When the mysterious Gauntlight, an eerie landlocked lighthouse, glows with baleful light, the people of Otari know something terrible is beginning. The town's newest heroes must venture into the ruins around the lighthouse and delve the dungeon levels far beneath it to discover the evil the Gauntlight heralds. Hideous monsters, deadly traps, and mysterious ghosts all await the heroes who dare to enter the sprawling megadungeon called the Abomination Vaults!

Pathfinder Second Edition's most popular campaign yet bursts from the pages of this massive hardcover compilation, containing all three adventures in the fan-favorite Abomination Vaults Adventure Path, a dungeon-delving campaign like no other, along with support articles, rules, monsters, and more!

This deluxe special edition is bound in faux leather with metallic deboss cover elements and a bound-in ribbon bookmark.

Content Warning: While Abomination Vaults contains typical Pathfinder action and adventure, it also presents themes of suicide, ableism, body horror, and human experimentation. Before you begin, understand that player consent (including that of the Game Master) is vital to a safe and fun play experience for everyone. You should talk with your players before beginning the adventure and modify descriptions or scenarios as appropriate.

Note: This Abomination Vaults special edition hardcover is not included in the Pathfinder Adventure Path Subscription. Pathfinder Adventure Path Subscribers who preorder Pathfinder Adventure Path: Abomination Vaults will receive a free PDF when their physical copy ships.

ISBN-13: 978-1-64078-411-6

Nice. Didnt expect this.

I wonder if there will be new content, if there will be changes. And I wonder why Paizo decided to launch this product, especially so soon after the original release.

Judging by how often it sells out at the local game store I'm guessing their inventory is getting pretty low and this is probably easier and cheaper to print rather than doing another round of printing all three soft covers.

This is also an adventure path that is truly an evergreen AP since it connects very easily to the Beginner's Box.

I take it this is not part of any subscription. Will there be more?

To quote Aaron from the other collected Abomination Vault thread.

That depends on how each one sells. It is not a guarantee. ;)

Dark Archive

So is this just the 3 ap books collected together or will it be more like runelords or throne where bits have been reworked/ new things added?

My understanding is that this will be a straight reprint collection of the Adventure Path. There will not be any additional material. It’s the first time Paizo has done this.

I’ll find out whether or not it is a part of a subscription, but I don’t think so.

Now that I think about it, when Dead God‘s Hand is finally released, these will be too hardcover adventure options.

Grand Lodge

Oh. Well that’s an instant buy.

Dungeon adventure meant to tie into the long-delayed Absalom book, likewise delayed.

Got you, I'm guessing a one shot and not a full adventure path?

Not a one-shot. It is 128 pages and takes the PCs from 1st to 4th level. Product page here.

This is very interesting but isn't it a bit soon?

This gives groups that start with the Beginner's Box Adventure an immediate next purchase that'll take them halfway to the level cap. I think it makes really good sense.

This AP must have sold REALLY well.

I'm amazed this is on the schedule before any of them have sold out.

I'm really hoping this experiment goes well and we see regular compilations going forward.

Sovereign Court

Didn't someone above mention it has been sold out? Any way been considering running this and would be nice to have this hardcover.

Selling out (or nearly so) has historically been one of the factors that has led to a compilation of an AP but all three of these are still in stock at the moment.

(Of course, updating-to-a-new-edition has also been a "prerequisite" up until now, so clearly this is a departure from the norm!)

I agree about the hardcover preference. I have the first three and I'll be getting this too. :)

I do not see a pdf option for this product ;-)

It would be the same pdf as for the original AP, I would think.

I know this is hardly official, but this product's page at Amazon says, "Pathfinder Second Edition's most popular campaign yet ..."

As a returning Paizo/Pathfinder customer, having left at the conclusion of Second Darkness to commit to another system, it is the Abomination Vaults campaign that first caught my interest and brought me 'back into the fold.' I saw Ruins of Gauntlight on Amazon while browsing for other RPG fare, and it got me curious about the system. However, I initially tinkered with starting Age of Ashes, but it was a bit much for me as a newcomer to PF2. I switched gears and got the Beginner Box's, ran Menace Under Otari and then Troubles In Otari. It was a better entry path for new/returning gamers like my group and me. Abomination Vaults is the perfect next step for our circumstances and level of familiarity and experience with PF2.

It is anecdotal, but to say, the Abomination Vaults AP is PF2's "... most popular campaign yet ..." rings true with me. There is something about its title, tone, and measure of content that captured my attention.

The fact that it's Paizo's first PF 3-part campaign, meaning you can get into it with a much higher prospect of actually finishing it before Real Life blows your gaming group apart also helps.

I beg you; force the Roll20 dev team to release it on the same day this time around because it's an instant buy for me.

I’m wondering about the color of the cover. Is the picture correct and it’s going to be the same as the rule books? And if so, is that also true for the Kingmaker special edition as well? I had the impression from the Kingmaker project pictures that that cover was going to be green. Which would be great to have a different color for rule books, Lost Omens, and adventures.

Since Kingmaker was a crowdfunded project it may be approached differently than the regular special editions. Of course my special edition Curse of the Crimson Throne is red, so maybe all special editions will be red?

What about PDF for the Adventures subscription? As this is less of an adventure path in the hardcover release and more of a standalone now?

I'm not sure I understand your question. But if AP subscribers preorder this Special Edition hardcover they should be able to get a complimentary PDF.

The question was for people who subscribe to the Adventures(Modules) subcripton but not the Adventure Path subscription would get the PDF - since compiled in full it becomes a standalone module - as personally I'm only interested in complete adventure collections like this for Pathfinder, so a subscription to the AP line would be lost on me.

Ah, I think I understand now. Subscribers to the Pathfinder Adventure Path or Pathfinder Adventure lines who preorder the Pathfinder Adventure Path: Abomination Vaults Special Edition Hardcover or the Pathfinder Adventure Path: Abomination Vaults Hardcover will get a complimentary PDF.
