I'm not sure you know, but I once wrote an extensive treatise on "Oerth Beyond the Flanaess," culling information from the later Gord and Sagard books. It's an imperfect analysis, but it ought to be pretty fun to read. Unfortunately, I've long lost the file and can't seem to turn it up with a Google search. It was posted to the old AOL Greyhawk folders and (if I'm remembering correctly) it's quite long.Might be worth tracking down for those interested, but I'm afraid I no longer have a copy.
This has been submitted to Canonfire! in pdf form, along with most of my other files from the AOL era. Anyone interested can look for it there -- I don't believe the admins have posted it yet, but should be soon.
Cheers
Nell.

Hi all-
Ok, doing some research, I found Erik's Bounds of Oerik post from the Old AOL boards. I did some playing around with it and have uploaded the TXT file to CanonFire.com. It's in the downloads section, under Apocrypha & Errata or get it here:
http://www.greyhawkonline.com/canonfire/GH_LOG_14_Bounds_of_Oerik.txt
(there appears to be a space between the I and K in Oerik on the message boards, but there is not one when I type it here, nor on the actual URL, so copy the url and paste, and remove any spaces)
I've combined Erik's introduction, the article itself as well as the questions and answers that he gives for them. It's a very nice article.
This is just one of the many that I've done. For Log 13, I've got a copy of the total log, as well as separated it out into it's basic topics. It's some work, so it'll be a bit before those are up. But I'll put up the individual logs soon.

The reason why I did just subscribe to Dungeon is because I became aware of the maps as of today! This is very good idea to remake those maps (I have the old one with hex), but an update is very welcome! I also find (from the online supplement) that much focus is on Greyhawk, that is just excellent!!
The things I hope for the maps are:
-NO HEXES please! The maps are already crowded enough!
-Roads: major and not-so major roads between town-city-metropolis
-Downloadable from online supplement so it can be used (small parts that I can customize) for my games
-Important location from publiashed module (from what I read above, it is already done - good).

I could finally locate issue #118 in a store nearby!
Wow! The map is awesome. Too bad it still got hexes, but at least they are white so not to visible.
I've got a question: Why the map is not #118 download enhancement? I think we all need the map in electronic format today so I wonder why it is not available? (at least to subscribers?)

Alright, this doesn't directly tie to the Greyhawk maps, but it's something that i've been wondering for quite some time, and that is: Where do i find a copy of Greyhawk castle adventure? For that matter, where do i find any information on adventures that are not printed in Dungeon or currently published? Maure Castle was a great help to my campaign, and a real character builder (for those that survive) but i wanna move my group west into Greyhawk.

WG7 Castle Greyhawk (a parody adventure by TSR) and WGR1 Greyhawk Ruins (TSR's serious take on the castle) are bot hout of print but may be available on ebay, and are definately available in .PDF form at svgames.

Both of the above modules came out after Ga.ry Gygax left TSR, so many don't consider them to be the "real Castle Greyhawk". However, Gygax is working on producing his version (renamed Castle Zagyg) with Troll Lords games. It's being written for the Castles & Crusades rules set and will be produced in volumes. The C&C rule books are coming out now, the first volume of Castle Zagyg will hopefully follow soon. For more details, check Troll Lord's website:

The scale is 30 miles per hex (if memory serves me right, as i do not have the issues with me at work).
Thanks! Just for my reference, where is that found? I searched the legend for the map inside the issue but didn't see it. I just want to make sure I'm not going crazy.

30 miles per hex is indeed correct. The scale can be found in the extreme lower left of the lower left quadrant of the map (that was the second quadrant to be printed, included with 119).

I'd even be willing to pay for a high resolution PDF, JPG, or PNG of these files. This way I can take it to get printed on vinyl so I could roll it up and bring it to the game table or hang it on a wall. Something similar to WotC's 32' x 20' map of Khorvaire http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/eb_map/Eberron_Map_32x20.jpg.
In fact, if Piazo offered an unfolded single poster of all four maps mailed in a tube (and maybe laminated), I'd pay for that, too!

Well, I just got issue # 120, earlier than I expected, as it seems like its only been a couple weeks since I received # 119.
At any rate, I'm loving this map. It's made me feel like a kid again -- as I've spread out the three pieces on the floor to look at all together, as I often did with the various maps from Forgotten Realms products back in the day. Very fun!
I've been waiting for these last two pieces to finally give a through read through to the web supplement Iuz the Evil that I downloaded many years ago. Unlike some, I love the From the Ashes era supplements, and though I've started on Iuz several times, I usually ended up trailing off because I didn't have a good enough map to reference, but no more. I have to say, I'm surprised at how much of the old Great Kingdom fits on this map, it goes clear up to the North Kingdom. I guess I just never realized how much the eastern half of the Flanaess was of a lower latitude than the western half.
At any rate, very cool map, keep up the great work!

Well after months of patience as I waited for both the maps to arrive and my basement gaming room to finish being 'built', I am quite pleased.
I took the four sections of both the Greyhawk and FR maps to Staples and had them laminated.
I then spent time lining up and overlapping the maps so as to use packing tape and make ONE HUGE MAP of both 'continents'.
I have now used 3M easy remove two way stickers to put the two maps up side by side on the 10' section of my gaming room, thus giving my groups the instant maps they (and I need) to see where they are in either Greyhawk or the Forgotten Realms.
Thanks a bunch Paizo for the maps.
Now if you would only make a map of the Ravenloft realms.............

>>>Place Cauldron, Sasserine, etc.
Can anyone tell me what issue the location of these places showed up in? I had thought it was 118, but now I am not so sure. My players are wanting a wider view of the world they live in and I am trying to comply with their wishes.
Thanks,
Neomorte

I believe they were in the lower left quadrant, which would be issue #119
