Question: the other spell decks have repeating spells for each traditions.
Will this deck have “1 card per spell”, or “1 card per spell per tradition”? The latter would be better to mix them with the other decks.

What about spell cards for the spells in the Lost Omens line books? We are going to end up with some missing spells if there is not a way to get those.

Hm. Pubs in the Adventure lines might also have new spells. Where else might we find them?

Agree with Elfteiroh too. I don't want to have to buy four copies of the APG Spell Deck, not to mention others, in order to ensure that my cards for each tradition are complete.

+1

Let me loudly support this.

If a spell occurs in multiple traditions, then I would like a separate card for each tradition, just as the original spell decks had.

I don't know what the backs are on these, but I'd really like to see you stick to the "iconic for that tradition" pattern as well. I was hoping because the CRB decks came in boxes with room for expansion, that that was your intention, but I really want to emphasize how important it is not to have just a single card per spell if the spell is on the spell list of more than one tradition.

There aren't nearly enough of those for a full deck yet. I can see a Lost Omens spell deck few years down the line.

I'll be honest, this seems a bit unlikely at this time.

Since the time I asked my question, we got more teases, and based on the number of spells revealed, the number of traditions they each have, and random comments done by paizo people, I have pretty much accepted It will most probably be one cards with list of traditions. With the best Focus spells approximations, APG would need to have no more than 30 new spells in it if there's one card per tradition, and I was told by someone working on the APG book the total (focus and normal spells) was pretty close to the advertised "150 references cards" in the product description.

Well heck. I use HeroLab Online for Character generation and the spell decks to build "Spell Books". I don't always know the source of the spell which is the primary reason for using cards to build decks. I just want to be able to sort the APG spells into the 5 boxes and be able to build a spell book to manage this.

I hope your source is wrong or this changes before production.

- my two cents

Now that APG has been released :D About 150 cards in the deck and 30-50 spells per tradition added feels like each Arcane/Divine/Occult/Primal spell will have its own card :D

I'm just wondering why these are part of the " Pathfinder Accessories Subscription" and not the other spell card decks.

I would imagine it was because the others came out as 5 sets (4 traditions and 1 focus) which would be a large burden on funds, while this is just the one box of cards.

Count again... there is exactly 151 new spells in the APG. So there won’t be doubles for spells with more than one Tradition.

You forgot that this deck also has the focus spells.

I think it was because the released 5 large decks at once and didn't want people to be burned with a big hit to the pocket all at once. Any one who subscribed before and pre ordered the cards got the pdf's too

All digital assets for cards we got are in JPG format. No PDF for them. :P

Hey folks,

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this spell deck is getting bumped back to December due to some shipping delays. Thanks for your understanding, and we'll keep you updated if there are any further changes.

Been watching, not sure if it was updated after our last think tank but now it says

"contains more than 150 spell reference cards, containing the spells from every tradition and all focus spells from the Advanced Player's Guide in one place, giving you immediate access to key game details without flipping pages."

Pretty sure this will mean we get a card for each tradition as well as the focus. Makes sense because that is how they are broken down in the original sets.

Did notice that it does not say that it will be in my digital assets even though I am a subscriber on the back end. Here's hoping we get the digital assets for being a subscriber, but they don't even have digital listed as an option yet either.

Hm. If my counting is accurate, there are on the tradition spell lists: Arcane: 38, Divine: 23, Occult: 42, Primal: 36, for a total of 129 spells. Plus 82 Focus spells makes it 221 spells.

Counting the individual spell descriptions, there are 63; plus 82 Focus spells is 145. Only one of these two numbers, 221, is "more than 150", so we should see 221. OTOH, I wonder why they didn't say "more than 200" spell cards. <shrug> We'll see.

It occurs to me that Paizo might do well to make a "print on demand" deal with Drivethrurpg or somebody to make any spells they publish for which they don't want to provide a bulk product like this one easily available.

I do keep coming back to see the digital option, still not available. I picked up the Accessories sub because of the Bestiary and Spell cards, specifically picking up the digital versions.

Can a power that be comment that these ARE a part of the subscription, but still do not have digital assets listed yet?

Thanks :D

Showing up in my subs list as will be in my downloads, one of the images above says we will have individual cards for each tradition, and the digital version is available Dec 9th.

Can't wait for this to ship :D

It's your friendly robo-owl here again to let you know that this product has been pushed back to a January release now. Apologies for the continued confusion!

Do these cards have a unique back as seen in the rules card above or does each tradition have the same back as previous sets so you can integrate the spells into the existing decks?

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Lost Omens, Pathfinder Accessories, Rulebook Subscriber; Pathfinder Battles Case Subscriber

Shipped today for my Sub, Woot!

I can confirm that the digital versions have both JPG and PDF. The backs of the cards are all the one you see above, but the Arcane/Primal/Divine word/label is changed based on the card. This includes the Focus cards, same back picture with just the word Focus.

Can also confirm multiple cards for the same spell in the JPG. Both Arcane and Occult for example have Animate dead with the appropriate Arcane/Occult labels on them

I really wonder why they said "more than 150 spell reference cards" when there are 226 cards. xD (225 if you exclude the one not-a-spell card for the introductions)
Probably so that we don't overhype ourselves about a too big number of spells for the APG as that description was written before the APG released.

(But that ended up making me not have enough spaces to store all these cards. I should have bought with more future-proofing in mind. :x )
