As I would need to sustain each casting of the spell, no. Unless we can convincingly prop up the guards like a Weekend at Bernie's tableau, it looks like this isn't a realistic option after all. Bummer.

Once they're well away and in the open enough that Ann is reasonably certain no one's eavesdropping on them (barring scrying, which she can't do anything about), she suggests: "I'm curious about what the Dockmaster knows. And it shouldn't be too hard for one or two of us to be stationed off to the side again so they don't see four people together."

Wha--? Stunned by this partial revelation, Auntie Wu's mind churns with slips of barely-formed questions, like fish thrashing in a pond just under the surface. Finally one becomes cohesive enough to break free: "Are we some sort of...unlife?" A chill settles in her stomach. Please no!

Ann shrugs. She has no idea where Moonlight is, and kind of hopes he stays hidden while she and the others walk openly. If the Leshy only notices three of them, perhaps that will help the group avoid unpleasant complications. She adjusts her Mask of the Mantis (its straps were too tight), and follows after Sien.

Mrs. Crinkle joins the throng of Pathfinders all trying to lift one skinny young 'un. "Oh, for cripes' sake, dearies! Let me help. This little old lady is stronger than she looks! Heehee!" She reaches up to help lift Tiziri onto Zenari's back.

She begins wailing and wringing her hands, crying out: "Oh, deary me! Tiziri's sick and needs to be taken to a better hospital! Thon fear thon will never see their precious dolls again! Oh woe is thon! If only Tiziri's dolls would come to thon!"

Having always presented herself as decidedly butch, Ann forces down a grimace as she dons a dress. She's had to dress like a lady for more than one job, and it never feels right. Pants are so much more practical. And wigs are itchy. And the bodice makes it hard to move, she grouses to herself. Recalling a particularly irritating incident from a couple of years ago, she grumbles: "If anyone flirts with me I'll split this dress and punch his face so hard it'll turn inside out!"

Once she's all gussied up to look like a typical member of the wealthy merchant class (with padding to disguise her muscles as "plump"), she bustles out (she hates bustling) to gather gossip. Of particular interest is information about which Vernai are searching for her and her party.

Grim-eyed at Lan's assessment, Auntie Wu replies: "Regardless, we've gotta try. All the evil here is dangerous, and it has to be eliminated to keep our people safe!"

Her thoughts stray momentarily to her children and grandchildren, but she doesn't allow them to linger more than a moment. It's time for action. But first, she takes a hearty swig from her alcohol gourd and passes it around to anyone who wants it. "Vekka, stand next to Lan and follow his lead. Sigurd, you and Kazuki stand my other side. Let's do this!"

Unless someone stops her, Auntie Wu begins chanting:

"Be cleansed from darkness into light. Be released from despair into hope. Be unbound from evil into goodness. Be freed from threat into safety. Be delivered from fear into trust." She continues, her voice building gradually until she's nearly shouting.

I feel like Ann would've recommended scattering immediately upon entering, just in case of a situation like this. That way the whole group couldn't be implicated.

Per the previous agreement, Ann is waiting within sight of the rendezvous point. What's taking them so long? She itches to go find out, but feels that the chances of passing each other like ships in the night are not in her favor. And so she waits.

The creatures in E10 are triangles with exclamation points inside them.

I kind of want that to be the actual monster. Perhaps a relative of Bill from Gravity Falls.

I went ahead and paid full price for all the things I obtained. (+2 weapon potency rune, wounding rune, and some others that weren't among the loot we found.) Are we limited to what we found? If not, I'm pretty much ready, except for reducing the cost of items that were found.

It would be a hairy mess if your PC (and only your PC) leveled up in the middle of a scenario, hence waiting until they're finished to apply GM credit.

May I please retrain the following?:

Current 1st level Ancestry Feat: Natural Ambition (Wolf Stance)
Proposed new 1st level Ancestry Feat: General Training (Battle Medicine)
Granted, she's not the best healer, but she's the beefiest and most likely to survive long enough to get a healer back up in a pinch.

Current 4th level Class Feat: Stunning Blows (She never fights with just her fists, so this is pointless.)
Proposed new 4th level Class Feat: Stand Still

Fortunately, Morga happens to be with Hilga as her last breath passes. She holds her own breath, unconsciously, straining to no avail to hear her great aunt take another. With a long sigh, her shoulders slump, accepting defeat. She lingers, holding the limp hand of her relative, too exhausted in body and mind to weep.

Morga ensures that Great-Aunt Hilga is buried beside her husband, Gertrund Fistcrusher, then somehow finds time to arrange an estate sale and sell the house in between tending to the remaining Rust Creep patients. Nearly all the proceeds from the sale are distributed among the families impacted by the Rust Creep, though she keeps a small amount for herself so she can afford food and lodging now that she's not staying for free in the old house. She knows Autumn would've handled the money differently, but tough luck. Besides, the gifts might help soften some of the townsfolk's opinions of the group from Sandpoint.

The trip back down to destroy the ritual altar is uneventful. Fortunately the boggard queen is still alive and remembers them. Morga smashes and bashes until there is nothing left of the ritual and her arms and emotions are utterly numb. The boggards are relieved when the surface-worlders trudge tiredly back up the stairs, as they can finally pull the wadded cloths out of their ears.

It takes Morga several seconds to process the fact that Elsie is tending to an elderly dwarf woman. She's...still alive? Wordlessly, she approaches, afraid to break the illusion. Can her great-aunt still be alive, really? She takes the feeble, veined hand in her own and presses it gently, her eyes roving the wrinkled face on the pillow. A whisper barely escapes her lips: "Great-aunt Hilga?"

More RP with great-aunt Hilga possible later, maybe as a flashback/montage once I know how she's really doing.

Morga tirelessly works to help heal as many of the invalids as possible over the coming days, including Autumn and San. In fact, it's almost necessary to drag her away and tie her to a bed to get her to rest. Her go-to response to such efforts is typically a terse: "I can sleep when they're well, dammit!" How much of this is duty and how much is a deep-seated desire to expunge the last vestiges of that evil from the world is something she'll have to tease out when she's strung enough hours of sleep together to think straight.

Once everyone's healed, she asks Vildran about that magical pick. "Does it have any enchantments on it that'll make it easier to completely destroy those runes where Meitremar was casting the ritual? I want to make sure no one can re-use any of that to finish what he started." Regardless, she suggests that the two of them invite San and Autumn along to thoroughly smash everything in that room. She knows that Autumn won't want to get dirty or work, but won't mind watching others do so; and Vildran may regret the loss of knowledge for knowledge's sake, but he certainly is wise enough to know that leaving around dangerous knowledge that can't be properly protected is worse. And San has good strong arms to make the job go faster.

She hasn't thought yet about how demoralizing it'll be to go back to her ordinary life after this, what with all the trying-not-to-die she's been doing, but it'll hit her like a brick as soon as things wrap up here.

When she gets a chance to think with a clear head, she'll be both incredulous that she was instrumental in ending such a dire threat and deeply grateful for the opportunity. It will give her motivation to make her own choices about what path her life should take.

Also, we don't know what tricks he had up his sleeve for resurrection. Ann wants to make good and sure that his soul *actually* leaves his body. And she's wishing she could cast a spell to disintegrate his corpse, just to be sure. He's died and popped back up so many times already.

It takes 10 minutes, so that might be the deciding factor. Also, I'm assuming that Moonlight will carry the two panaceas and two greater healing potions unless he says otherwise.

She also slips her dagger to the woman, noting that Hellebore has made a similar offer to Talmar. Situating their two rescues in the center of the Pathfinders' group, she mutters: "Now we watch, and wait."

A part of her hopes that Midley Blackburn bids extra high on the next one. An amusing thought occurs to her, and she leans over to Piotr to whisper: "Let's act like we're discussing our next bid, just like the last two times. If Blackburn thinks we'll bid high again, he will have to bid even higher to stand a chance. The idea of him throwing away his money only to lose his prize amuses me."
