I've never heard of this?
We first announced it in our Remaster Blog:
"Will the new Pathfinder Second Edition Remaster books have Pocket Editions?Yes. Pocket editions of the new books will appear roughly three months following the hardcover releases."

Gotcha! Thanks!

more than likely to make more money as the hardcovers are more expensive, they want people to buy the more expensive version in order to make as much money as possible before releasing a cheaper version.

Eeh, the sales advantage is probably a factor, but doesn't seem a nefarious one to me. The people who were only going to buy a pocket edition still get to buy it; and the company's been completely transparent about this change, so customers can make their own decision about whether to buy the hardcover or wait. If other companies in the industry do the same with their versions (I'm not well traveled, but I'll trust Aaron's word) then normalizing to that convention seems fine.

As a merchandiser, the typical rotation for bestsellers is the Hardcover coming out first, than a trade paperback coming around 6 months later, depending on continuing sales, then if the sales of the book is slumping but is enough for consideration, the paperback version comes about a year later. Sometimes as soon as 6 months if they skip having the trade paperback.
Seeing the same titles come up again and again in different formats gets to me sometimes, seeing some books go through the process in an accelerated time scale, getting the hardcover and paperback within two months sometimes, but that gets a bit extreme with the release schedule.

:(
Do we have an idea on when the errata will be incorporated into any version of this? I know the obvious answer is "in subsequent print runs," but that is nebulously vague. I would buy a second copy, but only if it incapsulates those changes.

They only know the date of reprints when they sell out, as that's when they do those. So hard to answer until that book sells out.

I am kinda new the the Pathfinder community, Hi!
I was just gonna ask why is the pocket edition unavailable? My local tabletop game store doesn't carry it so I figured I would try to buy it directly.
Does this happen often and we just have to wait or is there some issue?
Thanks in advanced!
I haven't seen a specific reason, but usually it's because the particular item has sold out from the warehouse and reprints have not yet arrived. Since this is part of the remaster I'm sure there will be a new shipment in the near future, but sadly with the god of prophecy dead, hard to say when they'll arrive more specifically. (as to frequency, I haven't seen it before on this particular product, but it's a thing that occurs sometimes.) Welcome!

Thanks for taking the time to respond. These pocket editions seem really convenient to have at the table so I will just wait to get one.
