Is there going to be a version of this that just includes the assets and not the journals with the adventure content? I am very used to running from pdfs, and Paizo sells asset packs for the PFS2 seasons as an alternative to the deluxe version.
Also could you please feature a screenshot or gif of the dice?

The asset packs were an experiment we tried with our first Pathfinder and Starfinder Society seasons, when we weren't sure whether the community would be interested in the full-package treatment we'd been giving our Adventure Paths (especially since so many regular Organized Play GMs already have the PDFs). As it turned out, the deluxe versions were far more popular than the asset packs, so we currently don't have any plans to continue them for future seasons.

The playtest adventures are not free this time around, as you can see from their store pages. That is because they are designed like normal paizo adventures.

How does this work in foundry? I didn't think there was a sf2e module?
One of my pf players is gunna be outta town for next session and then I saw this on the blog ... it would be cool to run one of these while we're down a player, and we're all used to the pf2e system :)
There is an SF2 module already for the Field Tests, which is going to be updated tomorrow with the Playtest Rulebook, is my understanding.

![]() |

And later, when the game officially release, they will have a SF2e system that has a PF2e compatibility module, and PF2e will have a SF2e compatibility module, so thata the content of each otehr systems can be used on the other system,, if I remember correctly.

I'm getting this since it means I can run the adventures I want to run, and I'd be running them virtually anyway it's better to get this instead of both PDFs. Still, I'm left with a question...
Will this be updated to run off of the Starfinder 2E rule set if they end up being it's own separate rule sets instead of one merged rule set?

I was assuming this would follow the same line as pf2e where if we own the pdf, there would be a discounted version of the foundry module. Is this not the case?
This is basically teh discounted version, as it doesn't include the PDF. They just don't sell a version that also include the PDF.

I am guessing the product requires the new version of PF2 which releases today. I am seeing a similar issue with the new SF playtest module which you can install, but I can't enable yet. So, it should be good to go later today.

Zelduck |
The PF2E system update is out and installed, but still can't find the adventure pack package on foundry module search.
The issue seems to be the module itself not being published.
https://foundryvtt.com/packages/sf2e-playtest-deluxe-adventure-pack
This should go to the package page, but redirects to full package list.

After some time.. It appears I can install it with the manifest I obtained via self hosting.
That being said, There is another matter to clear up.
On this page it says "Note: This product contains only the Foundry module for the six Starfinder Second Edition Playtest adventures. It does not include any adventure PDFs, which can be purchased from the Starfinder Adventures and Starfinder Playtest Scenarios sections of the Paizo store."
On the foundry VTT page it says "Purchasing this product from the Paizo store will grant you an activation code which can be activated through your Foundry VTT account page at https://foundryvtt.com/me/purchases and access to the PDF version of the same content (both downloadable from your My Downloads page on paizo.com). Afterwards you will be able to install the "Starfinder Second Edition Deluxe Playtest Adventure Pack (Foundry VTT)" module on the Foundry Virtual Tabletop setup screen. To learn more about activating and installing premium content in Foundry Virtual Tabletop, visit https://foundryvtt.com/article/premium-content/ "
So given this obvious contradiction... only one of these can be true. I hope it is the latter as it often is when I purchase other FoundryVTT premium modules on paizo.com(except season 5 PFS and season 6 SFS).

Pretty sure the paizo page is correct. This doesn't include pdfs. The pricing reflects that as this looks more like the usual "discount" price, in spite of the "deluxe" naming.
The PDFs alone for cosmic birthday and the other adventure would push this up quite a bit. I'm quite happy with it.

Dae iconic pregen in foundry is missing his full ability scores loadout.
Should be 4/2/1/0/0/2. It's currently 1/1/-1/0/0/1. None of the boosts were selected.
I think that's technically part of the field test module (which I think was renamed to the playtest module), not this adventure pack, but figure here would be a relevant place for visibility.

what i am wondering is will the starfinder 2e official release be part of this perchance or will i need to buy that separate when it comes out
like am i doing early access or paying for a sneak peek
Like PF2e, the FULL SF2e rule system, Aliens stats, character options, everything "rule" will be free. This is just for the adventures.
And these adventures are used for the playtest, but they were written and designed as if they were "normal" adventures, so they won't change after the full release of Starfinder 2e

The statement on this page (PDFs are not included) is the correct one. Apologies for the misunderstanding; it looks like we accidentally included a line from a different product description in the page copy that went on the Foundry page.
We know a lot of people like the PDF bundle option (which is why we offer it with most of our adventure content), but given the large number of adventures included with this module, we figured it made more sense to offer them as a separate purchase. The price of the six PDFs alone comes to roughly $64, so if we'd opted to include them with the Foundry module, we would likely have had to at least double its price, which would have made it a lot less accessible.

Correct!

I've seem to have everything in working order now, even had one of my players get on and put in his character tonight, however some things of note are that the journal entries for me have a like translucent background which can make it very difficult to sometimes impossible to read the text.
the other thing is that I cant find the Themed dice anywhere in the DiceSoNice settings.

Nvm, I figured out the Dice issue, my Dice So Nice didn't ACTUALLY update when I did a full module update. Still having trouble with the journals though.

When updating via Foundry the package URL takes me here. When updating I usually check the git repository to see what has changed.
1) Is there a repository I can look at for the changes from 12.0.1 -> 12.2.0
2) If not, can you post that info in this forum?
Seconded, a changelog to see if I need to reimport any of the adventure content would be ideal!

Is anyone else having trouble importing the adventures within the module? Unless I deselect importing the journals, I get an error: "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading '0')". I'm not sure how to fix this? I'm running the most updated version of Foundry and have ensured I updated all of my modules before this.

As a general rule, we always recommend that you perform adventure imports into a freshly created world with only the required modules active, and then reactivate them to avoid potential conflicts (or at least identify which modules are causing them). You may want to disable any other active modules and try again.
Are there any steps necessary to get these dice other than enabling both modules?
There shouldn't be. You should be able to just open "Dice So Nice!" from your "Configure Game Settings" window, click the "3D Dice Settings" button, and then select "The Rollsmith - Starfinder" from the Dice Presets dropdown menu.

Thanks, the option was missing for some reason but reinstalling the module has helped, it's working great now

i am just wanted to know if the content from Second Contact was added to this or will be added
They're not in there yet, but the Second Contact creatures will be added to both this module and the Pathfinder Tokens: Monster Core module in a free future update.
