Does this book include monsters too?

There is a reason it doesn't include any new monsters. Instead in the free book first contact paizo explained the monster stat blocks and told us how to convert pathfinder monsters into star finder. Then we will get more as the adventure paths release and I believe alien archive is about new monsters and the like.

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

Paizo and infact most things don't do shipping on the weekends. People need a break when they are going through these packages for 7 hours a day 5 days out of the week.

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

Looks like no luck this week. Damn. Thank you Sara for keeping us up to date.

Thanks, Sara. Is there any particular order or priority in which things are being shipped that you can share with us? (Alphabetical, time of order, internal customer ID #)?
It's all based on being as efficient as possible for the warehouse staff to ship. The simplified version is that packages are categorized by shipping methods, content, box size (and other internal factors). Warehouse staff might pull all the Standard postal International packages containing a Core Rulebook, an AP and the maps and jam out those, and then move on to UPS Domestic containing just a Core Rulebook because that the size of the next batch that they can finish before they're done for the day. We have staff working on larger batches of "simple" orders in assembly line fashion and then also staff working on "complex" orders or other orders that don't fall into large enough batches, (this is very over simplified and Will is probably shaking his head laughing at me). The pattern of which we ship sets of orders can vary from month to month depending on a number of factors.
So pretty much depending on our order we're somewhere in a lottery and it'll ship when it ships? :P

The idea of the assembly line makes this seem like a lottery for anyone who day just got the core rulebook and nothing else. Who knows when someone will get theirs.

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

Sadly looks like nothing for today.

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

The anticipation is killing me

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

Alright moving my focus what goodies do we have from the mammoth lords?

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

Any details on the Twilight Talons? Always been interested in them.

Apparently someone else already asked for me.

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

Here's my two scents on the size of the adventure path. The originals were made so long because they were adding more info that they couldn't fit into the original core rule book. Hopefully they feel they have streamlined the Startin der core rule book to the point where they fit the fluff in there like info on the world's and the gods. All the knowledge that was held in the back of the adventure paths is probably now compacted into the core rules

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

Ah yes, long may he Praise.

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

I don't know I think we have to wait and we all got our hopes up for nothing.

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

If we don't see anything by 5 PST then it will most likely be tomorrow but I still hve my hopes up for this to get out the doors today.

Is the whole, "Skeld gets his first" thing just a running joke?

Kind of, but if someone else does get it before him they aren't among the people who come onto the forums to help with people's requests and such they just sit at home quietly and rid it for themselves and we never here about them.

I don't expect them to start shipping until 5:00pm eastern time if they start today.

Well in theory if they had things set up to begin with back on friday then they could start printing out those labels pretty quickly after the doors open so it would be more like 12 EST when the offices on the west coast open (3 hour difference and and big time jobs open up around eleven) I mean again there are a lot of subscribers and they can only print and scan so many at once.

Hello Verzen,

There was not a card attached to your subscription or the order. I attached the card I saw on your account to both. It authorized smoothly and everything looks good now.

In the future you will want to create a new thread on the customer service forums as we may not always see posts made in places like the product discussion.

Thanks!

^In my experience emailing customer service helps too.

Besides that I'm so hoping i get my PDF Monday. I want to tear into the corruption rules and start looking into getting my GM to allow them on a character idea.

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

I want the hive corruption so many fun ideas, greatest of all is building skitter in some manner

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

I'm really curious how the corruption rules will work, I want to see if I can convince my GM to do some new stuff under the new rules.

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

Well then this makes an interesting predicament because either this whole thing is a Typo in the book (based on the potential power of ability I doubt it is) or the writer of the piece didn't think about it. Seeing as it would require re training or taking a one level dip in something else before so that you last Phrenic amplification would fall on 20th level. This is ineffective as the ability has a save associated with it that is based on your psychic level. I wish we could get some Dev input but who knows if we'll get that lucky

There are the retraining rules in Ultimate Campaign, where you can retrain a normal feat.

You'd have to do that anyway, because you can only free retrain fighter bonus feats to another combat feat, which the discovery is not.

Well to quote the book.

Quote:

A psychic can learn a psi-tech discovery in place of a

phrenic amplification or a feat.

This means that any feat could be sacked for this so a fighter bonus feat at 20th level could suffice.

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

In Occult realms under the psi-tech abilities we have the "capstone" of them all Artificial Ascension. As written it says that a character must be 20th level to take this Discovery. That's all well and dandy and for the potential power of the ability that's a good point to be able to get it.

The issue I find is in the ability to actually get it. In order to take a Psi-tech Discovery you either sacrifice a feat or a phrenic amplification. The last Phrenic amplification a psychic receives is at 19th level and that's the last point you can get a feat as well.

Pathfinder assumes that Epic levels aren't a thing so there is no level 21 feat to replace for this and the only other way I can think of to get the ability is dip a level of fighter to get a bonus feat and swap out that feat. But that seems sub-optimal to me.

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

I have gone on a journey through the internet and no where can I find an official ruling for this. Can a swashbuckler take the signature deed feat. The rules have never been clarified as far as I can tell and I have spoken with my GM about this and he says no until a dev comes along and says otherwise and it's hurting me on the build I set out for.

I would be deeply thankful if this question could finally be answered.

I could see a team of kobold played as one player. That could be really awesome. Their basic attack could be all 5 or so kobolds mauling a target. As levels go up, they'd get more efficient.

The RP aspect would be interesting to keep track of, but I'd give it a go in a home game, it at least sounds hilarious.

Well that certainly is a funny idea. But a swarm fighter doesn't NEED another swarm fighter kobold. It doesn't say it anywhere in the class.

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

I have this idea in my head about putting together a kobold swarm fighter and was wondering how the community thought about building one. Assume a point buy (that's what I see most often) and starting level one. but also progression ideas and the such. kiinds of weapons feat builds and all that.

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

I noticed in the new spells section of the play test that the new spells (mind thrust, mental barrier, etc.) don't have proper spell components. Rather than the usual M, V, S, F, or DF they have T and E that aren't given an explanation for what they mean. If someone could clear this up I would thank you very much.

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

I've got a rules question. in the back the psychic spells, the components say T and E. What do these mean?

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

I agree with a lot of the statements for better BAB I'm not sure whether it would be a sudo-full BAB like the Monk/Brawler or proper Full BAB. The problem is that the class is completely based on being able to hit with the wild blast and if he can't hit with it due to his 3/4 BAB then it defeats her purpose.

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

I look at this class and that is all I can see it as. When I read through the infusions I started getting this feeling that it reminded me of all the abilities. Water being able to heal with there power, creating walls to block of attacks with earth or water. If you remove the AEther element than you have a bender.

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

So after reading through this class I have come to the conclusion that it is the closest any roleplaying game has come to the benders from avatar, and I love that.

Last but not least, what happens to all the loot you don't take with you?
Your comrades just get more stuff, which they then might invest in items they could use to buff you..

It says in the vow that that extra lootl aka your share must be donated for charities and the such.

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

I knew I forgot something. I know it is a trap I want it for role playing purpose. To have a goodie time.

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

Alright the title should explain it all. I want thoughts on viability. Pros cons. How to optimize such a thing.

I'm thinking of convincing my gm about this by i want an idea of how it could work before i propose the idea.
