I was kind of hoping the Giganotosaurus' description didn't mention what its length or height was. I understand that they were meant to fill in the gaps of CRs and size categories for prehistoric animals, like James said, but I feel like mentioning its size and weight ruins the opportunity to at least allow people who look at the creature to assume that it could be a much bigger fantasy version of the actual animal.
Mentioning that it's 60 feet long at 35,000 pounds seems like it's only going to confuse people, especially when there are creatures, such as Colossi, that are 60 feet high and 75+ tons at gargantuan. Even other animals of similar sizes, such as the dire shark and crocodile are gargantuan at a much lower CR.
I just really would like some consistency when it comes to a creature's size category, which is pretty much zero. It's not just animals recently, either, it's a problem in every bestiary.
I'm sorry, but the thing you're concerned about isn't relevant at all.

I'm certainly drooping a review as soon as I get this book.
I believe this and the other hardcovers comings out this year are really important books, as their feedback is the key for the future of paizo products, and I'm expecting good reviews for all of them - specially Book of the Damned.
While I'm aware that there are numerous other factors that are taken in consideration, just as I hope a good reception of the sixth bestiary will lead us into the seventh, I would certainly like to see another book like BotD.

WHAT?!
ALTER EGO IS A THING?!
THAT IS EXACTLY THE TYPE OF MONSTER I NEED FOR TOMORROW'S STRANGE AEONS GAME!
Starts repeatedly slamming the F5 key on his keyboard.
I have to say, I'm surprised how many people here apparently didn't buy Occult Bestiary <_<
I mean, seriously, Occult Bestiary is great and its shame most of people are introduced to monsters from it only now
Edit: Also, if there are three kamaitachis, can they do that classic mythology thing(assuming I haven't heard wrong again) where first one knocks down person, second one cuts them and third one heals them so they end up having wounds without pain? (because scarring people is funny for them I guess?)

Not really, their Delayed Doom ability will lapse after 2 weeks if they haven't activated it yet, but they don't actually have the ability to heal the damage they cause.

I will be dropping a review when the book gets a store release.
I can say that at least I got a few creatures I have been asking for a long time like the nekomata, giant sundew, giant starfish, etc.
I do like the three new 0HD races though I do wish catfolk were as powerful as the rougarou:(
I really like the new kaiju, I wish we could have gotten more then 3.

I own the Occult Bestiary, actually. Turns out I only have an encyclopedic mind for Player ôptions.:-P

So, could someone describe the new clockworks appearance?
The art is good, but they essentially look like crash-test dummies with some filigree.

The clockwork assassin (the coolest looking IMHO) is down on one knee, its right arm ending in a rapier out away from its body while its left arm is bent in towards itself with various tubes projecting around a device reminiscent of Deadshot's wrist gun. A single red light is lit where its eyes should be.
The clockwork fiend has bat wings, a long tail, digitigrade knees ending in cloven feet, the hand have claws, it has long horns and there is a fire burning in its head that glows out of its mouth and eyes.
The clockwork guardian looks like a man in armor with a single glowing blue eye showing out of a finned helm. On arm has a massive shield and the other ends in what looks like a small wrecking ball.
The clockwork hound looks like a beagle made of metal.

That clockwork assassin description sounds... familiar.

It was ALL admittedly one of the most fun reviews I've read for a product in a long time, so...
Even though it was a 'bazilion' posts [ ;p ], thank you!
I'm quite excited to get mine!
Carry on!
No, really - do!

Don't apologize! That was actually kind of a cool way to review the book! I like it!
(hence the winking smiley face at the end!)

Ahhh. So, THAT'S what the spines are for. Does it get art? Also, how awesome are the entomothropes?

Wait there's a Bestiary 7 now?! How did I not know this?!!
Also, as for why some of us forgot about Occult Bestiary...some of us were broke when it came out. So...
But in staying on topic!
About one piece of artwork I am curious about: Szuriel, does she look like her BotD art or something else?
BotD art.

Just looked through a friend's copy of this. I'm absolutely floored it's so incredibly good. My only complaint is that I wish there were more celestials in it but I still think it's totally awesome. :D
Also, you've given stats to Arshea, my favorite Emypreal Lord. For that, my Paladin bends the knee and offers praise to the staff of Paizo. ^_^

Why even waste your time quoting me and telling me this when I haven't mentioned anything about it since then. You can add your own post to the things that are irrelevant, here.
