Initial Aid Token assignment, by order on signup sheet: 1d5 ⇒ 1
cmlobue's table will start with the single initial Aid Token.
An Aid Token’s benefits vary based on the table’s subtier, and these benefits can take one of the following five forms.
Aid Another: A Pathfinder agent helps the PCs solve a puzzle, disable a trap, or accomplish some other task as if performing the aid another action for a PC. In Subtiers 5–6 and 7–8, the bonus granted increases by 1. In Subtier 10–11, the bonus increases by 2.
Allied Offensive: A Pathfinder agent strikes a creature at the same time as the PC, increasing the damage dealt by one attack by 1d8 points. In addition, after the attack, the target is considered to be flanked until the beginning of the attacker’s next turn. In Subtiers 5–6 and 7–8, increase the damage dealt to 2d8 points. In Subtier 10–11, this amount increases to 3d8 points.
Burst of Healing: A Pathfinder agent heals all of the PCs of 1d6 points of damage. In Subtiers 5–6 and 7–8, the amount healed increases to 3d6 points. In Subtier 10–11, the amount healed increases to 5d6 points. Alternatively, in any subtier the agent can instead cast neutralize poison, remove curse, or remove disease with a caster level equal to the table’s APL (minimum 5).

I've updated the success reporting form, and will be sending it out once I've confirmed a couple of minor questions.
DM Carbide
Just the usual--Aid Tokens represent assistance from other Pathfinders. A table can use one per encounter, and once they've used it, they pass it to another table. I don't think they can use an Aid Token in Part 1, though.
Also note that at the start of Part 2, all districts are at Threat Level Red, and there's a 50% chance that use of an Aid Token will fail. That won't expend it, though, and the players can try to use it again next round.
DM Carbide
You should have gotten the updated success reporting form. Please let me know if you didn't.
DM Carbide
My table will be ready for the Keynote address later today.
Thanks! If everyone else wraps up before the weekend, I'll move to Part 2 early.
DM Carbide
I'll move things along for real tomorrow. Thanks for keeping me updated on status.
DM Carbide
Let me know if anyone needs the success reporting form resent.
DM Carbide
The reporting tool works for real! Thanks, Majuba!

So my players picked the blue (Northeast) campus, and thus got to do encounter A1, the social encounter.
The northeast campus is the smallest section with a single building to check. If the PCs know other Pathfinders are protecting the Repository (see encounter A1), they need not bother to check it. Otherwise, if the PCs go to check the Repository, begin encounter A1.
They're supposed to remind other pathfinders to do their jobs, but it seems like they are heading to the direction of doing those task by themselves:
Cheering up Pathfinders that are afraid to guard the Center House;Deal with Pathfinders who quesiton their authority when commanded to escort guests; (Which they ignored the NPC pathfinders and escort the guest themselves)
Cheer up Pathfinders that are afriad to stop Absalom city guard from entering; (highly likely for them to go talk to the city guard directly)
Deal with Pathfinders who don't want to be told to guard the Repository.
Should I find a way to tell them that they're only supposed to tell the NPC pathfinders to do their job better , or should I just go with them?
DM Carbide
I think the former. Both the Front Gate and the Repository are long-term tasks for whoever is doing them, as I read the scenario. Since the PCs won't tie themselves up on either of these tasks, that's a failure.
DM Carbide
How is it playing out? A1 seems like it should be quick, as long as the PCs stick to skill checks and don't try to do everything themselves *cough*. A lot of the other ones are CR+2 encounters, though.
DM Carbide
How are people coming with successes? I've only seen two reported so far, and Part 3 nominally starts the 28th; do you think another couple of days would help?
DM Carbide
Excellent! One more success in the South Campus will take that area out of Red.
DM Carbide
The nominal equivalence is 6 minutes RL gaming per day of PbP. Once South Campus is out of Red, though, the Aid Tokens will become more of a factor. Don't forget to have your players use them and pass them on.

It might be an idea to have a link to the success submission form somewhere please. Mine was buried in my e-mail and it took me a while to find it. When I did, I reported a southern area success and got the message pop-up blocked. Did it go through?
Thanks.
DM Carbide
Yours didn't report. I like your suggestion--I'll try to put a link to the form in the header, and if it doesn't work let me know.
DM Carbide
Done, I hope. If it didn't work I'll try it from a real computer instead of my phone.

Well my team just moved to the north east (blue) area and taking on a couple of rhinos, so we'll see what happens when they finish up with that.
Thanks.
DM Carbide
Did the new link let you report the first victory?
phaeton_nz
|
No. It keeps wanting me to edit the form.
DM Carbide
Crud. If course I just shut down my computer. I'll report your first one and try to fix this ASAP.
ETA: I successfully reported your South Campus success. I forgot to ask, though...did the PCs find any supplies?
DM Carbide
The header link should now take you to the form as a reporter, not an editor.
DM Carbide
cmlobue, did you see my early post that your table started out with the aid token?
DM Carbide
About two more days until the end of Part 2.

I've got my lot doing social encounters and I see it's solve three and that's a success. Which area would that be?

Whichever one they're in at the time.
cmlobue, did you see my early post that your table started out with the aid token?
Might need to direct message.

What Majuba said--wherever they are at the time. If you can make it work, I would advise setting it in the NE Campus. That was your last reported success, so it shouldn't be too much of a stretch.
DM Carbide
Current area status:
South Campus: Threat Level Yellow, 6 more successes needed for Green
Northwest Campus: Threat Level Red, 5 successes needed for Yellow
Northeast Campus: Threat Level Red, 3 more successes needed for Yellow
NB: I probably should have been doing this sooner, but the House GM for Year of the Shadow Lodge didn't.
GM_Colin
Just realized that I accidently throw the 10-11 enemy to my 7-8 table for the Repository encounter......I ran too many high level tables for multi-table and I just forgot I have 7-8 this time.
Luckily the 10-11 enemy consist of CR 2 mobs and CR11 Aspis, who have Invisibility, so the players shoudn't notice me swapping out the Aspis...
DM Carbide
Dodged that bullet!
DM Carbide
Current area status:
South Campus: Threat Level Yellow, 6 more successes needed for Green
Northwest Campus: Threat Level Red, 5
Northeast Campus: Threat Level Red, 3 2 more successes needed for Yellow

I'm packing for a trip this weekend, so you'll get another day to work on Part 2.

I presume we finish our current Part 2 encounters before charging into Part 3.
DM Carbide
AFAICT from the scenario, you don't. There are explicit directions at the end of Part 3 for the transition to Part 4, but I didn't see anything similar re the 2->3 transition. I may have missed it, though.
