New Pathfinder Adventure Path now available!

Get ready to save the world or die trying with the latest Pathfinder Adventure Path volume!

The masterminds behind the rift that has plagued northern Avistan for over a hundred years are about to get their due with "City of Locusts", the final part in the Wrath of the Righteous Adventure Path! The demonic invasion has begun in earnest, and the clock is ticking for the heroes of the Fifth Mendevian Crusade. The Usher of the Apocalypse, the Demon Lord Deskari, is ready to finish what was started, and now moves to swallow all of northern Avistan into his home realm—unless he can be stopped. Even for 18th level characters with 9 mythic tiers, the task that lies before them will not be easy. The apocalypse has begun, and they must fight through the greatest and most powerful leaders that the Worldwound has produced in order to face down Deskari and end his threat. But to get to that lofty goal, they will also have to accomplish the impossible: seal the Worldwound before it's too late. With only a few details to help them and the weight of the world's fate on their shoulders, now is the time to step from merely heroic to truly legendary!

In addition to this no-holds-barred adventure, "City of Locusts" also contains the necessary details on facing the mightiest foes the Wrath of the Righteous Adventure Path has to offer, as well as a few of the mighty artifacts they wield, like Noriznigath and Riftcarver! We've also provided notes on what happens after "City of Locusts" concludes and the PCs deeds are spoken of across the Inner Sea and beyond. And if the unthinkable happens and the heroes fail in their quest to close the Worldwound and defeat the demonic hordes, we've also provided a glimpse of the horror that awaits (hint: it's not good). Learn about the cult of Deskari, their goals, servitor demons, and holidays, and read the final part of Robin D. Laws's short story, "Sweet Ichor." But no Pathfinder Adventure Path volume is complete without a new bevy of beasties to battle, and this one includes the Corpse Lotus! This corpse-consuming plant was made by Tyler Pomplon as part of the Baltimore Independent Game Seminar held last August, and in addition to that, you also get the katpaskir demon, the Abyssal constructs known as devastators, and the Demon Lord Deskari himself!

Don't miss out on the Pathfinder Battles: Wrath of the Righteous set, Item Cards, a guide to The Worldwound, and the Demon Hunters's Handbook—all material that will help you with your Wrath of the Righteous campaign! But the sands of Osirion call, and the Mummy's Mask Adventure Path begins next month with "The Half-Dead City!"

Not with a bang but a whimper.

Nice.

Does this mean we can expect a lot of TPK'S?

Areelu Vorlesh still looks like she cribbed her wardrobe from Seoni. I can't unsee it.

"...as well as a few of the mighty artifacts they wield, like Noriznigath and Riftcarver!"

Presumably the first is Deskari's and the second belongs to Areelu? The name 'Riftcarver' sounds like it's implying that it may have been involved with how she opened the Worldwound in the first place.

Here's hoping Vorlesh and Deskari can't just get rocket-tagged to death.

Maybe the writers read a lot of the criticism about Baphomet in the last segment being a pushover, and the bosses in the finale are getting a huge power boost.

Riftcarver is Deskari's scythe.

Given the lead-times involved in the gaming industry, I doubt they had the opportunity; issue #78 would’ve been printed and en route to Seattle long before #77 hit the shelves. I’d imagine it’ll be taken under advisement for the Big Bads of upcoming APs, though. ;)

Funny. I saw that dress and envisioned her sauntering along, swinging her hips, and singing "...the cold never bothered me anyway."

Yes, I am evil. Thank you. ;)

No, that'd be a Winter Witch from Irrisen.

Though I don't think Elsa has any interest in working for Baba Yaga.

It was an allusion to the skimpiness of the outfit and how she makes it work for her. :P

No, Riftcarver is Deskari's scythe. I'd guess Noriznigath is the Storm King's weapon.

SO I wonder if we have to fight an undead Terendelev? Maybe the Storm King is wearing her as armor??
