Staying as spoiler-free as possible, the 5th level of Emerald Spire allows a party, with the right choices, to bypass the most serious combats on their way to the exit to the next level.

More Details:
If the summoner in E1 loses his eidolon, his tactics say he flees to join his sisters. This happened in the game...hold that thought until later. The mudlord in E6 can be avoided, and in this case the party did so after figuring out what was in there by scouting from E4. If the summoner in E8 is overpowered, she flees to join her siblings. This also happened in the game. By dint of some excellent Swim checks and Reflex saves, the party avoided being pulled into E10 and fighting the giant moray eel.

So as the party was wrapping up the level, E12 contained all three summoners and their eidolons, plus the variant emerald automaton. But there's a side passage before E12 that leads to the access to the next level down, which they took--neatly avoiding what could have been a very messy fight.

I don't see any guidance on the chronicle sheet or in the scenario itself for reducing the amount of treasure based on the encounters missed. I assume that the items that would be found in those encounters get crossed off the chronicle sheet, but I don't know how much (if any) to reduce the gold awarded. Is that information available, and if so where?

Can circumstance bonuses (e.g. from Specialty Crafting or Virtuosic Performer) be applied to skill checks to Earn Income? I didn't find anything about it in Lorespire or this forum.

Anyone who's ever been an Overseer GM for this special, please DM me. I'm the Overseer for the run at the GameDay, and I've got a question about Part 3.

One caveat re this game--since I'm also the House GM for the PFS1e special, the pace will probably be a little slow for the first half of Outpost.

Currently the statistics boxes on character profiles only allow numbers. Are there plans to allow use of plus and minus signs to accommodate PF2e Remastered stat bonuses/penalties there?

I wasn't able to find answers to these related questions in the FAQs or previous posts:

1) a character has readied an action to sunder or disarm (doesn't matter which for this argument, I think) when an enemy approaches them. The enemy moves to attack and the sunder/disarm attempt succeeds. If the enemy has at least +1 BAB but lacks the Quick Draw feat, can they draw a backup weapon as part of the move action they used to close and attack that round, even though the move action is done?

2) What if the character is using a reach weapon? Can the enemy draw a backup weapon as part of their as-yet incomplete move action, and attack that round?

3) Does the answer to 2) change if the character is making the sunder/disarm attempt as an AoO with a reach weapon?

Thanks much!

Apparently, when Lucasfilms sold the Star Wars rights to Disney, the sale included the rights to all of the books, including Alan Dean Foster's novelization of Star Wars: ANH and _Splinter of the Mind's Eye_, the first SW tie-in novel. When Disney bought 20th Century Fox, the sale included the rights to ADF's novelizations of Alien, Aliens, and Alien 3.

Disney has not paid him any royalties even though all of these are still in print, claiming that "they have purchased the rights but not the obligations of the contract."

This is probably going to get ugly. I have to say I am not impressed by Disney's argument here--Foster's contract apparently includes assignees, and AIUI that's Disney's status wrt the contracts between Foster and Lucasfilms/20th Century Fox. Anyone with a real legal background want to weigh in?

Several years ago, the various General Discussion subfora here were being inundated with spam from Pacific Rim countries. That was when Paizo added "Spam" as an option when flagging posts, among other defenses. (The defenses aren't perfect...the boards have DR vs. spam, not immunity.)

Anyway, at the time we were advised--when we found spam threads--to flag them and move on. It was harder to remove a spam thread with replies on it; IIRC, it was because a spam thread with no replies would automatically go away when they nuked the originating account, but if it had replies from real people those replies had to be individually deleted. AFAIK that's still the case, so when you see a spam thread don't reply to it. Paizo doesn't have enough admins to keep up with the important stuff...we shouldn't be making more work for them.

ETA: revised title at CrystalSeas' excellent suggestion.

One of my non-Organized Play characters, at this profile, has somehow had its profile overwritten with this OP character's. Ordinarily I would chalk this up to my being clumsy with a cut-and-paste, but it's not just the "About <character name> window that was overwritten--it was the character statistics and the header, too. Even a CTRL-A won't copy that way. Can the old profile for the character be restored? Has this ever happened to anyone before?

Background:

The elf nodded at the men loading the caravan, moving several scrolls of parchments towards the fat caravan master. "Ah. Master Tavvos.", he bowed down, the edge of his rapier pointing behind him. "I believe that'll be the field rations set for you." He leaned in closer, unfolding a map on a footlocker. "I would suggest that you pass by Cutthroat pass,", he said, drawing a line with his finger, "Don't let the name fool you.", he let out a smile. "I'd avoid Tymon if I were you, these days. Something riled up the bandits. If you were to pass through there,", he pointed out a small mountain pass, "the worst you're risking is a shakedown, rather than death and torture." The no-nonsense voice emanating from the elf convinced the caravan master, who passed along a hefty pouch to the elf's expectant hand. Rejoining his bodyguard, Maren tossed it into the air, and sheathed it onto his belt.
"Heh. Maren, I don't know how you can lie like this through yer teeth.", the bandit accompanying him chuckled. "Sending him right towards the gang, telling him he'll get robbed, and getting him to tip you for it.", she shook her head. "Marni, dear. I specifically never lied. Now, the bandits around Tymon were very riled last time I heard of them. Granted, that's because they're all dead. Decided to rob a Pathfinder team, of all people." Idiots., Maren shook his head. "And, as I've explained to Deadhand Rob, it's like raising sheep. Instead of skinning the merchants alive, you fleece them for a... road tax of sorts. And if the actual person asking for the road tax shows up later, you split it with him, rather than trying to kill him. Society is a malleable thing, my dear, and the better you know its laws, both written and unwritten, the better you can avoid them." He shrugged, fixing his fancy hat on his towering head. "Now let's hurry. I've got a meeting with two of the barge captains. Oh! And do remind me later to remind Captain Kaisa that she's yet to pay me for the spring."

Backstory:

There has been, in no civilisation, a role better than that of the middle man. Well, excluding the Hallit and the Mammoth Lords, but they're pushing the borders of 'civilisation'. You are listened to by both sides, and both of them have to apply to your needs. If need be, you can wash your hands with any of them, and nobody is the wiser. When the evil king's dethroned, he gets decapitated. The financial advisor more often than not keeps his head, and sometimes even his position.

As long as you don't get greedy. Greed kills the middle man more often than swords, daggers or magic. A sheep is worth more alive, until the point it isn't.

Those were the musings of an Azuliril who moved to civilisation two generations ago. The elves who claim towns to be lacking of mystery, life, and a beating, breathing heart are, quite simply, fools. The big town is just as dangerous as the forest. You can easily starve with food feet away from you, or be killed when you fell in dangerous territory. Or drink tainted water. That hasn't changed much since leaving the forest, truth be told.

Young Marenathen, or Maren for short, grew up in Daggermark, alongside his mother, Caladrastie, or Cala, for short. Exiled from Kyonin several centuries ago, she had decided to silently wage a patient, underground war against Kyonin from the shadows, seeking to undermine the elven lands' integrity the only way a real elf knows how - setting 'lesser species' against them. Centuries later, the River Kingdoms have grabbed a significant part of Kyonin's ancestral lands.

Maren was taught in the ways of reading the city (and occasionally adding your small addendum in the paragraph), and has became quite the successful middleman himself, providing valuable and useless information to the highest bidder, a work profitable enough to afford him a relatively comfortable life in Daggermark's outer circle. However, despite his relative youth, a lesson that's been drilled into his head is 'Opportunity waits for noone.'
