For almost 2000 years the tombs of the Necropolis of Wati have remained sealed—until now.
Adventurers from all over Golarion have travelled to the ancient city to find lost treasure and uncover the secrets of the past, but some things are best left buried. As Valeros, Ezren, Harsk and Merisiel face traps, ghosts, and undead spirits, sinister forces descend on Wati. The Mask of the Forgotten Pharaoh is about to be discovered—and an ancient evil unleashed.

I thoroughly enjoyed the entire Legends collection for Mummy's Mask. Originally I purchased them just to experience the adventure path, having never had the chance to play it myself, but I quickly found that the excellent voice work, effects, and overall production values were absolutely top quality.
If you like audio dramas even a little, I highly recommend the Legends Mummy's Mask collection.
I thoroughly enjoyed the original Pathfinder Legends for Rise of the Runelords. This arc begins with the same core characters, Merisiel, Ezren, Harsk, and Valeros, now gone to Osirion.
The story takes and trims judiciously from the adventure, using several of the potential plot points and role-playing opportunities in a delightfully natural, game-like feel. The balance of action felt better in this as well (a bit fewer sword-fights for fighting's sake). The story also keeps up the pace with an inventive story-telling convention not typically employed by a tabletop group.
I'm very happy to report that 'The Half-Dead City' is spoiler-free for future books in the Adventure Path (not quite true of Rise of the Runelords). In fact, since the book offers so many potential hooks, it almost feels like you could play this for a group before running them through it without giving too much away. Almost.
Top notch voice-acting, although I personally have trouble telling apart the voice-actors for Merisiel and Velrianna (they *are* different, I checked). However they're rarely in the same scene fortunately.
I really can't wait to share this with my group half-way through the AP, both to enjoy and to remind them of some of the earlier plot points they may have forgotten.
I did in fact, and I'm very happy about that! I loved what I've heard of the Runelords set (just the first and part of the second disc), but wanted them longer. I still need to buy them all for myself, but as long as I get the MM set while they're on sale the price will definitely be even more worth it compared to Runelords
What is this?! Are there any previews, Paizo employees? Or, more to the point, is it similar to the Pathfinder MMO music?
It is an audio dramatization of the adventure path story, done under license by Big Finish.
There used to be a banner for it below all the other product lines. I think it was taken down because it hasn't yet hit a regular schedule of release. Rise of the Runelords was the fists series, and served as a testing ground. This is the second series. You can find out more, including some samples from the Rise of the Runelords adaptation, here.
I listened to the Rise of the Runelords set. It was fantastic. That this will be approximately double the length is awesome news.
Note: I am not a Paizo employee, so I hope you don't mind me responding to your question. Also, my statement that the previous set was fantastic is an opinion. But it is a very good opinion if I do say so myself.

I agree with Hawkmoon. These are fantastic.
Longer version: The audio plays are excellent for straight enjoyment, as well as the game itself. As I GM Rise of the Runelords the audio plays serve as a plot review, as well as helping me with personality and whatnot for the NPCs. Absolutely money well spent.
While i applaud the 2 hour lenght (RotR was very good but left out some very good parts) and find the price compared to $15 for 1 hour very reasonable i am not exited at all by the Adventure Path chosen.
In my opinion "Mummy´s Mask" is the worst Adventure Path of them all and i have read them all and gamemastered 4 of them.
It had a lot of potential but sadly realized very little of it.
Of course in an audio drama you can leave out the bad parts and steer the story as you like.
Ultimately the decision if i buy this or not (i have all the RotR CDs) will depend on the first part being good or not.
I hope we can get an audio sample soon.
I was expecting Jade Regent or shattered Star to be the next AP they would turn into an audio drama. Not upset that it's going to be Mummy's Mask, just a little surprised is all. Also happy to see the run time for each has been doubled. If there was a weakness in the Rise of the Runelords series, it was that they had to fit so much into hour-long episodes. Especially with the later volumes of the AP (I think some really aggressive reworking of the entire second half of the AP would have been needed to make them fit into each episode's hour run time). But with double the time, and almost certainly some careful editing, I think this will be a good one. I think I'll subscribe to this over the weekend (when I can be on MY computer, not a work computer! lol) I'm glad to see Rise did well enough to justify a second season with a longer format!
To sum up: as some unsolicited feedback, the shift to two hour episodes is a big part of my decision to subscribe to Mummy's Mask. Rise was okay, but felt rushed and cramped in the last few volumes. :)

Turns out there IS a PDF inside this download, a magazine called "Vortex", issue #78.
I'm a bit confused, though, I think Vic indicated somewhere that the download would come in some audiobook format besides a simple mp3 collection, or am I misremembering that?

Hi, Zaister!
The download format includes the mp3 audio tracks and a single MBA file, which is the iTunes audiobook format. I'm not sure if other apps can use that format, but it is definitely included in the ZIP file you download. That's the file I listened to on my way to and from work, yesterday.
It was a minor technical issue in our system (not an actual change to the download). I hadn't realized this date had updated with that change, but will be looking out for it in the future. Sorry for any confusion!
Still no Seoni? I thought we were told that future adventures would feature different characters. I love that these are still being made, but the same four characters again is a rather dull choice. Has the decision to feature different iconics in future adventures been changed then?
Big Finish wanted to further establish the main group of characters. They felt that listeners (especially those not familiar with Paizo's iconics) would be disappointed to find the lineup changing just as the series is getting started. Other iconics may be featured in future APs, though.

I guess that's fair enough but I do hope the lineup doesn't stay the same for too long. Perhaps set up a "B Team" of iconics so the original group don't have to split up and could come back later.
