Tawil at'Umr!!!!
I am very pleasantly surprised.
It makes sense, as James has been telling us to read Through the Gates of the Silver Key. as of now, the only other things I can think of that one would need to run that story as an adventure would be "Vaporous Brains from the Spiral Nebula" and the "bearded and finny Gnorri". won't keep hopes up about the Gnorri, though, as they'll be in a 3rd-party book (Sandy Petersen?)

New Oozes types, Blights, look cool. and yet another reason why the serpentfolk civilisation is a shell of it's former self. Snakefolk druids messing with the mojo of the land and making an intelligent, Hateful, nature-fuelled, protoplasmic menace.
Now all we need is to have someone apply the right templates/varients and give it the voice of Tim Curry, and pseudo-HEXUS can be the villain in a Ferngully styled campaign.

Will there be any new Familiar candidates in the book?
A very few, but yes. They won't be listed under the heading of "familiar" but will be monsters that can be selected as familiars. We've already revealed that the mockingfey from Inner Sea Bestiary is being reprinted in the book, for example. There's at LEAST one more, but since being a familiar is not the primary purpose for them it's hard to recall off the top of my head if there's more than two.

Good, I don't need a lot but it's always nice to have new options :) Even if it's 2 or 3, I'll be happy.
And I do have a preference for "creature who also happens to sometimes serve as a familiar." The purpose-built familiars (like the Ioun one) may make sense, but I have more fun with the more organic ones.

My only hope for this is that the Empyreal Lords won't be wimps this time around. After the disappointments of Cernunnos/Korada/Vildeis and then Andoletta in Chronicles of the Righteous this is the last chance I give Paizo to stat paragons of righteousness.
At least Ragathiel needs to be challenging. He killed the previous Lord of the First, Typhon.

I have no problems with Good being wimpy. After all, they always lose.

Was it? I don't really know. Paizo mentioned Typhon in Hell Unleashed for the first time, confirming his status as the deceased previous Lord of the First, and I remember reading on pathfinderwiki that Ragathiel did kill Typhon (the General of Vengeance also maimed Deumus, and infernal duke ;D ).
EDIT: According to the wiki, this information is indeed from Kobold Quarterly 22. However, I don't know if it is cannon, or if it was made cannon.

IIRC, those Kobold Quarterly articles were written by Wes Schneider, who is also the overlord of Hell for Paizo. I think they count as canon, and I think the article even lists that info as Paizo product identity
They aren't official canon, since they're not in a Paizo product, but they're close enough that if you use them as canon in your game you should be fine.

Are there very many new dinos? I loved that therizinosaurus got some love last bestiary, and I love how formidable they are. Makes me feel like whoever statted them plays Ark Survival Evolved. :)
Four dinosaurs, as in the case of all the other Bestiaries. I've been the one to stat up all the dinosaurs so far, but I've not played Ark. It's not really my style of game... not a huge fan of MMOs.

With the complete understanding that the creative director has spoken, I am still going to provide a counter point. The Golarion articles that appear in Kobold Quarterly issues and on the Kobold Press website are technically canon. The articles were approved by Paizo, they have permission to contain Pathfinder Campaign Setting IP, they were written by Paizo staff or freelancers who work closely with Paizo, and were written specifically to discuss events, characters, or issues that occur in the Golarion Universe.
That being said, it is not unheard of for Paizo to revisit earlier topics and provided slight changes or edits, and in extreme cases change canon to more closely align with their vision for Golarion (see creative director above). So I personally consider them canon with the realization and acceptance that should those topics be revisited (and I hope they will be) there might be changes. :-)

Eh the way I play it I can hardly call it an MMO I play on my own map with just me and the dino's I'm probably playing it wrong but there ya go.

"Some creatures, such as the capricious taniwha, the mysterious green man, or the powerful empyreal lords, might even be willing to provide your heroes aid—if they deserve it!"
Am I the only one that though the taniwha could be a quasi-deity creature? I mean, the other creatures mentioned along it (green man and empyreal lords) are a quasi-deity and even demigods.
After reading about than, you will learn that they were respected as guardians - like the green man - and that there were many distinct members of their kind.
I'm now really interested to know more about the taniwha and what type of creatures they are.
Really, what is their creature type? XD

The Gold Sovereign |

Taniwha, I would suspect of being magical beasts, given they usually appear as sharks or lizards, but I could also imagine them as native outsiders, dragons, or possibly fey or aberrations...but we shall have to see.
If I had to guess I would also choose something between magical beast, outsiders and dragons.

The taniwha is a water monster from Maori legend, so at least we know what plane and environment it's probably associated with. If it wasn't associated with water, I'm sure someone would have a fit.
They probably fit the idea of quasi-deity/ demigod given their immense power over nature, able to shape room for harbours or cause natural disasters like landslides. The capricious part is probably in relation to it acting as a guardian to those that earn its respect, or as monsterous and terrible foe to those that would threaten either its life or the lives/livelihoods of their chosen people, with some taniwha being true monsters, attacking and devouring all that cross within its path, or kidnapping women and men for its own purposes. Either way, this thing is at least a large or huge, because WHALE sized giant lizard/dragon/serpent creature that can devour men, beasts, canoes, etc.
They can be reasoned with, and with sometimes offer a boon or spell in exchange for a gift.
