality means very little to me. I am sure what you say is absolutely dead on. It just has very little impact on my spending habits.

Yeah, well blah blah this sucks!!!
Hey I'm a troll.... that means I can reproduce myself. Where the hell did I put that axe!!!
Ya know the only way to feed a hungry mob of Kobolds, Troll guts, they respawn afterall... hmmm, new solution to Pathfinder 1... Feed a troll to the lil !@#$!@#$#! (Censored for your protection, TroJan Man)
As for the earlier sentiment, I am keeping my Pathfinder subscription thank you, it is following me to the desert and back agian. Keep making quality products Paizo crew, I will keep buying them. (Note in this posters Humble opinion, 4Ed is not quality).

I don't want to make it sound like Paizo is producing material I am not interested in. I have reams of item cards and will always buy more, the Gamemastery modules I have picked up provided me with some great ideas for my current game (Gallery of Evil seems even more promising), I have the critical hit cards and my players love them, and I have metric ass ton of other Gamemastery products. In addition, I just picked up the Anubis Murders and I am very excited about the Planet Stories line.
I appreciate Paizo as a company and I plan on supporting them whenever I can. Not only do I purchase their products but when I buy material from other companies online I try to get it here first.
I just can't devote the consistent $20+ each month to get Pathfinder when I can pick up other, much more useful material for my game. This is not say Pathfinder is not good just that it is not useful for me at this time. In fact, the prodcut is fantastic. I could be wrong and I will be looking at each installment of Pathfinder when it comes out and make my purchasing choice then.

Well I got an e-mail from Paizo saying 'there was a problem with my bank' I spoke to my bank and they suggested it may be because the card I was using was a debit card not a credit card. I switched my payment method to a different card and have sent Paizo 2 separate e-mails informing them that it should all be right to go and have received nothing, no reply, no product, nothing.
I had no end of problems with my dragon subscription (I still have not recieved the second last issue even though the final issue has arrived). I was assured repeatedly that there would be no problem with the Pathfinder subscription and that the new postage would make sure it arrived etc. I am not very impressed. The product Paizo puts out is excellent but it's pointless if you have to have a drag out fight to get it.
Paizo customer service, a reply would be nice.
Thank You

Andrew,
Customer Service is a bit backlogged; they're working on mail from Thursday (the day you sent your first response) now. We've reprocessed your card, and it went through this time. (The previous failure wasn't related to it being a debit card—we neither know nor care whether a card is debit or credit, so long as it has a Visa or MasterCard logo.) Your Pathfinder should be going out in a day or two.

I look at it this way:
I could buy a DVD each month for around $15. Maybe watch it once, put it on the shelf, and then who knows when I'll watch it again.
Or I could, for roughly the same price each month, get a printed copy as well as a PDF copy of the Pathfinder products.
These are used far more, as well as you make great memories with your friends. Who really remembers about the time you sat down and watched a DVD with some friends?
I'm happy to sign up and keep the subscription. But at the same time, I can understand those who choose to get out. There may be a time where I choose to cancel my subscription, but I don't see it happening soon.

This thread makes baby James Jacobs cry. ~_~
Oh gods, that breaks my heart in a way I cannot explain. I mean seriously, I felt overwhelming guilt in that moment. It doesn't change my current financial situation in any way but I really felt like I might cry for the little baby Jacobs.
Would it help if I said I might not be gone forever? The urban based path really interests me. Does that help?

Unfortunately, the single long arc focus of pathfinder doesn't work for my group, so please cancel my subscription and convert to store credit. If you ever switch back to shorter arcs/single scenario format, I will be back. Until then, I'll have to cherry pick the single scenarios.
It's too bad that you know who can't take your example of high production value on previous Dungeon magazines. RIP.

You should switch to a Game Mastery modules subscription. It's what you described above that you want. Just sayin'.

To all who are cancelling their subscriptions with the idea that you will buy the issues in the future. What I have found in the gaming world over the years is that there is a limited run of all gaming material and they become rare very quickly. I do not know how many issues Paizo has in the warehouse after sending out the first run or if they plan a reprint if they run out but look back at the old Dungeon and Dragon magazines and see how many are out of print and you can only get them from ebay or some other third party seller (usually at an inflated price).
So - my unsolicited advice to those who love the product but do not see using it for a time is reinstate your subscription or if shipping is an issue pick them up at the local game store but do not expect in a year or three when you get around to being able to play them they will be available.
I did not play for a couple of years and enjoy the work of Necromancer games. There are products from them I cannot even find a out the name of... Now that is not likely to happen with Pathfinder but availability may not be there when you decide it is time to buy.
Of course I am a collector of such things and have found that buying them new is much easier and less expensive than trying to find them when there are out of print.
To the Paizo crew - I am loving all the work you are doing on Pathfinder and the new modules. My group love Pathfinder and they are having more fun than they have in years with Burnt Offerings. We will probably start the Skinsaw Murders this Saturday.
Keep up the great work...

They have GameMastery Modules, wich are short adventures, might suit well for your group.

Recently, I have come to the conclusion that Pathfinder is really working out for me. I am keeping my subscription. Please keep sending me a new adventure each month.
I'll sign that, with a side of GameMastery modules, too. Awesome work, and inspirational as hell, even if I can never get players together for it.
Keep up the good work!
