Hmm...interesting bit of lore here, looking forward too it.

I have a question about subscription shipping dates, since they still appear to be changing.

The pre-order date for Whispers of the Eclipse (book3) now says preorder expected late Sept 2021. Serpents in the Cradle (book 2) has a pdf availability date of Oct 13th.

My Subscription shipments page lists both AP 41 and AP 42 as shipping together. Should subscribers expect to receive both volumes of the AP in one shipment, and, if so, will they be delayed past the Oct 13th date to ensure AP 42 is included?

Just an update to say that this book is now scheduled to be released as a November subscription product, with a street date of November 10th.

Just got my subscription order confirmation! Thanks everyone for working through all of the external delays to get this out!

Glad this came out early...but the interactive maps can't be selected from the pdf? Any chance this could be corrected?

Is the spell Verdant Blast correct? 3d6 seems like a lot of damage for a cantrip.

I PM'd the author of that section for clarification. My players took one look at that and said "I wouldn't blame you if you banned that, but if you're not going to I am going to BLAST the CRAP out of this planet with leaves!"

Indeed that is an unfortunate typo! It should be 2nd level!

Did anyone else's copy come with a grindylow card in the pages?

So two things to note: Doesn't article saying that almost every elf knew someone who disappeared with golarion mean Gap was less than 750 years in pact worlds at least due to that being max elven livespan?

Second thing is that even pre gap elves don't sound CG in starfinder so I continue my AU theory ;D (yeah i know we need more mainstream CG elves in pathfinder as well)

Nah that is how long ago it ended, but Gap itself took place over unknown period of time that is implies to be possible thousands of years ^^;

And if "almost every elf" knew someone who disappeared with Golarion, the time would be a lot shorter.

Even if there was a typo there and they meant to say that almost every elf know OF someone who disappeared with Golarion (which would mean that the very oldest elves had pre-Gap memories), this statement would give away a lot about the Gap that I don't think the Paizo folks meant to reveal to us.

A Gap that began and ended within the lifespan of an elf could be dated to a relatively short period of time that could be calculated from those memories. The 317 Golarion year long year of Triaxus also provides a clue, as that planet is in its winter season in both Pathfinder and Starfinder. The memories of the oldest elves at the end of the Gap would be sufficient to determine whether the Gap lasted approximately 317 or 634 Golarion years. And unless pre-Gap records of Triaxus were wiped or altered, those records could be used to get a very accurate duration for the Gap.

Honestly the idea that most elves would have remembered someone from pre-Gap contradicts with previously established lore. I would have framed it as the majority of elves are still alive that remember the traumatic time of the post Gap years. I think this would have worked better.
