Hrm. I'm not quite sold on this set. I remember trying to use the AP gear cards before and that ran aground quickly.

That was my first thought too, but unlike the cards for 1st Edition, which had blank backsides, THESE ACTUALLY HAVE THE RULES WITH PRICE AND BULK! :-)

I'm not seeing that as a major point for me as I could easily write down the same details (or other details that I may want) in a blank space.

I'm sure it'll be good for some, it's just very niche for my games.

Would love this for myself, would love a pdf of this even more though so I could make items needed for my players equipment sets. Otherwise each player would need their own set potentially or as a game master I'd need 4 or more copies potentially?

Card list would be nice too, love this product, will likely get it, but could be a bit more useable as a pdf

I was making my own cards for 1E and am glad they're making these :D

I also agree that the AP ones were pointless though.

Do these include PDF if on subscription?

Does this include magic items? The description doesn't specify but the images used are magic items, so I would guess the answer is yes but want to be sure because I will not need these if they're only mundane items.

These cards draw from the Equipment chapter, so it includes items listed under "Magical Gear" on page 293. It does not include other items from the Crafting and Treasure chapter. (The current product image is a mockup—the finished box features more mundane objects.)

I'm more interested in cards of the alchemical items, talismans, and potions than most of the other adventuring gear. Although kits and tools would be nice also.

Dark Archive

I count 100 Adventuring Gear items on Table 6-9 (CRB page 288 ) plus 4 uncommon adventuring gear items on Table 6-10 (same page).

Together with the 5 items from the magical gear Table 6-12 (page 293) that makes 109 items.
The 110th card will probably be a reference card.

What is the thinking behind this business decision? I would think that if you priced the PDF near the price point of the cards themselves, you would likely be ahead.

Myself, I buy the PDF as a cheaper way to see if I can actually use the product and if I find I can use it, I buy the hardcopy product too.

Unikatze, can you give me a description of how you would use these cards? I'm having difficulty in envisioning the purpose you would put them to and I assume this is just a deficiency on my part.

Thanks,

Nifty

There are so many things to keep track of mechanically. It's easy to forget even the simple things that your weapon or armor can do. Much like the more mundane items of this set. It's very beneficial to have something like a card sitting right in front of you with all the relevant info on it.

The Elixir of LIfe, Minor card says it heals 1d8 hit points, but in the Core Rulebook this elixirs heals 1d6 hit points. Which one is correct?

You are wrong, it says 1d8 in the CRB.

Where are you looking Marco? On page 548 of the CRB it definitely lists a minor elixir of life as healing 1d6.

Elixir of Life ≠ Healing Potion

That's right folks! It's a typo!

Do these cards include the current Errata? There is a new Alchemist’s Lab item and quite some changes regarding bulk values.

I just compared my cards to the Errata. Yes the changes are included. That said, I'm going to hold out judgment on I'd the Minor Elixir of Life has a typo until the Errata Paizo is currently working on is released. They may be changing it from 1d6 to 1d8. We can only wait and see. But until we hear from Paizo, I'm going to continue to enforce the books description of 1d6 in the games I run.

The effect is really minor compared to the bulk changes so no big issue for me. Thank you for answering my question.

is there going to be a PDF version of this item?

They don’t normally release PDFs of their card products.

And I'll add a vote for this as well for a PDF option as well please, more than a few gamers play exclusively (or mostly) online, Roll20 now has a 5 million user base!!

I have some multiple of the same cards with different numbers on them. Is that by design?

If it is, it is a BAD design, as there are 100 different adventure gear items on Table 6-9 alone.

See my post above.

As i don't have this set (and am not going to pick it up in my FLGS as long as Covid-19 is spreading) and we don't have a set list, i can't say anything for sure.

EDIT: If i take the "Lock" card from the sample art into account, there are multiple items on one card.

Personally i really don't like this approach, as i would have prefered 5 different cards with 5 different locks on them.

Otherwise, how do i know which lock the character carrying the card has on it's person?

I would love to know too. I assume 1d6

I've noticed that the Pathfinder Adventure Gear Deck is not covered by the blog. Will we get that in digital as well, because that would be super useful!

So now that this is available digitally, will it be made available to the accessory line subscribers that got this through the subscription?
