Im getting this message and Im just trying to open the file. Is there some trick to opening the file? Are you saying that when you double-click on the .xlsb file, Excel asks you for a password? I've not heard that one before. Could it be possible that are trying to modify an area that is locked? For example, trying to change the ability scores directly on the main Sheet... Regarding the wording of the Automation Lore: Enhancement: Your gain greater understanding. Increase your proficiency rank in either Arcana or Crafting, as well as Automaton Lore, to expert. If you were already an expert in the chosen skill, increase your rank to master instead. Does the last phrase (in bold) also applies to the Automation Lore skill if it is already Expert rank? While implementing the Shadowcaster Archetype, I noticed (on page 226) that the feat name Shadow Spell is used twice - one has an "s" and the other ones without the 's'!! Please use more distinction with feat NAMES to avoid and reduce confusion. Thanks!! TOS Admin
This is a subtle one...! So while adding content from Secrets of magic to the next edition of TOS 2nd PRO edition, I noticed that on page 181, the Chatterer of Follies item description says: "This heavy +1 striking khakarra (Advanced Player’s Guide 248) is..." The proper spelling, as found in the APG book, is written as:

While working to add this book to TOS 2nd PRO edition, I noticed that for the 'Heightened (9th)' for the Angel Form, they say the forms are Large.. does this ALSO apply to the Choral which specifically starts 'small'? TOS Admin
Does it work on mobile phones? TOS products work on any device which has the full Microsoft Excel application (i.e. with Macros/VBA). This ranges from Excel 2007 to Excel 365. Alternatively, you can use remote desktop application similar to TeamViewer to connect a tablet to a PC running Excel. This is covered in this video. Cheers!
I really wish that PAIZO would NOT re-use Feats names in their rules... it adds unnecessary confusion and would be easy to avoid.... Reckless Abandon is both a Goblin ancestry feat (APG page 45) AND a Barbarian class feat (CORE page 93) I suggest this be replaced for the Goblin... something like Reckless Goblin or whatever... I've been working on adding content from the APG to TOS 2nd PRO edition tool. In the Animal Feature Ranger focus spell (p.234) is listed as: Cast [one-action] somatic, verbal This is the first time I see a single action spell, requiring two casting components...! Is this a typo? Or a new normal?

In a medieval setting, I can easily see a bucket line forming to handle fires. But in a Fantasy setting, that seem like a simplistic option for a city with so much magic as Magnimar! So I've been pondering this and perhaps something like this: The city owns a couple (or one per sector?) of Decanter of Endless Water that can be brought forth to the nearest blaze. I am thinking that 'fire warriors' can be deployed using a magical way, like a Carpet of Flying to quickly reach the source of a blaze (flying over obstacles and houses allows the 'fire warrior' to go directly to the blaze, no obstacles, no wasted time!) Special lookouts (guards) are trained to spot fires in the city and have a (magical) way of messaging the 'fire warriors' so they can be dispatched as soon as possible!! As an update to this... I found that the book Guide to Korvosa (page 17) has a table that indicates the cost of various buildings - including a cliffside manor and Townhouses. Townhouses are between 30k gp and 80k gp, and the cliffside manor is listed at 80k+ gp! I've not found any info on property taxes, so I'll use something like a 3% yearly tax rate on the value of the house. Thank you for the replies!!!

TOS 2nd CORE edition is'nt free, but it's one heck of a powerful product! I am about to release the next build, which adds Dynamic Play! This will allow players to activate spells and condition on the fly while they are at the gaming table. With support for the stacking rules and the ability to create custom content, TOS 2nd CORE edition is most likely the best character manager you'll find for Pathfinder 2nd edition! If you get serious about playing PF2, then you have a serious option to handle your PCs!

For those seeking an alternative to simple sheets, the powerful TOS 2nd tool is under construction (and has been since last year!) Same as the TOS+ or TOS FIVE Character Managers, TOS 2nd will help players manage their Pathfinder second edition characters by doing as much of the Math as possible! Creating a Character in TOS 2nd will require much less 'writing down' stuff, as anything you select will have the description automatically added. This means you will be able to focus more on playing the game, and waste less time on writing down your character's abilities and adding its numbers! With any luck, TOS 2nd will be ready in August 2019 and should be available directly on the Paizo store!
Considering the Fey Magic trait:
Fey Magic (2 RP): The character has a mystic connection to one terrain type, selected from the ranger’s favored terrain list. The character selects three 0-level druid spells and one 1st-level druid spell. If the character has a Charisma score of 11 or higher, when in the selected terrain, she gains these spells as spell-like abilities that can be cast once per day. The caster level for these effects is equal to the user’s character level. The DC for the spell-like abilities is equal to 10 + the spell’s level + the user’s Charisma modifier. These spells are treated as being from a fey source for the purposes of the druid’s resist nature’s lure class feature and similar abilities. In addition, select two of the following skills: Acrobatics, Bluff, Climb, Diplomacy, Disguise, Escape Artist, Fly, Knowledge (nature), Perception, Perform, Sense Motive, Sleight of Hand, Stealth, Swim, or Use Magic Device. The selected skills are always class skills for the character. Lastly, the human also gains low-light vision. This trait replaces skilled. As written, it seems like it's different from scent...but I'm not sure why. Would have been simpler to just give Gnomes the existing ability rather than putting together a new conditional one. Exactly!! And they even specify ..."all scents with incredible detail"... TOS Admin

From p 197: Your proficiency modifier for a spell’s attack roll is the same as your proficiency modifier with spell rolls. So it is not the caster's 'Level", but rather your Proficiency from Spells, which also includes your training... right? I.E. Character level + training bonus (+0 for Trained, +1 for expert, +2 for master or +3 for legendary) Am I interpreting the rules correctly? ALSO: Is there such a thing as a NON touch attack (Melee or Ranged) for SPELLS? Or are spells ALWAYS either a melee touch attack, or a ranged touch attack? I am trying to figure out WHAT I will be showing on the Spell Planner I am building, spell-attack wise...! TOS admin

I've been going through the rules and I dislike the use of Ancestry instead of Race. It seems to me this was changed for the 'newness' of the word or to be different from most RPGs. This does not work for me. Race is short, and to the point. Race is exactly what it is. While a Class can be called a Profession, I much prefer the former to the later... Same case here for Race. So I humbly suggest you do a CTRL-F in your Rules, and simply search/replace Ancestry with the more common work Race !!! P.S. Fun Fact: Replacing Ancestry with Race saves 4 characters, while replacing Ancestries with Races saves 6 characters!! LESS ink = more ecological = better for the planet, right? :)
TOS+ v5.137 is now available to all subscribers! In this new update, a whole lots of Artifacts from the Ultimate Equipment and various adventure paths have been added to the Sheet. You are trying to modify areas that are not meant to be modified. The input zones are [usually] white. For example, if you are trying to set your ability scores in the upper left of the FRONT worksheet, you will get that error: Ability scores are entered on the right side of the FRONT worksheet. Same goes for Skills... Hint: Anytime you see the 'locked' message, you know you're trying to change something in the wrong place... TOS

saw PCgen on the D20pfsrd site and it said it was free. Is it a decent product? Are there better ones for free? I would consider the FREE TOS CORE much better than PCGen... I actually started working on my Character Sheet when I couldn't understand how PCGen worked... lol You can read about TOS CORE here.
From the Hedge Witch (Archetype): Empathic Healing (Su): A hedge witch can minister to a diseased or poisoned target, redirecting the affliction into herself. For a poisoned target, the witch must tend to him as a standard action; he makes his next saving throw against the poison as normal, but the witch suffers the effects of the failed save instead of the poisoned creature. For a diseased target, the witch must tend to the sick person for an hour; he makes his next saving throw against the disease as normal, but the witch suffers the effects of the failed save instead of the diseased creature. The witch does not actually become poisoned or diseased (and is not contagious and does not need to be cured), but suffers the effects of the affliction as if she had been. The witch normally uses this ability to extend the life of someone near death, giving him time to recover. This ability has no effect if the witch is immune to disease or poison. This replaces the witch's hex gained at 8th level. Is this ability first available to the Hedge Witch at level 1 or level 8??

Back in 2003, I started working on my own character sheet, as I was very disappointed with the quality of the D&D sheets that existed at that time. Nine years later, TOS+ has become extremely powerful and customizable. The Community that has grown around it is friendly, and a lot of shared resources (classes/races etc.) can be downloaded directly from the Community Forum. TOS+ can be easily used for either Dynamic Play (i.e. type 'Haste' to apply it directly to your character) with a Laptop or Printed for pen & paper play. Being based on Excel, all the power of Excel is behind it - this allows unprecedented 'customizability' and ease of use (for example, you enter basic information DIRECTLY on the FRONT/BACK sheets - those very same sheets that you will print!) When the bard stops his Bardic Performance, and the "Lingering Performance" feats steps in, does the Bard "looses/uses" additional rounds for his bardic performance per day? I.E. If the Bard Inspires Courage in round #1, and does something else in round #2 and #3, will this cost him 3 rounds OR will Inspire Courage cost him 1 round for his rounds/day? My group is 'split' about this... Has any clarification of this feat been posted somewhere!? thanks! RiTz21
